neighbor and say you made it that was the hardest part of all day to get here and you guys made it praise God good to see you guys my name is Steve uh normally you don't see me because I'm back there in the nerd section back there with the the sound so I guess they call it Geeks now so but anyways I'm Steve nice to meet you welcome welcome this morning if you see uh the pastor not here and you know Autumn and Pastor Colin is because they're in Maui they're at our power conference the good one they're suffering for Jesus we always have to force Pastor col Pastor col if you're listening like we always have to force you to go right he always says they put my they tie my hands behind my back and they force me to go excuse me they force me to go to Maui so that's where they're at they're they're receiving of the lord it's power conference where all the pastors of Kings meet together so they're on the same page going for the same thing for the kingdom of God that way everybody is is in tune and and we appreciate that we really do appreciate appreciate that so as some of you don't know we're with Kings um we're globally 700 plus churches worldwide um and growing um so praise God it's not about the number of churches it's about the number of people for the kingdom of God so you know praise God praise God morning so how many of you have the Bible app okay that's good I know a lot of people do this morning's uh prayer or this morning's verse was awesome it's in Hebrews 4:12 it says for the word of God is alive is alive it's not stagnant it's not just mediocre it's not dead it's alive and Powerful it is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword cutting between Soul and Spirit between joint and and Mar it exposes our innermost thoughts and desires when when I read this one this morning um what came to mind is in our life group uh we talked about uh um being called to to to service you know to to serve for the Lord you know for his kingdom and one there was an example in there about a sword you know we talked about the sword um I don't know if you guys know what a sword goes through to become a sword those swords that the Marines wear the swords that they wore in the Civil War I mean they get heated up to to like a glowing bright you know burning fire red yellow orange then they get taken out of that fire they get beaten up beaten up beating up to get into shape back in the fire back out beating up some more back in the fire it's a process finally they start becoming to looking like a sword then they start polishing it and cleaning it polishing and then becomes really shiny really sharp really strong and sometimes we go through stuff like that you know we we get beaten up we get dragged through things we get put in the fire it's okay you're not the only one we all go through that but incorporate the word of God in your life and you will be strong you will be sharp like a two-edged sword you know keep your keep your focus in the word God has great things for you so if this is your first time we have some welcome cards fill it out uh leave it in the back uh jebie will take them from for you um if even if you have a prayer request put a Hallelujah [Music] hallelu thank you Steve was talking about fire the Lord downloaded into me once again about fire is there anybody here going through a Wilderness going through troubles worried anxious is there anybody here the Lord says that there's times I let you go through those and there's a reason because you're going to go through a fire like a pinion Pine the seed in the pinion nut in the pine cone cannot grow until it has gone through the fire there's a lot of things that cannot grow till it's gone through the fire but the Lord says I I will never leave you I will never forsake you I will be there with you through the whole thing holding your hand if you trust me if you trust me but if you're going through these as this last song not the one but the one before said this is how I fight my battles with Thanksgiving Thanksgiving that we even go through those we're told that even in the tough times we're to praise and give Thanksgiving to the Lord because he will bring us through those so if you are going through this praise the Lord hallelujah give him Thanksgiving and know he will never leave you he will never forsake you hallelujah thank you Lord hallelujah so I thr up my hands praise you again and again for all that I have is a [Music] hallelu I know it's not much nothing else Fit For A except foring in hallelu Hallelujah thank you Jesus thank you Jesus Hallelujah Jesus thank you thank you just want to continue this attitude of worship with with offering so brother Brian can come back to that front place want to go through another form of worship and that's giving our tithes and offerings to the storehouse because the Lord says bring to me your tithes and offerings bring them to my Storehouse for he is Jehovah Gyra he not only provides your needs but he provides the needs of the church and that is by bringing our tithes and offerings to the church to the storehouse where it can be distributed and we know that the Lord says I will bless you if you don't want to give guess what you just rob me and what is it that you rob me of a blessing it's not that you stole my money it's you stole the blessing that I had for you because as you give your tithes and offerings I will bless you I have a great big shovel no matter how you bring it yours mine's bigger and I promise to put blessing upon blessing on you I will open my floodgates wide open and pour those blessings upon you and and the picture the lord gave me of that was like uh at Hoover Dam when the when the dam is getting close to overflowing they open the floodgates of the dam down below and the water because of all the pressure shoots straight out and the Lord says that's how I want to bless you are you ready to receive that blessing amen so we have three ways of giving we have the uh um inperson which is the envelopes on the back we have the website and we have the church app so um give either way and that so Lord we thank you Father for the opportunity to just give back to you father a portion just a portion of what you've given us Lord but you call us to do it we may receive those blessings father so I ask that you bless those that are giving today and abundantly abundantly bless them Father and we thank you for that and pray it in Jesus's Mighty and precious name amen now have have you received Jesus in your heart he's your lord and savior you want to live for Jesus all the days of your life amen amen I'm heing your confession of faith I now baptize you in the the Father the Son of the Holy Spirit welcome to Kings Phoenix where we are all about people Hallelujah Sunday is set aside to rejuvenate heal and equip each of us as ministers as we come together with one heart may we sense the power of Holy Spirit he is so worthy of our time and our worship um Debbie in the back this is not just for new Believers amen spiritual boot camp is for all of us seasoned new Believers and seasoned Believers we all want to know more about God Amen more of God in our lives so make sure you sign up for that and you know as this house anything that we do food is usually involved so food will be involved amen amen so see her for the details I don't want to spend too much time on that we also had our volunteers meeting last Sunday if you weren't able to make it and you still want to volunteer for something please come see me we need all the help we can get kids church um Nursery media the nerd section I guess it's called now I don't know so please come see me if you want to volunteer and build the the house of God Amen um Pastor Autumn also sent out um a text about youth convention is coming up October 25th through the 26 it's at Dream City Church it's for students 7th to 12th grade so you want to see me um I will put your name down also but we also could look for people who want to sponsor a youth okay so if you want to sponsor a youth just get with me and I'll give you the details about that and I think those are the only announcements I have um our guest speaker today amen is a respected business leader and a friend to our pastors and a friend to me I met him actually at um a missions trip we did in Al Salvador many moons ago but we welcome him today uh this mighty man of God um Raymond Grim we just thank you for being here sir thank you so much Patty you know I was first going to get up here and say say man I'm excited to be here today but more than excited to be honest I'm honored I'm honored that uh Pastor Colin would uh trust me to stand up here and speak to his people that is a a huge honor and uh I really appreciate that and like Patty said I I first met Colin on a mission trip in El Salvador many years ago we were at different churches and our churches combined to go on this mission trip and we went and uh we served down um in El Salvador and at that time I knew that you know he was a praise and worship pastor but I saw a senior pastor in him at that time and and so our relationship grew a little bit from there and um you know I it was cool I was able to go my wife and I were able to go to his first meeting at at the zoo Dylan's at the zoo we're at there and God gave me a message for him um for him personally at that time and I don't remember the details of it but I do remember this um faithfulness is that Colin Pastor Colin was faithful in his life and during a season and that God is going to be faithful to him and bless him and bless this ministry man you guys you know I really believe that God is going to use this church to do great things in the West Valley of of Phoenix thank you all right so I'm GNA start off uh Matthew 513- 16 if you guys want to look that up real quick Matthew 51 13-16 and while you're looking that up I know I see some of you you have your physical Bibles with you some of you are looking at your phones you know what either way is fine for me you know sometimes I use the physical Bible sometimes I use the an app or online but make sure no matter what you have physical Bibles in your house and have multiple physical Bibles because at some point it it that can be turned off online they can flip the switch they can say the Bible is uh hate speech or they can say many things about the Bible and then it off you can't read it anymore make sure you have physical bibles if not for you for your kids your grandkids and your great grandkids so that's where I want to start all right Matthew 51 13-16 it says you are the salt of the earth but if the salt loses its flavor how shall it be seasoned it is then good for nothing but to be thrown out trampled underfoot by men you are the light of the world a city I'm sorry that is set on a hill cannot be hidden nor do thy light and lamp put under a basket but on a lampstand and it gives light to all who are in the house let your light so shine before men that they may see your works or good works and glorify your father in Heaven okay so I put together National Day of Prayer every year so this year at National Day of Prayer I I kind of clip some of my sermon out of that so if you went to National Day of Prayer you're going to say hey that sounds familiar so a few years ago I started um started as hobby of hiking and it kind of started off because my my family we went up to Walnut Canyon up in Flagstaff to go visit some Indian Ruins up there and when we're coming back out of the canyon I really struggled to get up that hill I'm like all right this isn't good so I started doing some little hiking and things like that and so for the last three or four years I go hiking now when I go I usually go early in the morning like 5 o'clock the parks open primarily I go to the white t mountains just west of here there's a a trail that's about 8.4 miles that my brother and I hit or we'll go over to Lake Pleasant there's a nice um Trail over there that goes Y A P point that goes up to the top of the mountain about 1.2 miles 1.3 miles in that you overlook the lake and and that's a pretty cool cool Trail to go on as well so I start started this um like I said about three or four years ago and when I first started I primarily went by myself it took time for my brother to start going with me so when I go there in the morning um and the sun wasn't out yet I had to have a light you know to see the trail so I have a light that I put on and I I hang on my um my camel pack and that it lights the path in front of me now one time I was out going to Lake Pleasant I was hiking along and um you know I had a good Pace going and then there's bushes and stuff that are on the side of the trail and so if you guys understand you know how light works the there's a shadow that would be cast upon you know behind that bush and so something that was happening as I was moving that shadow was moving and so it started messing with me because um when you're out there you know in the wilderness if you want to see animals you usually see them because of movement and so that movement was taking place it kind of scared me a little bit and so you know I had to mentally prepare myself and and also when I hike I have to hike looking down at my feet and the reason why I have to do that is because when I was young I played a lot of basketball I I jacked my ankles up quite a few times so if I step on anything uneven my ankle flips and I'm on the ground like right away so I have to keep my eyes on on my feet making sure you know and and I got to scan the trail so I scan it make sure there's no rocks that I'm going to step on that are going to mess me up and then um and so that's kind of how I go when I'm hiking so of course as I'm hiking and this is on the same trip you know the lights you know going forward in front of me I'm going along I had a really good Pace going forward and I was like all right I'm making a good time then all a sudden this this bright white leg was like right in front of me like 10 feet in front of me it like it spooked me I stopped and I was scared I'm like what and then I watched I felt like it was like a minute I was staring at this thing but just probably a couple seconds but then it just kind of moved off and then I looked and I noticed well it's one of those wild donkeys that are up there around Lake Pleasant and then I kind of like okay I kind of look around and I see in the shadows man I'm in the middle of a pack of these things and so and I know that um in news stories and stuff you know they'll come after you they'll knock you down and so I was like all right I got to go so I just started picked up the pace and got p that and there's another time probably the first time that I went at um White Tanks and I was by myself I had my light on um when I started walking on the trail it's really kind of a weird feeling I don't feel this way anymore but the first time a weird feeling of Darkness all around you and the only light is where you're at and I was moving along you just kind of feel the darkness and then as you as I was going along and it only happened this one time when I was hiking up there but the shadows as I was going up the trail it's a a 1.2 mile up to the top of the peak of this first Mountain I think it's about 700 feet elevation is we're going through the switchbacks and stuff and it looked like the trail was ending and it kind of it was like messing with me I'm like well I know the trail keeps going but it looked like it was ending so I just had to keep taking one step two steps and then finally the light shined and the shadow went away and I can see the path um to where I was going so that kind of gets me into the message here about being the light um that is the title to my message be the light and when I'm talking about being the light so when I go hiking there's some mornings where it's a full moon and you can and it's enough light from the Moon that you can see the trail now out of security I still I I guess for myself I still put my light on when it's a full moon but technically I mean you could you know you could go ahead and hide there's enough light there but the moon does not produce light the only thing the moon does is reflect the light from the sun and so what I'm talking about being the light us being the light all I'm talking about is US reflecting Christ all right we we're not the light I'm not the light but my goal is is that I'm reflecting Christ right to my community Point number one be the light at home so with that I want to start off you know you can't like go to church and be one person at church or in the community and then go home and be abusive to your spouse or to your kids or or be mean be rude you know be that type of person at home I was having a discussion this week with a a a youth director here in the West Valley um I had coffee with him on Friday and he told me this story and I'm like oh man I got to put that in my sermon that's really that's really good with this so he was saying that in the summer he was doing a youth camp up north and they were doing a skit um and he was the bad person in the skit that they were doing he comes off the stage and he's sitting next to his son who's really young and his son said I don't like that Daddy I don't like you Daddy I want the other Daddy and it took him a second he asked him to repeat it he goes I like the other daddy and he realized what he was saying is he likes the daddy that he sees every day and at home not the one that he just witnessed as the bad guy up on stage so at home we need to have the fruit of the spirit in our life right when we have Christ in our life we have the fruit of the spirit and what does that look like when we're at home it should be the same where we're in public we need to have love joy peace patience kindness goodness gentleness and self-control Point number two be the light at work or school John 15:13 reads greater love has no one than this that someone laid down his life for his friends um years ago it almost feels like a a previous life but years ago I was I worked in the receiving department at Home Depot and if anybody knows or been around truck drivers and that kind of environment it can be pretty interesting conversation salty a lot of cussing that that kind of thing that took place so it was it was kind of a unique environment to be in um at one point one of my my fellow uh guys I worked with just came to me and has some questions because him and his wife were going through some stuff and and so I ended up having a conversation with him went to his house with him and his wife and then that kind of started just where we we started meeting weekly you know ended up stting a little bible study out of that and had like 20 people show up like every week on a Friday night and in that it's like everybody that I was working with that had that crazy environment were now saved and and so the environment totally changed but what it went beyond just that so everybody that worked in the store knew that if they were going through something they can come back and we would bring them in the trailer and we would pray over them I mean during that time we saw you know back at that time you know you had the HIV that was primarily in in one Community we had a gentleman that had HIV man we brought in we prayed over him all the time CU he was going through some stuff um we saw people delivered of alcoholism and things like that you know we saw uh God do some great things now my day job I'm an insurance agent I have my office over in Surprise and on Monday mornings every Monday morning we have a staff meeting we go through our um you know what we did last week goals for next week or this coming week and then at the end we pray for our clients that if any client calls in they're going through stuff man we take a moment and pray for them and then the last thing I pray for before we get back to work I pray for each of my employees I pray over them their family and their marriage and uh not too long ago I had an employee that was going through a divorce the paperworks were filed you know the um lawyers you know the process was far down the tracks and man and I I still prayed over that marriage with them and um you know about two or three months ago that marriage was restored and uh and that family is saved it's it's a great thing to see and the last thing I want to say on this piece is I've given my employees the Liberty to pray with with clients if they need to and I do it all the time and I had a last week I had a client call well she's not my client her husband is my client um they were separated he had his own house house down the street from her from the conversation it sound like they still got along they just couldn't live in the same house so that was kind of kind of the deal but anyways um so he had passed away so she's trying to you know get all the paperwork and all that stuff done and during the conversation I could tell that that like it was a heavy burden on her and then at the end of the conversation and I always I say this as the magic word but anytime I have a conversation with a client and things are crazy for them I always always I just say this is it okay if I pray with you that's all you need to say is it okay if I pray with you she agreed for me to pray with her I said a quick short prayer and at the end it took her a moment she didn't respond and then she goes thank you so much and I can tell in her voice that she was crying she said I don't know she said I thank you for your boldness and uh that is what I really needed right now going through this Point number three be the light at church John 12: 34-35 it reads a new command I give you love one another as I have loved you so you must love one another be this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another I'm GNA start off by saying this one of the biggest I've been in church long enough that I know one of the biggest issues in church is the gossip peace be the gossip stopper if gossip comes to you put a stop to it you know don't let that that's not the light of God that is destructive in any church so if if you know when that comes to your lap put a stop to it but the the story I want to share with this is actually about my wife Rebecca and Rebecca grew up in a church where the the ladies of the church whenever someone was going through some stuff a family who going through stuff is they make meals for them and so anytime someone have someone sick in their family there's a funeral um someone's getting married or someone has babies they would organize a meal training and they would bring meals to them and she has done that not only did she do it you know at that church but she does it still today she still does it for that church and the church we go to now she does it as well for people in that church um and I I think she probably averages one for the year probably one to two meals a week would that be accurate probably one to two meals a week and not only did she you know she's sitting there making the meals she's praying over the people that she's making the meals for as she's making it she's praying over them praying over their families in their situations and then when she delivers the meals she prays over them and give them words of encouragement as she's there and so that's why I included the um the verse with the salty because uh she's a great cook and man those people are blessed double not only they getting a free meal but they are getting Quality quality food and as you can see I I eat pretty good and my final point for but it's going to be a little bit lengthy so don't get excited that it's going to be quick is going to be the light in the community verse I'm going to read is Proverbs 28:12 when the the righteous Triumph there is great Elation but when the wicked rise to power people go into hiding and that's going to kind of be my main focus here going forward but I want to share this so sometimes I think people we kind of get the wrong mindset when we go to church and we get involved in church we kind of start to think that I need to go to church for me I need to go to church to get blessed I need to go to church for this and that a lot of different things that um we go to church for but I think we should change the name to church to the tool shed right we we should be coming here to get new tools to get equipped to get our tools sharpened so that when we leave here we can go out and and be influenced in our community right we come here to get prepared then we go out and we change the environment that we're in just like when I'm walking around that light that light changed the environment it's dark and then when I walk into it that while I'm hiking now there's light and that's the way you guys should look how church should be for you you're coming here getting prepared so you can go out and make a difference make an influence in your community so in the Old Testament when you read through it and um you read about the kings of Israel and Judah together there there is a very distinct pattern when it talks about the Kings you have your bad kings and your good Kings right so usually when he talk about the bad kings it says something to the effect of so and so jeroboam did not walk in the ways of his father David and then what what the b king would do would go ahead and let foreign God's foreign influence coming into the into their country and they would not listen to the prophets and Priests and during that time would bring judgment on Israel and and it would be bad bad things right but then there was the good Kings and it would say the exact opposite right King Assa he followed in his footsteps of his father David he listened to His prophets and Priests he tore down all the foreign Gods all the foreign Idols he tore all that stuff down so in in the Old Testament when we talk about those kings if you were stuck with a bad King you were stuck with that King until that that dude passed away and then you get the next king and you hope that it's a good King now we're lucky in the United States of America that we can we can pretty quickly change leadership every elected official is voted on every two four or six years they're voted on we get to keep them or a them packing so we have the opportunity to fix our leaders I mean that's good right so so this is the downside of that last election less than 50% of Born Again Christians voted less than 50% that's that's not a good thing and this is how it affects us all right in California last year they passed a bill and just came in it just came into effect like two months ago AB 665 assembly Bill 665 what does that bill give or what does it do so what that does is a a kid that is 12 years older older can go talk to a school counselor any counselor psychiatrist an internship counselor anybody with that type of title and that counselor has to keep that information away from their parents the parents and the parents can't interfere with those counseling sessions any way shape or form there is a wall that the state had put up there and what that does so if if a kid if a kid goes to a counselor and they said they want a transition right go through that the parents have no say in fact what the state will do is remove that child from you if you don't agree to go along with with that nonsense that's in California in 2021 in Maryland there was a military couple who had a 15-year-old son who's autistic he just went through a breakup with his girlfriend he was very distraught and and because of that you know he kind of did some self harm of course as a parent you're concerned so the parents bring this child to DC um children's hospital and as they were um at the hospital for a little while they came back to the parents and said well your son wants to transition and they're like well you know he's autistic he's he's influenced all that stuff and they're like well that's what he wants and so the parents wouldn't agree go along with it they took the parent I mean they took that child away from the parents that CH that child ended up moving in and living with someone that was a nonbinding Ary chaplain these are the things we have to be concerned about and I I'm talking about being influential right so we have to be influential on our side let's contrast that what just happened in Louisiana did you guys hear what happened over there the governor just signed a bill that all public education anything that receives public funds and educations have to post the Ten Commandments has to post to Ten Commandments now if as a parent what what school district would you want to go to right so I'm gonna go back to influence us influence and being the light in our community so some of the things that we can do is in City of Surprise uh they have invocation before City Council in fact Tuesday night there's going to be a pretty hot and heavy city council meeting if you guys been seeing the news some interesting things happen in Surprise and um I I went and called up and they didn't have anyone scheduled to pray before the meeting so I'm praying before city council meeting on Tuesday night and surprise we have a new mayor coming in into um first of the year January 1 we'll have a new mayor in Surprise and the first council meeting he asked me if if I would sign up to pray over that meeting as well so I'll be pray at that meeting as well so again what do we need to do we need to register to vote number one and we need to vote Christians need to vote yeah and do you know that you know I ran I ran for city council a few years ago and you're able to get a copy of all the registered voters in your district and you also get to see if they voted in the last election or not now as a as someone running for any office if someone's coming to you and you know that they vote every time you're going to have their ear but if they know that you don't vote you might be registered to vote but you don't vote they're not going to listen to you and I kind of got caught up in this right so I I was I was going door too in my community getting signatures and this uh one lady got me and I was there probably 15 20 minutes she was telling me everything about you know what she sees what the city needs to do you know she she she had a lot of ideas right and then at the end of the conversation I said okay can you sign my petition well I'm not registered to vote I'm like ah all right and you know this year in Arizona that there is going to be a measure on the ballot for abortion expanding abortion so if you you guys follow what has gone on there so back when roow versus way was overturned it went back to the States now the State of Arizona had not passed any abortion legislation until way back before when it was just a territory before it was a state and that legislation was no abortion that's just the way it was now since then couple people caved and now there is abortion early on in pregnancy in our state but now there's this measure that wants to expand it so we got to make sure we get to the ballot for that something else that you can do is sign up for different commission and Boards into your community uh City of Surprise has multiple boards like Planning and Zoning commission they have an Arts Council I was on the parks and rec committee for a while and there's different um boards and commissions that you can sign up for or ask to be part of you have to get voted in by by some elected official but you can sign up to be part of that and and then you have an influence you have a stay uh a say in what happens in your community and I'll give an example of something that happened that was that was pretty good so this nonprofit organization went to the city and they were all excited because they had this piece of art they wanted to give the city donate to the city great piece of art but it was a phallic symbol and so the council city council gave the authority to the Arts commission to find out where it would be now this nonprofit organization wanted to place it in a prominent place in the city and put lights on it to where it was a spectacle for the city we had a great um woman of God that was the the chairperson of that committee and was able to get that move to an area that was that's pretty much not seen they still took the donation but it's it's not something that's prominent in the city become a Precinct committee man precin committee men it's um it's a position that you get on with either of the part or any of the parties actually and so when you're able to go in and be a precin committee man you have a voice as to what the party puts out there right and you know and as you you know you become an elector and that kind of things as well but how many of you guys remember back I don't remember how how long ago it was 2012 or or whatever where there's all over the news where the Democratic Convention is they forgot to put something about God in their bylaws so they went back and they had to clean that up and they went before all these influ you know all the people in the party that were at this convention to put it back in they asked how many people vote to put God back in our our uh bylaws they all booed it they didn't want it they just didn't want it but the person up on the stage said by my calculations I believe it passed so they passed it even though the people said no in that particular situation kind of interesting something else you can do and and so real quick let me let me go back I should have said this earlier now this when I start talking about volunteering and working in these committees and that kind of things it's something that God has to call into your heart you know if if if you don't feel that calling in your heart that's not for you but I feel feel that there's one two three or four people in here this morning that you know God's called you to run for public office God's called you to get involved in these kind of things and you've been reluctant and so I just want to encourage you that you know you need to you need to push forward with that also you can run for school board city council mayor state representative what whatever we need good Christian men and women in those positions we we really do do and I'll want give you an example of that how that works here locally um how many of you guys know what title n is title n so what Title 9 is for you that that don't know back in the early 70s president Richard Nixon signed into law title n what title n did was extend and protect women in sports meaning that if you had a boy sport you had to you had to also offer the same sport or to to the girls right so if you had a vol men's volleyball team there had to be a girls volleyball team men's basketball had to be girls basketball those type of things and um baseball softball so you had to offer that um to students in in the educational system and there's federal tax dollars that that is um attributed to that and so what did our current Administration do instead of going through the normal channels of changing something like that they decided that they were just going to go in and rewrite the rules and regulations of that law and they want to extend the same things to transgenders and and so basically what would happened is boys can go into girls locker rooms go into bathrooms play sports with the boys and things like that that so that was a mandate that our federal government put on and of course like I said it's always they always attached that to federal dollars you know and so obviously for local schools that's a concern now when I was preaching today I wanted I invited some some awesome guests I hope you guys don't mind me having a stand Don desmore Christen Pritchard and Crystal [Applause] chaen and you guys just stand there for a second the reason why I invited them is for this particular thing so the Biden Administration put this out there they're all on the school board a daer unified school district they passed a resolution that they would not adopt the new guidelines that was the that the Biden Administration was trying to put on derer Unified School [Applause] District you know they stood up they I mean you stand up to the federal government you can bring some trouble on you I mean you guys you guys really put your families in your life on the line from ridicule from media and all that stuff and I want to thank you because they stood up and they said you know what not on my watch is this going to happen not on my watch thank you guys okay so I'm kind of wrapping this up right here um let me just finish off with this real quick when when I start talking about being the light in our community again it's about being a light in the community now I kind of went on a little bit about you know getting involved on the political side but that should never be our main focus our main focus is to win souls and make disciples that's what we do right but along the way when we have opportunities you know to influence our community um through being you know voting and becoming elected official and things like that that's important too we need good Christians in that environment as well and so if I can just have everybody just kind of close your eyes I'm just going to wrap this up real quick and I I want you guys just to take a moment moment of self-reflection just reflect on yourself and as I'm speaking here today you know I didn't bring up any verses and asking about salvation or anything like that but if you're sitting here today and you just know that God's saying in your heart that is today I want you to commit to Christ I want just want to pray for you here real quick heavenly father I just I just pray over um anyone that is feeling that pull in their heart father God father God just give them boldness father God to come forward at the end and Just Surrender their life to Christ father God just touch them and just bless them this morning and you guys just keep your eyes closed real quick and if the the prayer teams team teams would come on up I'm G to ask people to come up for prayer if you wouldn't mind the next person I'm going to pray for here at the end is you're in a season right now where you don't know what's going to happen next you know when I gave the example of um on that on the path and and you seen that and I felt it was a dead end you kind of feel that's where your life is right now you're at a dead end a lot of things are happening around you you don't know where you're going to go you don't see what's going to happen I just I'm going to pray over over you here in just a minute Psalms 11915 reads your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path and then I also want to pray for those that are right now going through an unexpected adversity in your life and that's why I brought up the story about that white leg being in the middle of that path I mean that was sudden and unexpected and caused me a a moment of fear it it put fear inside of me and that's kind of what you're going through right now some unexpected adversity has come into your life could be a medical diagnosis going through a divorce you got some Financial issue family issues could be your marriage could be your pregnant don't want anybody to know could be any of [Music] that and then last group I'm going to pray for is God has called you to lead like I said somebody here has been kind of sitting on the sidelines and they know God's called them you know and I I look at that sort of like how Moses in the Old Testament was when God was calling him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt first thing he said to God is I can't do that I'm slow as speak and with was given God every excuse in the book why he could not do it and God told him I'll give you the tools just go and do it and he kept arguing so I encourage you today stop arguing with God accept the path that he's given you and go forward so Heavenly Father we just praise you we honor you father God father God I'm just praying over the people that are in that position right now where they just feel like they're they just feel like there's this Darkness around them and there's no path forward father God your word said the steps of a righteous manner ordered by the Lord father God I just pray right now you order their steps to go in the right direction to remove that darkness that is around them Father God and Father God those that are going through unexpected adversities right now Lord Jesus they're scared father God father God they're in that position where they just don't know if they can survive but father God we know your word says that you'll never leave us nor forsake us father God you'll stand with us beside us and carry us through this season father God and father God I just pray over those that are that feel that calling in their life and been kind of afraid to move forward in doing something Beyond um just hanging out father God you called them to be into leadership uh run for public office get involved in in the political process father God I pray over them to just give them boldness father God boldness of the line father God father God that they will be able to stand up father God and said if the daer Schoolboard can do it so can I can stand up to Injustice can stand up to things father God that would come at them Father God just touch them a bless them Father God we praise you we honor you in Jesus name amen all right I'm going to close on this anybody that wants prayer anything I talked about you know pre come please come up and get prayer from from the prayer team up here um if you're here visiting I got some great great news for you um Colin should be here next week Pastor Colin so please come back and see him please don't be don't judge what this church is about huge influence in the West Valley and you guys are really just a part of it right you guys are just a piece of getting it up and running so I just want to encourage you guys just to get dig your feet thank you Father God you these School members we thank you father God they were and and their ground father God thank you for Father God we plead the blood of Jesus over even every single one of them shall prosper we pray for their families father God you you protect their families Lord God we pray father God that you have angels all around them wherever they go their family members father God their home H Lord God have Angels stand guard all around their homes Lord God we pray father God for favor we pray for wisdom and discernment father God we thank you for these ladies who who were bold and courageous father God we thank you Father God we thank you for them Lord God may they continue to lead father God with Godly wisdom father God surround them with with people who are Godly men and women father God that they would stand by them in the mighty name of Jesus we just thank you and praise you for these ladies father God thank you Lord we thank you Lord God we thank you Lord God in the mighty name of Jesus Amen we thank you Lord God for these ladies church we're living in some times that we are going to need to be bold and courageous amen so we just thank you Lord God we thank you Father God for every person here father God we thank you Father God that they came today Father God we pray you bless them Father God wherever they go today Father God may your face shine upon them Lord God we protect each and every person as they go their way Lord God we thank you and praise you father God in Jesus mighty name amen have a good week Church
