hi everyone and now for your marine forecast Thursday August 29th starting out with tonight's weather we've got a uh weather system out there just moving uh east of Dutch Harbor 991 mbars full occluded front around it some warm air out ahead of it that's moving up toward the central Gulf and the Southeast Alaska and then there's also a little bit of a trough out in the Gulf and it's connected to a,0 mbar low that's up in northeastern Alaska uh and uh a bit of a front has already moved across uh into Northwestern Canada and but there's still some westerlies out behind that and then for Friday that system uh moves a little bit further Eastward and as weakening to 995 Mars there might be some Maritime thunderstorms with that Center as it gets over warmer water and cold air aoft moves over the system uh the warm air is approaching the Panhandle now uh with a cold ront extending du South the pressure gradients are increasing across much of the gulf the and then there is a little bit of a high press system in Northwestern Canada but also one in in uh Northeastern Russia as well and so not a lot of pressure gradient up there but uh as you get further north into the Arctic uh then the westerly's ramp up again and there's another series of fronts up in there then on Saturday uh the low moves up further up into the central Gulf it's a slow mover now and it's filling there might be some thunderstorms in the uh Central and uh Eastern Gulf Waters um mostly off Shore uh plenty of rain moving into Southeast Alaska and the winds are shifting to more southernly and then southwesterly and uh a series of troughs are are behind the front that's dissipating and there are a couple of high pressure systems out uh uh in the Bearing Sea and uh some northerlies along the west coast and and still uh some light West relas when you get further offshore for the North Slope so for our marine forecast for Friday for Southeast on the inside Waters 10 to 15 knots Seas up to 3 feet and then in the outside Waters uh uh winds are ramping up in response that low uh ranging from 15 to 25 knots and seas up to about 7 feet and then on Saturday again the winds southeasterly generally on the outside uh 15 to 20 knots but notice that the seas are uh up to a whole 10 ft off of Cape suckling and that's due to a Southwest swell that's uh being sent by that long fetch uh with that weather system that's moving into the Gulf in the meantime on the inside Waters about 15 knots and C 3 feet all out of the southeast then for South Central we've got uh a lot of small craft advisory winds and then some gale force down by Kennedy entrance uh 35 knots Seas up to 8 ft it hook Inlet uh northeasterly is 20 knots Seas up to 5 ft Prince William sound 20 knots SE 3 feet and then small craft 25 knot easterly uh across the uh Central Gulf Waters and seas up to about 6 feet for Saturday uh again small craft advisories especially uh in the Eastern Waters of South Central uh but 15 knots Easter least for Prince Williams Sound sees 3 feet and then you SE some Northerly kicking in to uh not only Cook Inlet but also Kennedy entrance uh 15 to 20 knots uh Seas up to about 6 feet uh when you get down further south of the Kenai Peninsula then for Friday's marine forecast for the Alaska Peninsula and Kodiak Island Waters uh lots of easterly and uh Northerly component of the wind On The Backs side of the low we've got uh gale force 35 knot North easterly uh through shilov Straight Seas up to 10 ft 35 knots around sitac Island Easter Le sees 9 ft uh 30 knots off of Kodiak sees 8 feet and then 20 to 30 knots as you get further south off the uh Alaska Peninsula with a Northerly component kicking in and it Seas about six feet with not a lot of fetch galeforce off of uh Perryville Seas uh uh northeasterly 35 knots Seas 8 feet 9 feet off a cold Bay but only 25 knots as that low gets further away into the Gulf and then for Saturday uh 15 knots off of Kodiak Island water Seas uh up to about 7 feet and uh 15 to 20 knots on the Gulf side uh Seas up to uh 5T uh very short fetch there but then uh with a longer fetch up in the uh uh Bearing Sea Seas up to about 5 ft but only 15 knots of wind and now for the illusion Waters uh winds responding to that low that's moved off into the Gulf uh 30 knots further east that you are uh Seas up to 9 ft on the bearing SE side and 6 feet on the Pacific side and then the winds taper off as you get further to the West about 15 KN Wester Le and seas up to about 6 ft in the Far Western ition otherwise about 20 to 25 knots and then for Saturday uh the winds are really backing off because that low is further out in the Gulf now about 20 knots uh south of an Alaska uh sees up to uh about 3 feet or so with not much fetch but uh uh 10 to 15 knots elsewhere and seas uh at a maximum of about 5T uh and generally have a Westerly component so for our Friday's Marine Force for the West Coast a lot of Northerly component because that low is out in the Gulf now uh winds uh about 15 knots and SE up to about uh 5et off of St Matthew and for the poffs but uh uh still some 25 knot northeasterlies in Bristol Bay and seas up to 4 feet and then for as you get uh on into Saturday uh winds about 15 to 20 knots except for 10 knots around the poffs and SE uh uh about uh 4T or so uh uh down to 2T for Bristol Bay in the Wester Le and not much fish so for our Arctic Coast now uh there's those Wester Le I was talking about earlier uh 20 to 25 knots out of the West uh Seas up to 6 feet alha covic but then now uh down through the bearing straight winds uh uh from 10 up to about 20 knots and maximum sees about five ft and then for uh Saturday what we're looking at again 20 to 25 knots along the uh uh bord SE uh sees up to about 6 feet but then as you get into the Chuck Z SE about 15 knots and sees 4 feet and then down through the bearing street again uh 15 knots and seas up to 4 feet well that's it for your Marine forcast and uh everybody uh do file a float plan and be safe out there thank you
