well Michigan State's football team took down Florida Atlantic yesterday 16 to10 so with no game today many of the players and fans gathered at a local McDonald's in Lancing to show support and help raise money for red shirt Jor defensive back amarian Smith whose mother recently lost her battle with breast cancer the fundraiser was all made possible by John Campbell the owner and operator of the restaurant who is a former Michigan State football player and donated a portion of today's sales back to Smith Aiden Jordan Hall Nick Marsh Zeke the wonderdog and Sparty of course were just a few of the big names that stopped by with the passing of his mother Smith is now in the process of becoming the legal guardian of his five younger siblings even with just an hour into the event the restaurant was packed from wall to wall and its support like that over the last month is what Smith says makes Spartan Nation so special this warm to my heart me and my family is is very bringing a lot of happiness you know a lot of happening be very happy very appreciative you know for everybody that you know helped out and supported showing a lot of love for the whole entire University to come through and stuff it's just a lot of love I ain't never felt this much love in my life so it's like it means real family is really genuine you know like there nothing like nothing Force you know they doing that out of love of their heart you know what I'm saying cuz nobody has to do anything you know what I'm saying and just for them to take us in like you know as family and treat us as their own is just a blessing for real you know I can't even explain
