but terion Arnold speaking of Smashmouth I take my tar for terion Arnold a Smashmouth football player in terion Arnold he was the first round draft pick for the Detroit Lions this year another Bama guy I expect him to be comfortable I don't expect him to be S Garder I don't expect him to be this first team All Pro as a rookie but he doesn't have to be because you have Carlton Davis the veteran on the other side you've got Kirby Joseph and Brian Branch two great Playmakers in the back end he just needs to be good eventually he is going to be our first our number one cornerback on this team I have the all the faith in the world of that but he doesn't have to be that guy right out of the gate he is insulated with players around him so he can just be good he can just be terion Arnold and I I'm excited to see him do that because these Bama guys man they come into the league and they show out I don't exactly expect him to have the same kind of showing as Brian Branch did week one if he gets a pick six off Matt Stafford I would love love it but I expect them to be a good corner and then eventually roll into that number one corner yeah I kind I'm kind of with you on that one I'm not expecting too much if I had to predict the stat line I saw one earlier predicted like 11 pass deflections only one interception I I think it's four I don't know I don't know what it is man I just got a feeling man like there's a lot of guys in this defense that they're meant to make play and I think I heard it last night I want to shout to my guy Avery uh from Spirit of Detroit he kind of likened it to like that the Saints defense when they were got on a run there a lot of Playmakers back there and Brian branch is that Kirby is that I don't know if Jack Campbell's going to he was that in college obviously get interceptions whatnot but like he's got that 6'5 frame to man the middle even just get your hand on the ball to allow one of those guys in the back field to capitalize on I think know tan AR will be one of those guys I I don't think he's going be a pro bowler I don't think he's going be a All Pro I think that stuff's kind of crazy to expect I think this Defensive class as a whole was kind of I mean that's why you didn't see the first gu off the board to like 15 it was a weak defensive draft a lot of them were more Pro versus like set in stone like ready to go pieces yeah I think as the year goes on he'll get better but for now he's just yeah he's just he'll be a starting guy it may the star tag comes along later in his career [Music]
