TINA PATEL, KCAL NEWS. >> MANY MEMBERS DEALING WITH THE AFTERMATH OF THE AIRPORT FIRE. PART OF THE COMMUNITY FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS HAS BEEN COMPLETELY DEVASTATED. >> WE ARE JOINED BY BROOKE WARNER. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING WITH US THIS MORNING. WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT. >> CAN YOU SPEAK TO US ABOUT LEARNING, WHEN HE LEARNED OF THE LOSS OF PINE MANOR. >> OH MY GOSH. IT WAS DEVASTATING. THAT IS PART OF LIVING IN THIS COMMUNITY. WHEN THIS FIRE HAPPENED PHOTO STARTED COMING IN FROM MY MOM FIRST WHICH IS NOT AN UNUSUAL EXPERIENCE. IT JUST TRICKLED IN THAT THERE WERE RUMORS THAT IT WAS LIKELY GONE. WHEN THE CONFIRMATION CAME, ALL CLEAR ENOUGH IT WAS DURING THE TRUMP HARRIS DEBATE. I CALLED MY MOM AND CRIED. SO MANY IN THE COMMUNITY ARE DEVASTATED, OF COURSE. >> SUCH A PART OF THE COMMUNITY FOR MORE THAN THREE DECADES NOW. CAN YOU TALK TO PEOPLE THAT MAY NOT HAVE BEEN OUT THERE JUST TO OTHERS THAT HAVE VISITED. >> FOR OUR FAMILY, IT IS OUR HOME. IT IS A RETREAT CENTER THAT MY MOM HAD A VISION FOR 30 YEARS AGO. IT HAS BROUGHT SO MUCH JOY AND COMMUNITY BUILDING. THESE BUILDINGS WERE ALL BUILT BY PEOPLE THAT CAME IN FOR RETREATS. IT WAS JUST A CONSISTENT PLACE OF EMBRACE AND COMMUNITY WHERE PEOPLE JOIN TOGETHER TO HAVE ALL KINDS OF, YOU KNOW, SPECIAL RETREATS FROM EARTH AND BUILDING TO YOGA. THIS HAS BEEN MY MOM'S VISION. SHE PUT HER ENTIRE LIFE INTO. SHE JUST SOLD THE TWO YEARS AGO TO SOMEONE ELSE THAT WOULD CARRY ON THAT VISION. MOSTLY IN RENOVATIONS. STARTING UP RETREATS AGAIN THIS WEEKEND. IT IS A LOSS TO A LOT OF PEOPLE BEYOND JUST OUR FAMILY. >> I WANT TO ASK YOU WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS NOW IN TERMS OF THE RETREAT CENTER. WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE TO THOSE IN YOUR COMMUNITY THAT HAVE ALSO LOST SO MUCH IN THIS FIRE. >> I THINK THAT THE WHOLE THAT IT WOULD BE A LEGACY THAT WE CONTINUE. THERE WOULD BE MORE RETREATS. WITH THE NEW OWNER, WE DON'T KNOW YET. WE WILL SEE ABOUT REBUILDING. THE COMMUNITY IS DEVASTATED. MY HEART GOES OUT TO ALL OF THE NEIGHBORS THAT WE HAVE. SO MANY PEOPLE LOST HOMES. AT LEAST 10 OF OUR VERY CLOSE FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS HAVE COMPLETELY LOST THEIR HOMES. IT IS HARD TO HAVE THE RIGHT WORDS. THE MEMORIES, THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE THAT MY MOTHER CREATED, I DO NOT THINK, I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THAT. JUST TO SAY TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN TOUCHED BY IT, THANK YOU. THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE GIVEN TO IT. IT WOULD NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT THIS EXTENSIVE COMMUNITY THAT POURED EVERYTHING INTO IT. WE HAVE EACH OTHER BUT PEOPLE WILL JUST BE DISPERSED. THAT IS THE HARD REALITY OF THE AFTERMATH OF THESE THINGS. >> I HOPE YOU CAN KEEP YOUR FAITH IS YOU
