Good Morning Football is in CRISIS MODE Right Now | Jason McCourty Not Coming Back?

yeah good morning football is in some serious trouble folks welcome everybody to jg9 news where we talk all things NFL all the time I'm jarro and I represent the 904 from a 602 and today we are talking about the most popular football talk show in the country good morning football on NFL Network it's how a lot of people have started their day for the last few years the crew right now Jamie erdle is the host alongside Jason mccordi Pierre shreer and Kyle brt it's been those four for the past 20 months or so it's a very good pairing it's a very good show but obviously a lot of changes coming to good morning football they're making the move from New York to Los Angeles at the end of the month so by the start of April you will not be seeing good morning football in New York it will be in Los Angeles except for the fact that the show is going on a Hiatus for the spring and for the summer until late July good morning football will resume at the NFL studios in LA in about three and a half four months from now we don't know what the future of the show is going to look like the press release was very odd but we knew for a while now that Jamie ER was going to be leaving momentarily even if the show was happening because she is having a baby so she is going on maternity leave and I was really interested to see what her statement would be as she's leaving the show for the moment again temporary how good morning football would handle that usually when someone leaves and goes on maternity leave with the expectation that they're coming back it's a bunch of well- wishes from people and talking about how excited they are to have her back good luck on the pregnancy good luck on the baby it's an exciting time this was anything but that this was an incredibly weird ending to Today's show I want to break it down because it definitely leaves more questions than answers about the future of good morning football because this show might look radically different in a few months time when it comes back in Late July or early August there no set date yet as to when it's coming back all I know is that it's coming back in Los Angeles So Jamie erall I'm going to play her statement that she said to end the show I'm going to play this entirety now keep in mind I have an NFL Plus subscription but NFL plus does not upload the replay of good morning football until later in the day and I want to get this video out so I found this YouTube stream that is showing it that's why the video is diagonal it's probably to get around copyright laws what they're doing is highly illegal but I figure you know that's the only way I can get this clip so this is the best angle that I can get but this is what Jamie erall had to say about her maternity leave so when I was invited to be a part of a show of this magnitude nearly two years ago for 15 hours a week covering the depths of a professional league with as much power as the NFL wields to sit next to a man like Jason mccordi whose reputation in personality character and class precedes him to sit across from Peter shreer whose depth and knowledge of the league and its history is only matched by the wit and wisdom in which he delivers his Nuance takes or to sit beside Kyle Brandt the man whose tenacious Creative Drive and work ethic is a force to be reckoned with and one that I feel incredibly honored to watch unfold from beginning to end every day two years ago to ask to be a part of this machine it was an intimidating invitation to accept I've only ever wanted to be known as a really good point guard I didn't play that high level of basketball but I have a very specific definition of what makes a really good point guard one even in utter exhaustion you never stand alone hands on your knees during someone else's free throws no you walk over to your coach and you let them talk at you on how to make the game better that's how I hope I treated my producers on this show it was a you tell me what do we need here kind of approach a good point guard welcomes you with an arm around your shoulder because the better I know you the better the team is and that's how I hope I treated everyone who works behind the scenes here on good morning football and now this next qualifier comes into question for some because listen I respect it if you love a Score first mentality point guard those guys are really fun to watch but I was always a pass first point guard and after the intimidation of sitting next to Jason Peter and Kyle wore off I realized what would make us great is if I tried my best to set them up for Success every day every segment I always just really wanted to be a really good point guard I've been so proud of playing this gmfb game here in New York City the last 20 months the work the creativity the friendships it's been an honor I'm proud of the person that I am when I sit in that red chair and out of it as a host as a wife as a mom and a daughter I'm also really happy to say that I get to keep sitting in my chair being the best point guard I can be when good morning football returns in Los Angeles this is a very hard time for many people affected by this decision to move the show and all I can hope is for the people making these decisions our Executives at the NFL our coaches to not make these changes lightly and to do so with the best intention of keeping what people love about gmfb intact the fact that it's four people who love this game and this league sitting around that big beautiful table and dedicated team beyond the table giving you everything we have got at night and every morning so I will see you from LA but now I'm going to go have a baby and in the interim we'll talk draft and we'll talk social media and thank you yeah that that that seemed kind of bizarre now don't get me wrong it's a great statement don't get me wrong but it doesn't seem like the kind of statement you make if you're going on maternity leave you start off reminiscing about your first two years and you talked about being a point guard it almost seems like a farewell talked about how I hope that's how he treated everyone hope that's how he treated the people behind the scenes that's hope how I treated my producers you don't really say that if you're coming back and if everyone else is coming back you talked about what you loved about your co-workers but again they're all going to be there presumably so it feels like a farewell especially because she teared up and she choked on her words at times how was an honor to be there for the last 20 months talked about what made us great as a team the four of us great wanted to set everyone up for Success that doesn't seem like something you say if you're leaving for good I mean we saw earlier Maria Taylor on Sunday night football football night in America she left because she was going on maternity leave they didn't do anything like this she didn't make any statements like this talking about how I hope I treat everyone well and I love working with my co-workers and basically making it seem like a farewell cuz she's going to be back so based on this and it seems like she's walking away from Good Morning football and she's not going to make the move from New York to LA but then she announces that she's making the return and when it comes back to LA she will be there we didn't know if she was going to be there or not all we knew was that Peter shreer was going to make the move but we didn't know about everyone else in the cast but she announc despite all of that and despite making it seem like a farewell speech and shoking up and everything that she is coming back and making the move to LA but when she said that she didn't talk about how excited she was to go to La she didn't talk about that at all she basically bashed the NFL Executives for making the move she basically said yeah I'm making the move after my maternity Le is done I'm going from New York to LA but I don't agree with this one bit it's a hard time for people if they're going to make this decision and commit to this don't do it lightly and you better keep the show and the Heart of it intact you better have our best interests in mind you better have the best interest of the fans in mind you better the best interests of everyone in mind you don't say something like that if you're excited for the move if you were excited for the move you would say anything else besides that you would say anything else besides bashing your boss and openly pondering what the future of the show is going to be if you were excited about the movie you'd say look I'm going on maternity leave I love working with these guys I'll be back in Los Angeles and we're going to make some more magic happen there and I can't wait to get back and get back in the swing of things with these guys you don't say what she did it it was just a bizarre statement and then making matters even crazier was that after that obviously the cast consulted her and they gave her hugs and they gave her congratulatory remarks on the baby and how awesome it has been to work with her over the last two years but then Jason mccordi said this take a listen I think for all of us Kyle's obviously not here but for you you've been here in New York City for a long time I've been sitting alongside you for the last two years and a lot of us we don't know what the future holds and to be able to do that alongside you for me embarking in this TV Journey being able to ask you so many questions has been phenomenal can't imagine not being next to you but I don't know what's next and I'm so happy for you congratulations on the baby the family so many great things ahead I'm excited for thank you I've been sitting alongside you for the last two years a lot of us we don't know what the future holds I can't imagine not being next to you but I don't know what's next but why why would you not know what's next she made it very clear that she's coming back when the show is in Los Angeles so did Jason mccordi just imply that he's not making the move I think with this statement Jason mccordi is basically saying I'm not going to see you again on this show I'm not making the move if mccordi was making the move you figure he would say can't wait to see when La when you get back can't wait for you to come back we can make some more magic happen I can't wait for the four of us to be on the show again it's going to be a lot of fun we're going to miss you but we can't wait for you get it back but for mccordi to say that it makes it seem like he's not making the move and I can't imagine mccordi got fired that would have make any sense in the world McCord's great on that show people love him obviously I don't think he got fired so why would you say that you don't know what's next and I love being next to you for the last two years but I don't know what the future holds if she explicitly said I'm still going to be on the show in July does that mean that mccordi is not making the move it sure seems that way so just a bizarre bizarre statement that I had to break down Jamie erall making the move from New York Los Angeles when good morning football comes back but she does not seem happy about it and based on how her statement was where it seemed like a farewell it seems like there is going to be a significant upheaval in terms of the people on the show and people behind the scenes and a lot of guys that will not make the move and then Jason mccordi with his statement making it seem like he is not going to make the move and I'd be very very surprised if be does make the move based on those words but what are your thoughts on good morning football are you excited about the move to Los Angeles do you think that Jason
