'S HAITIAN COMMUNITY AHEAD AT 6:00 ON CBS NEWS MIAMI. >>> ANOTHER ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS SOUTH FLORIDA TODAY WITH MORE ON THE WAY TOMORROW. NEXT WEATHER SPECIALIST IVAN CABRERA JOINS US. >> SAME LIKE CLOCK WORK YESTERDAY. WE HAD THE THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. WE HAVE THEM RIGHT NOW. POCKETS OF VERY GOOD RAINFALL UP TOWARD CORAL SPRINGS THERE. THE BEND DOWN TOWARD PORTIONS OF MIAMI DADE ARE LOOKING PRETTY WELL FROM OPALACA. THINGS NOT AS BUSY DOWN IN SOUTHERN MIAMI DADE THAT CONTINUE TO DIMINISH THERE. NEXT WEATHER STORM TRACKER PUSHING EVERYTHING EAST. THIS IS THE KIND OF PATTERN WE'VE BEEN IN THE LAST FEW DAYS. WE GET THESE STORMS GOING AND THEY INTERACT WITH EACH OTHER AND IT'S DIFFICULT TO DO THAT BUT WE'LL DO THAT STEADILY AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE REST OF THE NIGHT. THE HEAT ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE BUT A LOT OF US HAVE COOLED OFF. SOME POCKETS THAT HAVE STILL NOT GOTTEN WET. FOR EXAMPLE PEMBROOK PINES. OUR PATTERN UNCHANGED FROM THE LAST FEW DAYS. REALLY CONTINUING TO SEE TROPICAL MOISTURE O -- ON TOP OF US. THAT'S GOING TO TRY TO DEVELOP RAIN SHOWERS IN THE AFTERNOON. AND LOWER THE AVAILABLE MOISTURE IN THE ATMOSPHERE THAT WILL RESULT IN THE RAIN NOT AS FULL OF MOISTURE . WE'LL STOP POPPING SHOWERS AND STORMS BETWEEN 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 AND EVERYTHING AGAIN THAT WILL TAKE SOME TIME. WE HAVE FRANCINE IMMINENT LANDFALL IN THE NEXT HOUR AND A HALF. TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS OF COURSE, THERE'S THE CENTER OF CIRCULATION WELL DEFINED. TIGHTENING UP SO OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF HOURS THIS LAST MINUTE UPDATE FROM THE HURRICANE CENTER BRINGS IT IN AT 100 MILES PER HOUR. WE'RE NOT DEALING WITH LANDFALLING CATEGORY 2 STORM ACROSS LOUISIANA. AND SOME OF THE BUOYS AND ALSO SOME REPORTING STATIONS INLAND THERE ALREADY SEEING SOME TROPICAL STORM WIND GUSTS. THEY WILL GET INTO HURRICANE WINDS FOR LATER ON THIS EVENING. ANOTHER AREA THAT IS NOT EVEN HERE. THIS IS FOR NEXT WEEK. ALONG THE EASTERN SEABOARD AND THAT WILL HEAD OFF TO THE NORTHEAST. NO WORRIES HERE IN FLORIDA BUT THAT MAY BE A POTENTIAL DEPRESSION IF IT GETS ITS ACT TOGETHER THERE. WE HAVE A COUPLE OF AREAS LOW CHANCE OF DEVELOPMENT. THIS IS THE NEW ONE, THIS IS THE ONE WE'VE BEEN TALKING ABOUT THE LAST FEW DAYS WITH THE HIGH END OF DEVELOPMENT. IT'S NOW TROPICAL DEPRESSION 7. THIS WILL BE GORDON THAT'S THE NEXT NAME ON THE LIST AND GORDON WILL BE PUSHING TOWARD THE WEST. AND THEN EVENTUALLY I'M STILL THINKING A TURN TO THE NORTH. THAT ALSO NOT LOOKING AS A THREAT FOR US BUT THE CARIBBEAN THAT LOOKS LIKE THAT WILL BE LEFT ALONE FOR THIS PARTICULAR FEATURE. RAIN CHANCES PRETTY HIGH FOR TOMORROW AFTERNOON. AND DIMINISHING COVERAGE
