While thousands of soccer fans braved the heat at Snap Dragon Stadium this evening to watch one of the ways most popular players hit the pitch for the very last time Alex Morgan accomplished just about everything during her incredible 15 year career. It's been a bittersweet day for fans of Alex Morgan who have enjoyed watching her play in San Diego. Now we got to go inside the stadium tonight to watch the farewell ceremony before the game started. Here's a glimpse inside Snapdragon as fans cheered on Alex Morgan for her final game. Definitely gonna miss her. Definitely an icon. She adopted San Diego and she's kind of like a pioneer for women's sports in San Diego in a hole. The San Diego wave star announced her retirement this past Thursday and today bands came out to support her. It has been of Diego. It saves Morgan forever because I'm gonna miss more again. See I could play it. She's the player. They say her legendary career is a true inspiration. Alex Morgan is a two time world cup champion and Olympic gold medalist. She ranks fifth in the US women's national team's history in international goals scored with 123. Just like Alex Morgan. Probably one of the biggest in women's sports. It's just crazy to have her out here. So it's awesome. It'll be a nice going away party for her, for sure. The 35 year old is also a mom last week while announcing her retirement. She announced she's expecting her second child. I'm totally gonna miss her. I cried the whole time. She was giving her a press conference the other day because, um, she's made such an impact on the game and I'm like a huge fan, so I'm totally gonna miss her and I'm so happy to bring my daughter to the game and watch and, um, be a part of this amazing league and I'm so happy to be a fan.
