Athletes supporting other athletes with Cam Miller and Cole Payton

things we love to see are athletes of other teams supporting other athletes here at NDSU so I have two buys and quarterbacks with me with me today cam Miller I'll start with you off Seasons underway how are things going so far for NDSU football things are going great you know we had two or 3 weeks off to go home and see our families but now we're back at we're back at it and guys are working really hard let's take a look at these shirts that they're wearing the green and gold Collective shirts did you ever think nil would play a huge part in your athletic career when I committed here no but as the last two years have developed um I think it's a need for each and every program to have something in place where athletes are compensated for their name image and likeness um so I think if you don't have it you're going to fall behind so I think we need to adapt into believing that this is something that is a need not just a want as an athlete tell us a little bit about the benefits of the green and gold Collective that you have faced I think it's another way to network with other people and get involved in the community and it's also another way to keep players on the roster um you know some of your favorite players as well um I just think it's just a great way to give back and um and I know athletes put in a lot of hours Cole and I put in a ton of work outside of football um and I just think it would be very beneficial to get back to the community into into the football program before I switch over to Cole you mentioned how some of the favorite athletes are coming back how huge was that for you guys to get Cole withy gra able guys like that to come back it's been huge um you know I couldn't really relax over the last two three weeks over break I was just I was holding tight to my chair hoping that nobody would pop up on Twitter and uh and see them hit the portal so it was great to you know stay in contact with those guys and just make sure that we kept the group together and and that's exactly what we did thankk you Kim enjoy the rest of this game I'll go over to Cle the football team has been so vocal about getting people out here to the basketball games you're here Thursday you're here today why is that well part of it has to do with the green and the gold colle Collective um we've got certain tasks to to receive the money um Jay and Kurt are giv us and so big shout out to them uh for getting this whole thing started um but part of those tasks is just going out in the community more going to different sports games cuz I know a lot of basketball players and soccer players baseball players they come to our football games so we got we got to reciprocate that these have been two great games we talked with Cam winter workouts have already started Tim POC new head coach tell us your thoughts on him and how it's been working playing for him yeah the change has been smooth so far coach paek he's fiery and um that's what we need we like him and so we're excited to to have him on board all right guys thank you so much for your time enjoy the rest of the game thank you it's a four-point game when we come back we cap first half stats and highlights
