do this feel to to have a mission accomplished against the Colorado team I know it's been a bur and saddle in this program for a while yeah it's a big big big time win for us uh I think we're just all locked in for this week making this week about us and not them because we knew all the hype would be around them this week I think everyone kind of locked in and just focus on us and I think it came into fruition today on the field so the message like you guys defense is your strength and how important was it to finish the job in that second half when the offense wasn't as effective as they were in the first half yeah I mean that's the thing about a team is you always have the other sides back like if we're not doing well offense will have our back offense isn't doing well they we'll have their back so uh we count on them and they count on us so I mean that's just how it works we just got to step up and we're always ready for the challenge no matter what it is and yeah is that is that the kind of game that you wanted to come back for yeah yeah definitely I mean did that one mean more to you I mean it seemed like you were much more out there than you usually are yeah I mean I don't know I think uh I think I treated this game like any other game obviously but um the energy around this game was a lot bigger than most games I think uh just my opportunities came to play today and I made the play when I needed some examples of the crowd helping you guys yeah yeah I mean it was affecting me really at times too I could feel my brain buzzing around the whole time so I couldn't even imagine them trying to hear a call through the mic uh yeah it was crazy loud out there appreciate all the fans out there that showed up today I mean it was crazy environment so was that the best environment you played in um it's damn near it's close to it yeah I mean I'd probably say it's top two yeah maybe one probably best yeah yeah when you guys are um having you're feeling and especially in that first half I mean you're just teeing off and trying to get to the quarterback what is that like to be in that Groove when you know that you're just kind of pinning your ears back and getting to the quarterback uh I mean it's great feeling just getting to the quarterback and getting sacks like puts him back back even further for the next round obviously and makes it harder for their offense to get going so if we knock off their Rhythm then it makes it easier for us so I think that's that was really important today for us I mean I don't know how many sacks we ended up having but it was a lot yeah felt like more than that but yeah just getting all those sacks helped us Big Time hel them the negative rushing yards up until the fourth quarter when they got some garbage points feel like this is kind of the Tipping Point for your defense to really take that upper trajectory yeah I think so um I mean obviously there's a lot of stuff to build on um but we knew they weren't going to run it a whole lot or try to at least um we knew where they were more of throwing passing team so kind of counted on that but when you got guys that don't care what the play is and just fly around I mean obviously good things are going to happen that's what happened today we just knocked out the rushing and they couldn't Rush against us they had throw what was a performance like this just do for your confidence how do you build off this yeah I think it's it's big time just for me and for our team um I think uh yeah just making those plays kind of gave me that confidence that I can make those plays um I know I always knew I could it's just when I have the opportunity make just to make a play so yeah I would say my confidence is definitely growing from that that fourth down tackle for loss that you had um kind of what did you see there because that's kind calling a shot a little bit yeah I don't know it was fourth and one as soon as I saw a run I just triggered I saw the open Gap and I triggered and uh made a play you ended up and the back was right there when I got to The Back Field and just made a play so it's been a while since you guys been two and0 yeah um what's that like to to finally be in a position where you're in a position to really start getting on a roll here yeah man I mean it's ever since I've been here it's always been starting off crappy every year so just to be able to get a good start to season and get some momentum going into the other games these next games uh will really help us a lot as a team so get our confidence up the other fourman Rush being enough what does that allow guys second level to do when that is enough right yeah exactly I mean when you can Rush four guys and drop seven I mean it's beautiful because we don't have to do much if they're getting to the quarterback so um but if you're good in coverage and you're good pass for us which we were today um then there's nothing they can do against this thanks time
