I know these games aren't supposed to mean anything and I also said that uh this bucket wouldn't go on my head again this year Well I felt like it was needed tonight Jay's blow a uh six-run lead and lose 109 to the uh Philadelphia Phillies but more importantly Kyle schwarber who was an absolute mutant three bombs was five for six drove in six runs scored four runs just a monster what else can you say this was just painful like when you went up 6-1 early on let's be honest you didn't feel comfortable because you know what that offense can do Kyle schmer homers on the first what was the first B the ball game make it one- nothing fills that's all they score they don't score anymore even though you know Trey Turner doubles the next batter and you're like oh boy here we go but that's all they score bottom of the first inning George Springer singles varo drives on to center it's two run shot you got the lead vlat singles to Left Field Spencer horz then doubles down the left field line vlat up to third well wagneron RBI ground out scoring vlat it's you got the lead it's um it's now 3-1 Blue Jays at this point and Alejandro Kirk singles to center field in comes Horowitz and you continue to lead Barger two-run shot off the top of the wall and out scoring Kirky and the J's lead it six to one we're feeling pretty good however Chris pass and uh allows Nick casianos to hit into a fielder's Choice Kyle Scher comes in to score because was that when vlat fell ass over tit no that wasn't that one that was later on the ball game ah who cares there was just I think it was that as Barger eror I don't know and Bryson St it's an RBI double and then it's 63 and you're like okay well not good top of the fourth inning kle scharber goes deep for the second time today and it is now 6'4 but then bottom half of the sixth inning vlat comes up hits a two-run shot we're feeling pretty confidence up 84 actually might see my math I we had a six-run lead early on we we did not my math is always horrific anyways V goes deep great stuff you're up84 feeling pretty confident about things top of the seventh In For the Love of God the wheels fall off the bolt pen I mean what else is new right what do you expect with one of the worst bolt pens in baseball to go up against one of the best offenses in baseball yeah it's not going to go great right they bring in Zack pop he hits Nick costos and gives up a double to Bryson St just like that they're second and third nobody out now he gets J real Muto to strike out they bring in Eric Swanson who proceeds to walk Brandon uh Brandon Marsh to load the bases then walks at Mundo Sosa to walk in a run and Cody Clemens hits a ground ball great play By Ernie Clement to dive at third base to get Brandon Marsh at third to get the second out they bring in henis Cabrera and and henness you know gets the ground ball vlat can't make the play Then he falls ass over tit right and uh he can't make the play which you probably should have made the play and uh they counted as a single there was no error on the play and it's Muno Sosa comes in to score and just like that's an 87 freaking ball game and it's right there now the wheels have completely fallen off the bullpen continues to blow and and wow this does not feel comfortable right and then top of the ninth inning Chad green last time he T saw saw Chad green he gave up a big time shot to um who was it Royce Lewis in Minnesota and he gives up a single to edmundo Sosa a double to Cody Clemens and just like that you're at the top of the lineup with the guys at second and third nobody out in the tying run 90 feet away yeah this is not going to go well Kyle SCH puts up a really good fight gets a meatball at 97 and crushing into the seeds for a three-run shot lovely and now you're down 108 Le jenez shout out to him hits a home run off of Matt Strom in the ninth inning to make it 109 but that's or and that's all she wrote wow I mean what the Phillies scored uh was it 10 runs they had 18 hits they squandered so many other opportunities they could have scored a lot more runs in this ball game Jays had nine runs on 16 hits It's a fine offensive day for the Jays but the Bullpen is just pretty pathetic and Chris Basset was just in and around danger all all afternoon long but he gave you a chance right five in a third three four runs you know it's not great but he did a job he he he left with the lead and the bullpen as per usual coughs it up all right let's go to the pitching staff first Chris Bass like we mentioned five in a third 10 hits four runs three of which were earned seven strikeouts and you walked two you cannot give a team like that extra opportunities right Barger makes an error at third base coming across and uh yeah you give this team extra opportunities and they'll find a way to kill you they will Bron little went twoth thirds in in lot a hit but got a strike out nothing more and Zack pop went a third of an inning hit a guy gave up a hit two runs were earned got a strike out and that's all she wrote and Eric Swanson for the love of God faced was it four guys no three guys ah who cares uh he went a third of an inning walked two and he got give up a run yeah it's not great henis scar went any in a third allowed two hits believe neither one one didn't leave the infield what happened to the other one I can't remember regardless of that he was good got you know he walked a couple guys but they were they were in fine situations I was okay with the walks when he did when he did walk them and he got the outs when he needed to so he did a job and obviously Chad Green in back-to-back outing is not being any good two thirs an inning three hits three runs all of which were earned struck out two but he allowed you had a three-run shot to to give up the lead Ryan Burr whatever give up a hit in his third of an inning That's All She Wrote there it was pretty pathetic uh offensively let's talk about it because let's be honest at this point of the season for this blue jays team you got to find positives George Springer three for four with a couple runs scored in the walks got on base four times so good job for Georgie dton VAR one for five but who cares it was a two-run shot so good for Dalton that's home run was it number 18 now on for Dalton yeah home run number 18 for Dalton VAR now on the season Vladimir Guerrero Jr had an incredible day and another reason why this team needs to sign him to keep this this organization relevant if you want to be competitive next year he's got to have a contract I mean obviously he has went into next year regardless blah blah blah but you want him long he's 25 freaking years old like what are we doing here four for five two runs scored two RBI a home run he had two singles a double and a home run he's hitting 328 with a 401 on base and went into play today with a 951 Ops and you already know that's going to Skyrocket over 960 after play today he's going to be around 30 home runs he's going to be around 40 doubles he's going to be around 100 100 when it comes to RBI and runs scored he's going to strike out probably less than 100 times he's going to walk probably 60 time I mean he what else do you need to say it's incredible Spencer hor was one for five scored a run had a double uh will Wagner had a one for five RBI kir went two for five with the Run scored in RBI hadison Barger before he left the game with unfortunate was a knee issue he left the game with a knee issue he went one for three with a run scored obviously the two-run shot that he hit so good on Barger for that one hopefully he's okay Leo Menace came in for one at bat and went deep so you like to see that and Ernie Clement two for five and Joe Le perfo he had that little hot streak it's now gone South pretty quick over for three strikeouts in the nine hole today uh but yeah it's a good offense it's a great team over there you got to move on tomorrow just get this season over with right Cesar
