hello welcome back today we've got another £250 worth of 50ps we're hunting through looking for some commemoratives ones with more than face value but ideally new ones for the book and I'll never get tired of opening this first page with my Q Gardens sat proudly on there we don't need a q Gardens although I would I would be very grateful for another q Gardens if the coin gods are listening anyway what we do need we need Olympics goldall rowing and Triathlon and then this book is complete we've got all the ones up to and including the coron 50p um my cheat sheets there we'll keep those for later in the video but if we can get any of those three in today's video um that would be very very nice let's get into these bags and see what we [Music] find bag number one we'll open in real time and I'll show you what it is we're looking for so that's bratan the definitive standard non-comparative design used on 50ps all the way up to and including 2008 and 2008 is the low minted circulating year we want to find uh it was replaced with the shield of the Royal Arms uh from 2008 until 2022 key dates on these are 2009 10 11 16 18 and 2021 for the non-circulating years and 2017 for the low minted circulating year but realistically we want some exciting commemorative coins the NC ones are always nice to find or the key dates we tend to pick up one or two in a hunt butth what we're really after are those missing cativ well not the greatest greatest of starts case of the dides what we'll do now let just speed up until we find something [Music] [Music] [Music] oh there we go our first one is NHS not one that we see all that often it's a smidge over face Valley so a good start let's hope that we find many many more exciting ones [Music] we got Scouts there Scouts is a fairly common coin but this is where we need the cheat sheets these 10 designs were restruck in 2019 for collector sets and not into circulation you can see Scouts just there if you find any of these 10 coins check the date on the obverse the head side of the coin that's how you can tell the easiest way of telling if it's a restrike so you can see this is dated 2007 not 2019 which means it's not a restrike all the restrikes are report whoops dated 2019 I've not found one before but I know other people that have and it would make for a very very exciting [Music] find oh there's Paddington Paddington at the tower one of the four Paddington you can find out in circulation all four of them fairly common coins [Music] [Music] there there's a Battle of Hastings there again it's a smidge over face value not enormously so but could be a restrike this one is not dated 2019 though so it is not a restrike I have to keep on looking maybe one of those will turn up eventually oh we got the memorial 50p struck following the death of Queen Elizabeth II first coin in circulation with King Charles II's portrait which is quite exciting but a very common coin [Music] oh that's something Commonwealth Games again fairly common coin it does add a bit of variety to that we're not finding an awful lot today so any finds of course are welcome [Music] there we go we've also got coming up here Benjamin Britain very nice [Music] [Music] [Music] remember there Pride love stuff oh hang about see the date on that I don't know I'm not looking I can't see if it's in Focus 2011 it's a little bit scratched which is going to be a shame but could be one of the three gold ball rowing Triathlon goldall there we go does that mean we're now down to two coins left unbelievable stuff well that is superb even though it's a little bit scratched to the obverse a new one for the book is very very [Music] nice there is the King memorial 50b and there we go peace prosperity and pepperonis make of the breakfast 50p check the date day 31st of January 2020 that is the correct date uh they're allegedly some out there with alternative dates which would be very cool to [Music] find no app 2017's P rabbit it's our first 2017 Bex Potter bizly all the 2017 sorry all the 2017 be spts are very very common there we go another one [Music] [Music] there oh no way two of the Olympic ones both par Olympic ones actually uh this is obviously botcha very nice well there we go any anytime you find two of them that's a very good hunt uh Victoria Cross heroic act will it be a r strike probably not because it looks quite dirty nope sadly not we'll keep looking for one of those oh there's divisable Britain as well another very carbon coin but again adding a bit more variety we're getting a few more finds there later on this hunt hopefully that'll continue we've still got a fair few bags to go [Music] oh there we go 2018s tayor of Gloucester very nice ending the 2018 Bex bot is a nice finds they are fairly low [Music] minted there's another Paddington this time at St Paul's Cathedral and there's another Memorial 50p of course with the King on the obverse and there's Tom kitten all crazy eyes himself no Benjamin bunny though his friend that be normally find at least one of each hunt and this is the last bag actually I was going into autopilot mode there but I've caught myself just before we started right some good finds today it's a it's a very good hunt anytime you find two of those 2011 Olympic coins very very cool right as usual you'll find links in the description of this video across to my book uh goldall just there top left we're two coins off of finishing Olympic rowing Olympic triathlon Triathlon the trickier one to get so be nice to take that one off before rowing but uh we shall wait and see in terms of our star finds uh I think I'm going go for again gold bu is a new one for the book wasn't it it's part of the Olympic set um it's a very nice coin with the NHS again we don't
