hello you to it's so lovely to talk to you again I love talking about season one and I am so stoked to talk about season two good to see you this show just gets Messier and Messier and that's my favorite thing but I also just have to say Jackson stevenh every time he pops on my screen I just want to punch him in the face and I think that's such a testament to your ability now's your chance now's your chance right can I join the slap shots so much better um he just added to my list of characters I love to hate like my number one is Marne from girls I don't know if you ever watched girls but that character um do you guys have a character that you hate like viscerally in G like in film and television that's a great question that is a really good question I don't I I love I love villains I love bad bad love a villain honestly Stephen yeah I yeah he's so honestly he like yeah Stephen yeah he's slappable guy he really is really is I love you're like I love that you even accept that about him you're like it's just perfectly punchable [Laughter] this season I think it's so interesting that we we are keeping you guys apart for a little while while you guys are having this kind of tumultuous War uh so talk to me Grace a little bit about Lucy's trajectory like she gets a new boyfriend she's dealing with this like our non spoiler way yeah yeah she does go through a lot I think she she's going into the the new school year really really convincing herself that she's okay and that she's over it and slowly uh actually not slowly very quickly realizes that she's not and that this year is going to be uh they're going to be at War and I think the new relationship um is really interesting is a really interesting way to show how past toxic relationships can really follow you um through different people if you don't look at yourself and and know what you need and I I think this is a really good example about of projecting Trauma from past relationships onto somebody new um and not trusting and not accepting who the person is in front of you and I think it it really shows that well absolutely and Jackson what about you talk to me a little about Stephen oh gosh what do you want to know I mean whatever you you know this is so hard I would have a list of non-spoiler stuff we can't talk about I know oh I know um he's he's he's trying to make amends for anything subconsciously uh he did last year and he's um just constantly moving just like he always is trying to trying to Puppeteer this whole this whole thing um just trying to be punchable that's the new thing he's just punchable talk to me because I brought up the slap shots talk about filming that scene like did you guys like actually tap each other or was it like he tried there tried two of us tried I'll let them say who I want to I was like yeah hit me yeah but I didn't we didn't do and then I was I was like hit me to to um to Sonia and and she was like okay and then and then uh and then two actors did it before we even had the chance they just actually slapped the [ __ ] out of each other and then the and then everyone was like uh gu's cut um can't we can't be doing that like so we so we had to we had to fake the rest of it but it was so that was it was it was so technical filming that and it's crazy just watching it and it's not very long but that was what two days of filming the slap shots there's like three yeah like stuck in that in Evans um condo for for a while and we shot that episode like all together pretty much consecutively yeah two weeks and it was it was crazy was a lot of fun it's my favorite episode of the season because it's like the pin ultimate where it all like kind of comes together yeah and it's it's the fir it's like the only time you see them all together again kind of in the same room and dealing with all the the previous Dynamics and so tense and yeah it's really really good um Grace talk me a little about working with Thomas dhy bringing him in this season it was great it was it was um like I said I loved that Dynamic and I thought it was such a smart way to show the effects it had on Lucy um so it was really fun getting to do that and also like I I'm not sure how I it makes me think of how genuine that actually was like is Lucy does she really have a connection with this guy or is it kind of fully distraction and I I believe that she really really wants to like him and is trying to but I think it's more of a um of a distraction from Steven but also still not wanting to get hurt by somebody else so it's it's like very complicated well thank you guys so much for your time today thank can't wait for people to watch season two of tell me lies it's gonna be amazing thank you
