first at four there is still no decision yet on a Tulsa City Council election held two weeks ago thanks for joining us I'm Tatum Gwen and I'm Jonathan Cooper the outcome of the race was put into question after some people at a Precinct were not given city council ballots on Election Day news 960's Emory Bryant is live downtown with today's update hey Marie well Jonathan Tatum the judge decided today there were some irregularities in that election but has not decided if that was enough to order a new election the winner on Election Day and after a recount is Grant Miller but it was close 24 votes that would be plenty if not for a problem at the precinct on Election Day when an undetermined number of Voters did not get a city council ballot it could be as many as 35 it could have been zero to me to invalidate the votes of ten thousand Oklahoma voters or Tulsa voters on speculation and guesswork is not appropriate and the judge said today he was not ready to make a decision but said he would have a decision within two weeks Jonathan and Emery what happens if a new election is held well that would be in April of next year and the current city councilor Mikey arthro would stay in the office until then all right Emory Bryan live for us in downtown Tulsa this afternoon Emery thanks for the update
