hey what's happening everybody Ford is recalling more than 30,000 Mustangs due to a steering issue now the automaker said in a June 28th recall report filed to the nhtsa that the Mustangs at risk of experiencing the unintentional steering wheel turning belonged to the 2022 and 2023 model years the recalled Vehicles were built between September 15 2022 and April 5th 2023 now a steering wheel that turns unintentionally can cause a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash the recall said now this is a pretty serious thing if you have this model year must thing I highly recommend like right now you start making the phone calls um get to the dealer do whatever you got to do and get the situation fixed cuz this is the one of the things that has always concerned me with some of these newer components and these vehicles is the steering pole just turning by itself it seems like a nightmare scenario anyway from Ford our goal is to prevent quality issues from happening in the first place in a statement to Fox Business when they do occur our focus is on responding quickly with a recall or service action to prevent our customers from experiencing issues with the least convenience possible we are committed to improving our launch quality and long-term quality and our already starting to see improvements in both all right so yeah so Ford needs to get on this it's a serious serious situation in the recall report Ford linked a problem to improper calibration of the secondary digital torque sensor in the steering gear that the Michigan based automaker can fix through a software update here we go people not to be conspiratorial but software in a mechanical issue I don't like like I'm an old school person I kind of prefer when Vehicles were not so dependent on computers and software so on and so forth but four dealers will do that update for free at participating dealerships affected customers can use the company's pickup and delivery service for getting their recall vehicle fix Ford told Fox Business all right notification letters will start being sent in early August Ford has offered Mustang models for six decades with the iconic car having celebrated its 60th birthday in mid April people have purchased over 10 million of them since the models debut the company said at the time all right everybody be safe take this recall serious get your car in get your car in to get fixed and that quarter they saying right here it was what your model years yes if you have a 2023 2022 2023 model year Mustang make the phone calls see what you got to do make sure you're safe take care everybody
