The Rings of Power Season 2 Episode 3 Reaction Review Lord of the Rings

hey guys Nukem here and welcome to season 2 episode 3 I had a day to process of the first two episode and I realized to my thinking is that this show is kind of boring uh I know I said you know I don't always need action but something to change up the pace because it most of the scene so far it's just couple people's talking and all they do is talk in different ways and their thoughts and process which is fine but uh you need something just to change up the pace and you know there's not a lot of action in the first episode and from what I gather from online there's probably not a lot of action in the third episode I don't know I haven't seen it yet but the thing is like House of dragon is a lot of talking and monologue but it's good dialogue it's interesting dialogue and captivation and strategy and planning this is more like emotions how they feel and things like that on a beautiful set but you need better dialogue to fill in all this lack of action so hopefully the action does pick up and uh we get a good mix between a little action a little bit more Pace a little bit more intensity than just pure dialogue in all this show so we're heading to our third hour of eagle fa he's going to take over he's not going to raise it up all right here we go we're crafting the ring right so they are taking the ring the king accepted it so after to reconcile he still doesn't listen to his son oh sauron's gonna all right how Bur [Music] so far after watching the first three episodes it feels like there's no improvement on the series so far and it still feels like the same the first two episodes just um there's a lot of dialogue with few people in the scenes or just bunch of background extra just different places through the Middle Earth um not that too engaging dialogue and some scenes were just unnecessary trying build character and it didn't feel like they're building character uh at all and it doesn't make me feel more attached to in these characters fact I have no attachment to any of the characters on the show so far none of them that makes me want root for them none of them makes me want care for them except saon I feel like Sauron um is the most interesting person the bad guy I don't know if that's what the series is trying to get you joining I don't think that's what tolken would wanted uh to if people rooting for saaron to win oh it's interesting this whole Feud for like three two episodes between Duren and the king and then they finally reconciled is like okay you're right father you've been always right the and then he's like okay good now I'm going to do what you've been doing this whole Engle with a human the W um you know capturing the horses it's just boring trying to build characterized on all of them and just and they killed one main character from season one off screen and I don't know why she was written out I don't know if she had an issue with the showrunners I didn't know if she didn't get paid enough or they just didn't want her in there anymore and they got cut killed her off screen and there is action throughout each episode but it's boring action it's just like one short scene in a small Sound Stage of just a little combat and that's it there's no grand um battle that makes you a spectacular wonders like in the first three Trilogy Where they had so many great battles many battles through the whole movie and this we just got a small Skirmish here where it's just just so it can try to change the pacing a little bit from all the talking on the show and the thing is this show has budget of a billion dollars and what most of that budget I feel like has been done was for background and scenes and sets and granted they are very beautiful very well done it feels like Middle Earth but it's just like they could have used that budget for better writing better dialogue better storytelling and more action and a little bit you can go a little bit less quality on you know the scenery if you tell a good engaging story while people are being entertained with action that outpaces all the costume design the shooting locations in the grand scheme of things right Middle Earth just feels small in this show kind of like how Star Wars all the Sound Stage made Star Wars feel small when the Galaxy and the universe is vast and large we're just confined to a couple characters on a sound stage with close face shots of dialogue blog and I think that's what's really hurting this show is the writing and the lack of pacing and just you know is it's so hard to engage and and build good uh
