as commentator of his own gig recapping what it was like to be on stage at the center of the nworth universe and first up we had to ask was he nervous before the gigs I'm not going to sit here and go you weren't nervous and that but I was but just not like oh God I'm not to do it I know for fact I'm capable of doing it I was just sitting there thinking right I just hope the weather's good I hope my voice is all right and and that's that's basically it them two things man it's like and if them two things are all right then we're in for a good time you know what I mean I am here you are he you are me and we are all together well we went down the day before checked it all out made sure it was uh up to the standards that I require and uh I look around so it was empty but um was a good vibe but approaching on the day it was me and Debbie I mean M flew on a helicopter uh yeah it was chilled man very um The Calm before the storm as they say but uh no it was chill just want to get on you know what I mean and obviously flew over it seen everyone there's a few people sort of giving it go on you but you know that's how I like to be treated we had to put it to him was doing a gig that big hard work it's not as hard as people think you know what I mean the main thing is getting the people that buy your tickets doing a gig I goals in the rain in Manchester you know what I mean at 8:00 in the morning that's hard you know what I mean doing a geek to all the people that think you're half decent is a piece of and here he is on the specialness of returning to nworth after all those years yeah nworth is a special place and obviously I played there before with Oasis well obviously that was 25 26 years ago and God knows how old I was probably I was 25 then something like that so and you head in a different place coming back this time I don't know it felt yeah you know without this in the first time the first time was obviously amazing and but um now the second time my head was in a different place and it I took it in a bit more so you know they were equally as special as each other but um I was definitely more in the moment this time [Music] what was it like playing slideway in front of 70,000 people yeah it was amazing man I mean having all them people on stage is pretty was quite a lot of people on stage but I loved it he sound it beautiful and that song needed it and I don't think we've ever really as aasis I don't think we ever captured it and I think this is the best version that's out there so I'm pleased with that now we know John Squire was on stage with him at nworth but what does he bring to the party John's guitar playing is as far as I'm concerned the best since Jimmy Hendrick and he's a cool Catman and he's not giddy so in them kind of um when you play like 880,000 people it's uh it's hard to not like you know run around with your trousers down you know what I mean so when he comes on stage you have to sort of keep you keep you cool man so it's good to be around him cuz uh he keeps the cool gauge going so how would Liam sum up the newith experience for the fans well obviously like there was people there that weren't at the first newith so they experienced a new thing regardless whether it was you know it wasn't Oasis but you know I'm a singer and the songs were there and uh obviously there was people there that were at the Oasis one with their kids but for me it was you know it was great to see different Generations coming together for the music and me you know what I mean it's like you know the music's important but it's not as important as me so I'm made up what's it like to be on stage in front of that many people obviously you look out you see the carow going but you can't put it in words you know what I mean there's no you know I mean you can sit here and go over the same old word out biblical resist was great and all that like nothing no words on this planet Earth or in this Cosmos can describe that you can't they a they ain't been R you know I mean you can say it and all that you can say it a million times and all that just stupid is it you know what I mean singing something like ridiculous is it you know what I mean the night before I was Sting me I was watching extenders or some off watch him come down with me you know what I mean and the next night pay like 8 you know what I mean it's it's ridiculous I say so what's it like to be on stage how does he direct the show as he goes through the set list what type of fans are his favorite right this next one's been Sten is massive yeah I like to focus on the Mad ones the ones that are losing their you know what I mean the ones that are jumping about with you know as much as people don't like flares and stuff and you know what I mean I'm into that kind of vibe you know what I mean people just losing the and that but you know obviously if you start Ching them about it's not cool than that but and then uh maybe the ones that are just sort of like staring at you down the front like intensely I like them as [Music] well this is going to be the last one I want to dedicate it to me M's here the one and only Margaret [Applause] gallago Peggy in the area didn't have a favorite they were all amazing obviously Champagne Supernova with Squire's always a moment you know what I mean he's like you know he's on another level and it was great to have him back there again and that um well all the AAS songs obviously water glass sounded great you know what I mean once was great off new off the solo stuff more power but no it was all amazing man I thought I loved it but yeah Champion super NOA I guess Champion super NOA
