you may remember that the day before uh 911 uh Joe Biden said this going up to my granddaughter's birthday in New York then we're going to watch a debate then tomorrow I'm doing 9/11 tomorrow I'm doing 911 well one of the widows of a firefighter that lost his life on 91 uh 911 uh was not particularly happy about that remark and had this to say during the ceremony my husband of 30 years was one of them is outrageous that our government would ever entertain the thought of granting the terrorists a plea deal if not for the outcry of the 911 Community who knows what might have transpired it has been 23 years and the families deserve justice and [Applause] [Music] accountability the elected Fe officials here today show their respect and reverence to the families on September 11th or in our president's words June 911 quite a flippant remark but please remember that the September 11th families live it every day not just on the anniversary God bless that woman uh first of God bless her and her family and she lost her husband a firefighter in 911 as I mentioned I had had a cousin who was a firefighter and queens who who was dealing with 9/11 way back then uh he's he was fine um but the fact that Biden and yes it's because his brain has turned to Mush that he made that flipping remark but good for her for for saying something
