the Miss baseball team wins again now this was a pretty close game you know it was tied three to three they're in the top of the night but then miss got two runs in the top of the night they get the win five to3 on the road today andus was playing at Louisiana Monroe they're in Monroe Louisiana but miss gets to win five to3 and improves at 13 and five on the season so just kind of a short recap uh just kind of thoughts right quick of today's game and and look I'm going to be honest with you now this game it started pretty early started at 4:00 and I was still working only caught the last two innings of the game basically um so just kind of the stuff I was seeing on social media and just the fans reacting to the game just stuff like that I did see madit uh was a starting picture for us and I saw they got a couple runs pretty early in this ball game and I saw Miss didn't really have the best start pitching or um hitting as well too I saw Miss had a bunch of guys SW on base I mean you look at you know our total hits we had I think it was like 10 hits might have been 12 something like that it's it's in the area somewhere but I mean old men was getting tons of hits one of our biggest problems this year is just leaving guys on base I mean there have been several times this year old have you know one or two guys on base and well you can't get the guys to come home there have been times this year ens had the bases wed a couple times and we just cannot find a way to get these guys home but U but yeah Miss kind of had a slow start not the best start but anyway Miss got things going there in the I think it was around the fourth might have been the fifth inning or so andus started getting some runs and then there in the top of the N hus got two runs to get to win uh but yeah the guys do apologize uh didn't catch the game and wish I could kind of give you guys more feedback but that's basically just kind of all I saw and just a short recap uh but anyway this weekend uh you know this is when conference play do start so of course man you know in the SEC so now the rest of the season on the weekends om Miss will be playing other teams in the SEC and you know in the SEC man you know there is a bunch of very good teams of course every year I mean you know there there have been years before there have been 10 plus teams in the top 25 and that just kind of shows you just how good the SEC is even the teams at the bottom of the conference you know they may not have a good record but they're still a very good team they just just some teams in the past have just kind of had bad luck or they've had a a bunch of close games they just couldn't finish at the end but you know right now I think there is I think there's nine teams from the SEC in the top 25 it may be 10 but I'm kind of thinking nine but nine of the 14 teams from the SEC in the top 25 that's pretty impressive to be honest with you but om Miss does have one of those top 25 teams come to town this weekend and that is the number 20 the number 20th team of the country South Carolina here on opening weekend for conference play and I will say this for South Carolina now as far as their offense I would say their offense is kind of about the same as us I mean yeah they have a couple very good hitters they do have you know they have some guys bad in 350 and above they have a couple of those couple of them right above 300 they do have a couple guys you know kind of batting pretty wo couple guys you know right there around 200 or just above but as far as like the team batting average they're just right above us not too much of a difference but I will say this this is a sack kind a team that is known for its pitching uh pitching are strength uh I will say they're not the best pitching team in the SEC in my opinion that's probably to be Arkansas I don't know if y'all watched any of Arkansas this year maybe y'all have heard about it on social media somewhere but Arkansas's uh starting three on the weekend also their Bullpen it's a nasty pitching rotation but South Carana they're one of the better pitching teams in conference play for sure and you guys will see it this weekend now there will be some sometimes this weekend ens will probably struggled behind the plate and there will be some fans of course some fans just kind of getting mad because we're not getting as many hits what we're kind of hoping for uh but I mean this C you know this Carolina team man they got some guys that can throw some heat uh very good Siders curves good fast balls uh they're I mean they're a team they're they're deep they have several options and they're a team you know they still been trying a couple guys out here and there I think they kind of have their weekend rotation kind of figured out for the most part I think uh but they're a team that's that's known for its pitching and hopefully Miss don't have any problems with that this weekend but uh we will see but anyway yeah s want to come to town this weekend Friday through Sunday series and you know this is going to be our toughest task yet you know to me there's no doubt about it I mean if you watch your tape watch their highlights you look at you know look at their stats it's kind of obvious you know this is the best team that Miss has faced all year and I am very curious to see how Miss does now in conference play you know of course 's kind of had a slow start the season but now the past couple weeks om Miss has improved and put a lot better but you also have to say that you know hey you know these opponents we've played the last couple weeks or teams you know I mean yeah some of these teams will make the NCA you know tournament you know here in the summer but most of these teams are just teams are kind of bad or some of them are you know okay decent teams but this is my point the competition is about to get harder here pretty soon and in the coming weeks we're about to see what this Miss team is all about so but anyway if Miss can win the series this weekend that will be a huge accomplishment for sure you know hopefully Miss can get the sweep that'll be my dream but even if Miss wins two or three I would still be very
