A&M-Commerce Football Post Game Interview: San Diego State

yeah I mean I first half I thought we played well um we shut ourselves in the foot a little bit there and you know could have a couple more scores actually so um little disappointed in that um you know had some changes at halftime we thought we had a good game plan and then we had a couple turnovers snowball a little bit and just got out of hand towards the end so um you I saw some good things though we're we're heading the right direction awesome can you talk to me about your any Stand Out moments on offense um I thought we ran the ball pretty good you know we we got we were hoping to stay with the run and then you know when you get three scores down you start having to pass a little bit more and U you know they they got after us with their pass R Us and started Bitz us a little bit so um I was pleased with the Run amazing same question on defense anything that stood out I mean we get after them I mean we there's no question we're we're that's our style of Defense we're going to get after the quarterback and make them you know man cover in the back and I thought again we did well in the in the first half and then again snowball a little bit had some penalties go you know against us and it just they just got out of hand again any thoughts yeah I'm disappointed I mean there's no doubt um I thought it was a winnable game especially you know going into halftime uh I thought our energy was all on our side and uh again that momentum shifted on the fumble snap in the end zone and botched and they they scored touchdown and just kind of got coach both quarterbacks LED at least one touchdown drive what' you see him out of today um you know irod early on was I mean we were doing some really good things it was just seems to be one different person um you know would would kill a drive um so that's all fixable I'm not necessarily worried about that um Ron came in took us right down the field and scored um did a lot of great things no things went bad during that drive I mean that's that's that you know that could have happened in those other drives with erod too went with D Rod again second half you know um again with the fumbled snap that kind of got you know got us going the wrong direction we had some you know delay of games coming out that just can't happen you know starting drives uh we've got to get better at that on the offensive staff side as far as getting the play getting out so I'll take a flame on that but uh again I thought both of them did some really good things um you know we're going to be just fine and then defensively last year against ODU held them to zero points today three points in the first half just what does it say about the team to not get over them in such a big environment yeah we really lost some guys uh you know not overall that got hurt but we lost some IV guys in the second half uh you know three of our starting defensive players didn't play uh first couple drives so that hurt us and and they they got rolling and uh once we got behind we just could catch back up great thanks coach
