New video of Elizabeth Olsen at a Q&A screening of "HIS THREE DAUGHTERS" in NYC on September

getting that script with the part written for you and what went through your mind reading it well AA and I we've worked with each other twice before and have continued to want to work with each other and um and so I it didn't really matter what he was going to share with me I was excited to assume that I was going to do it um before reading it but even before reading it there is a letter and he and I spoke that he shared with all of us that he wanted to film it where we all felt like we were equal partners he knew exactly the budget he was going to be able to have he knew he wanted to shoot on film he wanted to edit it himself um and he wanted us to shoot as much in order as possible and so it was really the entire ethos of the project that I was I was so excited to be a part of and uh and then also to to open a first page and see Katie speak for a page and a half I just thought I was I just uh I loved that you know I've never I've never seen that before in a screenplay um and he also wrote it exactly how he was going to shoot it it was all very it was indicated very clearly that we were not going to cut away that we were going to stay in these shots he end up do he end up editing a cutaway but we filmed that entire scene believing that that one setup was going to be one take whatever take worked um and so it was very it was everything was very intentional from the start and um yeah
