It goes without saying the Grant Pacers and Intercom Tigers are two of the more entertaining teams in the section. So when they went head to head this afternoon, you just knew it was gonna be box office. Yes, ain't no party like a Pacer party. They got more funk than Parliament and Funkadelic. I'm telling you, it's like a concert for every Grant home game. Also shout out to all those fans who endured the scorching heat even though it was hotter than a crock pot today. That didn't stop hundreds of fans from showing up. Anyway, Coach Harris and the undefeated Intercom Tigers face it off against Carl Reed in the Grant Pacers. We'll pick this one up late in the first quarter. Intercom ball Rick Cole with a short pass to Zadan Maxwell and my man has more bounce to the ounce as he gets in for the touchdown. Hendrick, he would take an early 7 to 0 lead but Grant would clap back ensuing drive for the Pacers. Brandon Lambert takes the handoff and just like people running for air conditioner on this hot day. Lambeau is gonna run this all the way to the house 80 yards for the score and just like that, we're tied at seven. Get down. All right. So the second quarter Grant on the attack, Luke Alexander, this dude throws Dimes. He's gonna hit the big man, Zoe Edwards across the middle and Edwards will not be denied as he gets in for the touchdown. Zoe drinks milk Grant would take a 14 to 7 lead. Now later in the second quarter, Grant threatening again here in the red zone, Alexander scrambling trying to make something happen. He throws it up to the end zone when it falls in the hands of Lono Chateau who says, thank you very much. I'll take that and Lono is gonna run this back over 100 yards to the end zone untouched. And what do you do when you return an interception over 100 yards to the end zone? You lay back and relax. I know he gotta be tired. Get my man some water come tied it up at 14 all but shut this out ensuing kickoff, Kobe Shabazz, he's gonna fill this off to bounce and uh, y'all may wanna grab some hand sanitizer for this because this kickoff return is straight filthy Shabazz looking like a wizard out there. He returns this all the way to the house. Didn't I tell y'all this game was gonna be box office? Well, in the end, Grant was able to hang on to win this 135 to 21 handing intercom, their first loss of the season. Pacers moved to two and one.
