him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history good for him back in April Stefon Diggs traded to Houston and will play 2024 on a one-year deal providing another weapon for last year's offensive Rookie of the Year CJ strad should be explosive and in Dallas CI lamb has been absent from the cowboy boys voluntary offseason workouts as he seeks a new contract and Adam schfer reports he will not attend mandatory mini camp that opens up today either lamb is entering the final year of his rookie deal Jefferson is getting 110 million guaranteed in this new deal 26 million more than the next closest wide out in AJ Brown interestingly too all four of these contracts you see here have been signed this off seon setting the market Bo bringing it Super Bowl champ Booger McFarland B great to have you with us and I'm going to come to you here first do you think extending CD lamb booger should be a top priority for Dallas well first of all good morning Molly good morning gentlemen uh no I don't I don't think it should be the top priority I I think the Cowboys have to understand uh what their pecking order uh is going to be and I think when you have three Premier players at their position and Dak Prescott and cidi lamb and Michael Parsons who all want new deals the Cowboys can't pay them all top of the market because dak's going to want 60 million Michael Parsons is going to want Nick Bosa money which is 35 and CD lamb is going to want Justin Jefferson money that's 35 so that's 70 plus 60 that's 130 million right now the salary cap is only about $225 $230 million or whatever so if you're the Cowboys you got to prioritize who you want and it's always going to start with the quarterback that's number one I think Dak Prescott has earned the right to get a new deal that put him at or near the top of the market now who do you prioritize when it comes to cidi lamb or Michael Parsons both are really really good players guys we're splitting hairs right now but if it's me I'm going to put Michael Parsons above CD lamb I think it's been proven a couple times in this league that if your quarterback is good enough you can win without the premier wide receiver I think Kansas City proven that uh last the last couple years but if you're Dallas and you have one of the generational talents on the defensive side of the football in my Michael Parson you got to take care of that guy I don't think they can win without Michael Parson I think there's a world that exists where if they have to choose between Parson and CD lamb they can win without CD lamb so if it were me gentlemen this is really really easy Dak Prescott is priority number one Michael Parson is priority number two and CD lamb although he is a really really good player probably a top 10 receiver on this team the way it's currently constructed he will be number three for me man I don't watch Dak Prescott you so you mean to tell tell me I'm CD lamb and Michael Parson and I don't watch Dak much as Justin Jefferson you might deserve a little less might deserve upwards of 130 million but you ain't getting what Justin Jefferson's getting that 110 million guaranteed that's going to be a little bit less too so we gonna get that out the way all right and Micah Parsons I'm definitely be not just because of his play but because that brother is box office he's the kind of cat that you walk through the turn styles to see he's got that kind of it Factor attached to him and he personifies what Jerry Jones proclaims he wants the Dallas Cowboys to be all all about it's one thing where
