Dallas. Police are looking for the suspect who shot three people at an apartment building in downtown Dallas at noon. Today it happened near the intersection of Commerce Street in South Saint Paul and that's where Britney mcrea joins us right now. Britney, what have you learned? Well, Commerce Street is back open after that shooting, injuring three people including a 16 year old. Now earlier when we arrived here this afternoon, residents at the Continental, this apartment building in downtown Dallas were being evacuated. Some were being told to stay in their units and since then, residents have been allowed back inside the building where the shooting happened. But here's how this all unfolded. W FAA sources tell us that this all started with an argument that escalated into a shootout. Residents say they heard over a dozen shots fired and sources tell us that two adults and a 16 year old were shot but all are expected to live. We're told that 16 year old is a student at Conrad High School and was skipping school at the time of the shooting. Now one victim did make it onto the building's elevator which is now closed off as part of the investigation. We spoke with a health care worker who was visiting a patient in this building and she says that as she arrived for work, she saw a man with blood on him running out the building. That's when she went inside to see if she could help anyone else who might have been injured. When I went to the elevators, I saw a lot of blood. So I was trying to trace the blood and see if everything was ok. And if anybody was hurt. And so because we got M and MS and I was waiting, I stayed here and waited until the M and got here. And W FAA sources tell us that they, that right now they are still looking for the suspect involved in the shooting of police have not given any information at this time about that suspect. But again, residents have been allowed back inside the building and this is still an ongoing investigation.
