well gaffa out of the carabal cup at the hands of Premier League side Fulham but your Lads have given it a right good go tonight yeah they did um they gave it everything they worked extremely hard um they left it all out there on the pitch and um they played a good game we were a better team um really a performance undermined by a poor decision um in the game which uh put us on the back foot when we started brightly um which I was extremely disappointed with um but we recovered well again a clinical finish with one of their I think the only two shots on Target and a really clinical finish uh for the second goal but again I felt a little bit against a run of play and and I thought we we were good we had good control of the game we we we we moved we looked very active we looked like we were trying to play forward and and be a threat we were switching the play and get to good positions in the final third so loads of good stuff and and actually to continue that after halftime throughout the second half as well I thought was really uh positive and it would have been easy when you welcome Premier League opposition to drop off to try and frustrate the opposition but we didn't see that and continued your Mantra of the season yeah I think um I think if you drop off and you you just sit back you're asking for trouble and it can get you know there's no right or wrong way to play football and I would never suggest that was the case but is there's the best way for us and this is the best way for us and it continues in line with how we train and and what we do every day um and we can take some of this into our next game you've had chances throughout the game kesi Anderson's flick gets cleared off the line vamson hits The Cross by as a chance lateer on as well you've created in the final third tonight yeah exactly I think like you say the bar the clear off the line and and and a few good moments and yeah I I think we created enough I suppose to to score a goal at least um but um but yeah we always want more but again I wouldn't take anything away from the players I thought they played a really good game and you've made substitutions in the second half to freshen it up you've made positive changes and sometimes that can affect the flow of the game but it didn't seem to have any drop off in performance no again I thought the lads that came on contributed well and it's about energy as well you know it's uh it's a high energy game we play we're not giving fullam time on the board with pressing them and being aggressive and you need to be able to run and and have energy for that so the lads that came on have to contribute and yeah they all they all did in their own way all had their moments um continued the performance level of the team didn't really drop um and um yeah fair play to the to the glass that came on and despite it being the first defeat since you joined the football club because of the nature of it can it still continue that momentum and take positives from the from the performance itself yeah I think you you can see the response from the fans ultimately they know what they're seeing they know what they're watching they know what they clubs about and what they want from their team and the ones that were still here have hung around to to applaud us and um you know you could sense that the feeling was pride in what they saw but frustration as always none of us want to lose we're here to we're here to win and it's it's it's never nice to lose but um I think we've seen enough tonight that's that can encourage everyone and we can stay uh positive and look forward to the next game and the beauty at this stage of the season is games are coming thick and fast in four days time we're back here again back in League one against Wigan Athletic side and a completely different challenge for for you to face yeah exactly and the most important thing to make clear to everyone here is that we've played a Premier League team and we we've we've we've had some really good spells but this game of the weekend is going to be extremely difficult it's going to be a big challenge for us we've seen already in the league um that you know it's fine margins um we've managed to get over the line but I I'm anticipating a really big Challenge and we're going to need to recover and be ready for that thank you g thank you cheers
