today the Missouri supreme court hearing oral arguments in if Amendment Three should be on the November 5th ballot if passed the amendment would provide constitutional protection for abortion in Missouri yesterday Missouri Secretary of State J Ashcraft desertified the amendment from November's ballot the desertification set up a quick turnaround for the state supreme court as the deadline to place a ballot uh measure on the ballot was coming up just hours ago the court returning their ruling saying the amendment shall be placed on the ballot Democratic Senate candidate Lucas coun spoke on the Court's ruling like I believe missourians are smart enough to make our own decisions about our own lives about how we build and protect our families and everything that has to do with that the people of Missouri have a right to make their own decisions and if they want to put this in the ballot and they want to change their constitution it's their right to do that right that's our right to change our constitution because it's ours the ballots needed to be certified by 5: p.m. tonight for absentee voting
