[Music] hey everybody this is Joel from mav.com hey I got a l voice today cuz it's early in the morning at 6:45 a.m. people are still sleeping but I don't know just thought I would do the intro uh today from the balcony on my bedroom having my morning coffee out here look at that hey is there any better way to start the day anyway it's been up since uh around 5:45 today I got up made some coffee and now just kind of enjoying this beautiful morning had uh rain all night I love it when it rains all night cuz you kind of wake up in the morning it's the air is Super Fresh you know some of you know uh I was on vacation for 3 weeks I got back last week I guess Sunday it was um had a great time in Canada but the name of this video is the top five reasons I can not and will never move back to Canada so um anyways before we get into that uh I'm going to do a little bit of horse ride so we'll do the top five reasons while I'm riding my horse and as some of you may have known from the one of the last videos I did um Nester uh my horse had passed on um so now uh today I'm going to be riding Felix and give you a little history on that as well all right you ready to go bominos yeah all right so uh just here with Felix and Felix and I are just getting to know each other um this is my third third ride on him but uh I am making the purchase so Felix is officially part of the galski clan and uh here we are kind of on the back roads of bueras and this is uh Adelaide pretty proud of her she's going to be starting doing some pretty cool uh horse tours and is going to be off the Beaten Track just like this so you kind of get to see you know the real parts of boeras where all the actual real people live um not just the tourists and uh yeah there's some kind of cool hidden gems in and around uh this area so going back to the five reasons I can never move back to Canada I think the number one reason is you know really it's the cost of living uh living here in Mexico allows us to live at anywhere from 2/3 to a half off even if I just go to that little store there things just so much cheaper than in Canada we just like little stuff you know um but that's the big one I really really did have some sticker shock when we were in Canada uh just the prices you know Jillian and I went in had a pizza and two beers it was $53.70 and that was just ridiculous but that's just exactly how it is so that's the number one reason cost of living anyway we're just rolling through the back streets of bueras here and you know just like a little Nook a little piece of property that just happens to be between two houses and just kind of came in here to just enjoy this magical view like again I'm literally a thousand plus meters from my house and it's just so darn easy really all right the number two reason I could never move back to Canada well you know it comes to the freedom being able to like literally walk up my door jump on my horse and ride through the town that's just the type of Freedom you could never have in Canada and after being away for 11 years I just don't think I could ever go back to not having the type of freedom I have in Mexico well everybody uh number three reason I can never move back can it is the weather well the summers are beautiful for the most part I can't I can't take winter anymore and I mean yeah the summers in Mexico can be hot but it's not hot as in temperature hot we get here in the bay high 34° C but it's see humidity we get we can get up to 100% uh humidity um it is a little humid today we had some rain last night so we get a little bit more humidity but with the rain comes Fresco it's a little more fresh um but I I could never move back to Canada just for the weather alone and we're just so lucky to have the kind of weather that we have here in Mexico trick with the Trot is moving your body with the horse he's got actually nice Trot um and these are all the things add's going to teach you when you come on her rides is some basic horsemanship you're going to learn how to saddle the horse you're going to learn how to tie some basic knots like the bank rubber knot I'll do a video on the bank rob or knot um for those who've got maybe a little more skill level will'll get you into some loping so lots of different options and uh yeah we're going to see where this little tour business Affairs goes I'm just taking a little walk past rooses veres I'll put a link in the description of a couple videos I've done with gu Lupe the owner beautiful property man and she built this years ago way ahead of its time uh very inspirational and uh amazing lady has done some very amazing things and we'll have to do another tour in there uh again one time soon number four reason I can never move back to Canada is just I'm an entrepreneur and I just find doing businesses here in Mexico coming up with ideas it's just so easy it's so much more easier than in Canada um especially on the construction side yeah you know there's pluses and minuses to everything we've definitely had our set of challenges here uh with government with morida that's the bribes but at the end of the day we had to bribe politicians back in Canada he just did it through fundraisers um and I'll just leave it at that uh but yeah here in Mexico just so much easier to start a business so much easier to get that business going so much easier to overcome hurdles if you know the right people now if you don't know the right people or you don't if you try to do things sometimes the right way uh you'll never get it done um so you got to figure out how to kind of dance uh so to speak uh to get the done that you need to do and then in the end it all kind of turns out sometimes it takes a while like I had one project literally took us three years um to get the condo PL uh finalized and a lot of pain and suffer ing but eventually we got it done and you know that's also one of the challenges of living here if I used to look at a negative doing business is just for with people who come from Canada and the states especially um kind of come here with their preconceived notions of how things should be based on how it is back in their country and it just doesn't work that way um so they they lose their mind they lose their and it just goes downhill for them you got to if you're moving to Mexico you buy something in Mexico you got to embrace it and sometimes things don't go your way uh but you got to kind of just trust in the people that are here trust in the system this is beautiful here this uh van looks like it's had better days hey Felix well everybody uh welcome back to Casta De La Familia galski that was a great ride with Felix had a nice time I really enjoy getting out in the morning and you know just checking out these areas in burias it's it's super cool and these are all kind of neighborhoods I've never ridden my bike through or ridden the horse through so it was kind of cool to do that little bit of explor exploration so that leads me to the number five reason okay why I could never move back to Canada and I guess I could never afford to live in a home like this in a location like this where I could be looking out uh from my my home uh to the ocean you know literally right there uh get these beautiful sunsets and you know it's kind of like a dream come true uh not without a lot of Blood Sweat and Tears and a lot of work has gone into making this a reality over the last 11 years and I'll uh I'll be sure to share that Journey with you guys on how we actually moved to Mexico created a business um created income income streams and slowly worked our way up to be able to own this beautiful home all right guys all right everybody again thanks for joining us for another episode here in bueras if
