AWFUL Coaching In Loss To Lynx Caitlin Clark & Kelsey Mitchell COOK For 44 Pts But Have No Help.

[Music] coach Brello has stuck with the starters for much of the second half here Danny Hamilton for three sack coach now awful coaching and loss to Links Caitlyn Clark and Kelsey Mitchell cook for 44 pts but have no help Caitlyn Clark and Kelsey Mitchell combin L for 44 points but lack of support and coaching Dooms fever in Lost to laks it was a tale of two superstars and a struggling team in the Indiana fever's latest defeat this time at the hands of the Minnesota links despite outstanding individual performances from Caitlyn Clark and Kelsey Mitchell the fever simply had no answer for the links falling 95 to 83 in a game that highlighted the teams continued wo the story of the game was undoubtedly the Stellar play of Cl Clark and Mitchell the dynamic duo combined for an impressive 44 points with Clark tallying 24 and Mitchell chipping in 20 they were the only two fever players to score in double figures as the rest of the team struggled mightily Clark in particular showcased her incredible Talent making contested shots and facilitating the offense however her efforts were hampered by a seeming lack of urgency and cohesion from her teammates time and time again Clark found herself picking up a dribble far from the basket with no one moving to provide an outlet the rest of the fever roster appeared content to stand and watch rather than actively seek to get open or create scoring opportunities this passive stagnant offensive approach was a major thorn in the fever's side all night their halfcourt offense was virtually non-existent reduced to Simply dumping the ball into the post and hoping for the best the team's inability to generate easy scoring chances or find open Shooters put an enormous burden on Clark and Mitchell to carry the load defensively the fever were also lacking they struggled to rotate and communicate leading to numerous open looks for the links Minnesota's players were often able to freely move the ball and find the open man exposing Indiana's defensive shortcomings head coach Christy Sid's inability to make effective in-game adjustments was also a glaring issue the fever once again started Ed slow falling behind early and then failed to find their footing in the second half this has become a concerning trend for Indiana as they seem unable to maintain their focus and intensity for the full 40 minutes the fever's rotation also raised some eyebrows as sides opted to limit the minutes of starters Katie Lou Samson and Aaliyah Boston who combined for just 24 minutes this decision left Clark and Mitchell overextended playing 38 in 34 minutes respectively the lone bright spot for the fever was the performance of Tammy Fong Bentley Who provided a much needed spark Off the Bench in just 16 minutes of action Fong Bentley recorded seven points and five rebounds showcasing the kind of energy and impact the team needs from its role players ultimately the fever's latest defeat highlighted the team's continued struggles and the need for significant improvements both in terms of personnel and coaching while Clark and Mitchell have proved and they can carry the team on their backs they can't do it alone the rest of the roster needs to step up and sides must find a way to better prepare and motivator team to compete at a high level for the full game as the season progresses the fever will need to address these shortcomings if they hope to turn things around and make a push for the playoffs the talent is there but the execution and coaching must improve for this team to reach its full potential [Music]
