Talking with New Washington DC Steve Belichick and for fans just getting to know this Washington team when you look at the coaching staff a couple of last names that we jump right out to you Pete Caroll and Bill bich both have sons who are now the coordinators here at Washington Brennan Carroll the offensive coordinator came with fish from Arizona and Steve belich who spent his entire career up to this point with the New England Patriots he was hired as the huskys defensive coordinator Jeran Yogi sat down with him to get his thoughts on this new challenge as he enters the college ranks coach I appreciate the time uh you've been around a bunch of great teams whether it's LaCrosse or when you played and of course recently coaching this is a team that that's coming together coming off an epic run what are some of the things that you've seen in your past that great teams always have and how is this team only a couple days into Camp though how have they started to build towards that uh yeah I mean I was fortunate to be on some good teams but um happy to be here with uh with these guys and um they've worked so hard since uh since I got here back in February um and I really appreciate how the guys work and um how excited they are eager to learn um it's been a blast yeah the work never stops I feel like in college football as well the Calendar's just kind of kind of crazy in some regard but a lot of times guys that come from the NFL to college they say kind of two things I think to both of us the hours are different in terms of the amount of time you could spend with players and then the hashes when you're calling in on defense how have you been able to navigate those two things in your role in college football uh yeah I mean you know the hours are what they are um schedule's a little bit different like you mentioned before for um the hashes are big uh big difference wider but um you know football's football um you still got to work on the fundamentals um have a good scheme be fundamentally sound and uh and the players got to play hard and and do their job but um it's definitely different but football is football so get it right to build on Yogi's question difference in the NFL scheme wise first and then how much you can do with the player second how is it different um yeah I mean you know the scheme's the scheme no matter M you know what level you are um you know we're at udub here so um this is our defense 2024 udub defense so um we're excited about it uh and happy to get going players how do you coach the players any different uh what's the similar between an NFL player and a college player um yeah um I mean these guys are are hungry to learn um they're trying to you know get to the next level um the guys who are in the NFL obviously are there and trying to stay there so uh I mean it's not too different I mean they're they're motivated and uh and like I said before they're eager to learn so um it's been fun working with them and uh the timing is definitely different obviously school they're in school and uh they're professionals when um when you're in the NFL but uh no spend a lot lot of time with those guys um you know in the classroom and um just teach them the best I can have you used any NFL cups to install uh yeah for sure I mean you know there's a lot of good tape out there um Pro College all that stuff so uh like I was saying about the fundamentals like you could see that um you know all over the tape so uh yeah we watch we watch a bunch of stuff depthwise what do you feel best about so far and where are you concerned that you have to build some depth during the camp um you know I mean I think that um we do have good depth uh you know the roster's kind of been building throughout the spring so um the guys who were here in February it's just kind of grown since then um now you know all the transfers all the freshman here so um I think we got good depth across the board um we got a lot of good players it's it's early on in Camp so open competition best guys are going to play and um they're all working really hard which makes for a good team just very competitive feels like NFL camps are much shorter these days than what a college Camp is no preseason games as we all know coach fish talked to us about mind time where like you try to pour into the guys and get to know what goes on in between somebody these ear what has it been like for you to share yours and then also learn from so many people that you're meeting for the first time yeah I mean uh relationships are huge right relationships are huge and um going out onto the field with a clear uh clear mind just helps you play faster helps you let loose um you know and and just be ready to go and not thinking about stuff off the field uh these guys got a lot going on just like everybody else um but getting to know them as a person and and figure out who they are and then you know building that trust just um brings you closer together and um you know the more that they trust you the closer you get and uh I've only been here since February but I think you know we're all building and getting to know each other better and I think it'll only keep growing yeah we are glad to be here to watch you guys get it going coach thanks for the time yeah no problem thank you we are looking at a clean slate here Talking with Washington QB Will Rogers and WR Denzel Boston in Seattle as Washington's first year head coach Jed fish needs to replace all 11 offensive starters from last year's National Champion Runners up a lot of that production in the NFL now Michael Pennock romad dun Jaylen pulk Jaylen McMillan all went in the first couple of rounds of the draft 10 huskys drafted overall but the coverboard is far from be Will Rogers the quarterback from Mississippi State who ranked second on the SEC all-time passing list is now a Husky and he's got plenty of Playmakers around him including the red shirt sophomore Denzel Boston a local Seattle guy who had to sit behind those three NFL receivers the last couple of years and they are kind enough to join us now gentlemen it's great to see you thanks for making some time I'm going to start with you the the transition and the excitement you really picked Seattle twice once when kayln noore was the head coach and again when Jed F fish took over yeah I mean it's kind of a crazy time you know uh deciding to enter the transfer portal after my season uh at Mississippi State and then uh committed to coach dor and uh coach grub and then you know kind of two weeks after I'm here after the National Championship uh they decided to do their own thing so uh you know I I had to enter the transfer portal to you know see what my options were after that cuz I didn't know the coach was going to be here and uh after I got a chance to sit down and talk to coach fish I realized this is the place I wanted to be yeah did Denzel call you and say hey let's go yeah I say I called him a couple times I called him a couple times making sure we had that QB situation straight yeah tell me tell me what it's been like I mean both you guys have such interesting stories in past you know you went to high school an hour away from here you're a husky at heart and I think when there was so much change from last year into this year you are now a veteran Mainstay in that wide out room so how are you feeling as you step into this new role you know I'm feeling good I feel I've been prepared over these last couple years especially being behind three NFL guys you know being able to learn from them and see how they lead and just be able to incorporate that into myself what advice have they given you cuz those were three of the best to do it you know the first is kind of just making sure you keep your composure you know a lot of people are going to look up to you and when they see you freaking out it's going to make a lot of other people freak out so keeping your composure is a big one I've taken away from them yeah chemistry is such a huge thing right talk about quarterbacks and and the targets and the guys making sure that you feel good both on and off the field so let's start with on the field how is that coming together how are you feeling comfortable in this new system no feel great I mean we've all we've all had to learn a new system obviously these guys were uh under coach greb the past two years and they knew the system but you know with with the coaching change and things like that and then me coming into a new scheme as well uh I mean we're all starting from scratch so uh having Denzel having JS having Jeremiah all those guys it's made my job a lot easier yeah it's nice when you got a six4 guy can catch those balls how uh tell me about from your perspective obviously you got to you got to catch passes from Michael penx the last couple years what has it been like with Will r on the show you know we'll run the show it's just great you know he has that initiative of a quarterback that you love to see you know directing people where to go making sure that everyone is on the same page so you know it's been great and you know when it comes to learning the new system you know everything's a little hard to do at first but once you get a hold of it and then you have a quarterback by your side that's making sure that you know we're doing the right things and staying on track of it makes it a lot easier so we mentioned the chemistry on the field but I think off of it is is where it starts and jetfish is good as anybody that I've been around in college football in terms of making sure that you guys have time to build up those personal relationships so just from your perspective again coming in and new to this program and and new to this staff what have you noticed about the intentionality around how he tries to make sure that you guys are getting to spend some time together me I think he's done a great job obviously it's like a really unique situation uh because you have guys from the University of Arizona Washington and then transfers like myself who are from a lot of different other places uh so it's kind of a weird situation especially with college football going on it's kind of The New Normal you know you have people from all over you know coming together uh but that's the that's the good thing about it you know that's what makes football so special uh so you know that's something that coach fish has done a really good job of of just trying to get guys uh together outside of the building you know come together come together as one team and uh you know play for the University of Washington there's so much change you mention in college football right now but one of the changes this season is going to be that the coaches can talk to the players in the headset um how is that going I was watching you out there today and and Jed fish is talking to you calling in the plays what are you hearing and and how will that Dynamic change the game for you yeah I mean it's different it's something that I've never really never really done you know obviously you see it on on Sundays with the NFL and things like that but you know I'm used to looking over the sideline and seeing you know three or four guys signal plays and now you know it's just coach coach in my ear telling me the play and then you know he'll give me a last second reminder or something like that so uh it's good it's kind of hard to hear you know it's like a walkie-talkie but uh once you get the hang of it uh I think I think it's going to be good at some point you're going to tell him to have to he's going to have to turn it down right you can't turn it off there's no on off I'm just worried about like hearing it like at Penn State or something like that so we we'll see how that goes which that is a game that we are all so excited to watch the white out uh in November but there's a lot of great action that's going to come before that can't wait to watch you guys and see how this thing comes together thanks so much for spending some time with us thank you appreciate it well a lot has happened over the last seven months here Talking with New Washington Coach Jedd Fisch in Seattle been a bit of a roller coaster 2023 was a magical season for the Huskies it ended in a loss to Michigan in the national championship for 4 days later kayin debor leaves to take over for Nick Sabin at Alabama and I'll tell you what Washington fans they were not in a good place but quickly things shifted when Jed fish got hired that was January 14th and after turning the program around at Arizona he begins his second head coaching stin the head coach of the Huskies joining us now Ashley Adamson Jerry dinardo coach it's great to see you and you know as you look at that timeline it's been a wild seven months for everybody but for you personally how has it been yeah well it's been uh it's been a lot you know there's a lot of transition going on right now moving a family up um meeting a whole new team building a team uh getting our staff together uh getting to you know meet our Administration and then really kind of become a part of the community so it's been a hectic six or seven months uh but we wouldn't uh we wouldn't trade it for anything and really excited about the chances that we have now to really build a great foundation and a great program here at Washington you called it the Trifecta of change because it's it's pretty much a new roster new coaching staff a new league and when you think about you saying that you didn't know what it was going to look like you've seen a lot of individual workouts but what was it going to look like as a whole so what have you learned now a few days into training camp that maybe you didn't know before yeah today was our first day in pads and uh shoulder pads and yesterday last last couple days we were in helmets and it's nice to see a whole team out there we we added 28 players from the last day of spring till today or till a couple days ago so to be able to see everybody participate and be able to see what it looks like to have a full offensive line and three full offensive lines uh that's probably the most substantial difference for us and then also just to be able to see the energy and the the enthusiasm of our team when they work together uh has been fun to see coach your this is your second head coaching job came from Arizona obviously what's different about being a head coach at a different School the second time uh a a lot uh in terms of you do feel like you kind of have the blueprint now of what you you want it to look like uh my first go around uh was a lot of first you know there was a lot of trial and error there's like I think this is going to hit and then maybe you see it didn't hit as well as you thought it would in a team meeting or in a messaging um the way we wanted to restructure or rebuild our building um the way we wanted to run certain schemes and what I thought was most important at that time was different than what I thought was most important this time uh certain things are also the same right the continuity is important the ability to um stay call in the place is really important to me to be able to continue on that role but um there was a lot of I'm glad that we had those three years to prepare us for this opportunity because this opportunity certainly um is a great Challenge and uh we're excited about it you mentioned calling plays uh not many head coaches call plays like you do and I know Steve spurry one of your mentors called plays but that was a different time and there were less pressures on the head coach in this kind of world in college football and nil and all the things that are going on coaching at a place that can win a National Championship they were one game away last year how can you continue to do that do you do you manage how do you manage your time yeah I think it for me it's it's where I bring the I feel the most Joy uh in the offensive uh game planning world and scripting and calling it and if we're going to preach to our team you know bring great joy every day uh I want to do the same and I know that that part of it is where uh my brain gets stimulated and also where I feel like uh puts a smile on my face um except for the three hours during Saturdays uh but you know I I do know that there's a lot of balance that has to happen you have to have a fantastic staff that you can rely upon um you also have to be able to have great Administration that you can rely upon to be able to help in some of the other facets but um I coach Spurrier has said to me for the last 20 years when you have this opportunity uh don't give up why you got this opportunity and uh when I saw him most recently Memorial Day He said the same thing he said now remember you got the job because of coaching offense don't miss out on the opportunity to coach offense have you thrown your visor as much as Steve used to throw it no I think I've calmed that part of it down uh nil transfer portal what's the appropriate way for a head coach like yourself going from one school to the next when players want to come with you yeah that's uh that's probably the greatest challenge of the the way the rules were structured especially at that time even though they constantly are changing is a lack of a communication and you really have to just kind of say here's our situation and if you do want to come that's going to be on you to make that decision and your decision to go on the transfer portal um I wish you could kind of give a little bit more of why um you took the job and why you think it would be a good opportunity for them but uh they don't allow you to do that and they don't want you to recruit uh necessarily your whole team from where you were so I think it was just a matter of um and everybody's gone through it I mean Brent brenon is going through it from his San Jose team Kaylin's gone through it from his Washington team that there's that fine line and fine balance of you know players commit a lot of times to a coaching staff and then those players are going to be the ones that have to uh just decide to pick up and go Jonah Coleman one of the players that came with you from Arizona and got a chance to talk with him at media days in India last week and he really talked about it's been cool to see cuz he said I I knew who jedf fish was I knew who the staff was but to watch the transformation since you and the staff have gotten here he said everything's better the food's better the facilities you're going through a $20 million upgrade there but the leadership development program that we saw you put in place at Arizona that we know is a big part of what you do in the culture can you kind of share a little bit about what goes into that and what you've seen from this current group yeah well we like to say everybody knows what nil is but I don't know how many people know what L is and that's our leaders in life and we believe that it's our responsibility as coaches and as our responsibility as a program to try to develop and create leaders um so we've invested a lot of time and money into that we uh we have a great group out of Houston that I use um Brad dier is our leadership coach and uh We've created a whole fifth quarter room which is when the game's over what are you going to do with your life and we try to believe that we can build Unity that way we can team bonding that way and help these kids um really learn and create um a life outside of football that'll be able to help them for years Jed there's so much that we could ask you about we could go up and down the roster but we are going to be respectful of your time because we know you got a lot going on but thanks for joining us we're we're excited to watch this team come together this season and we look forward to seeing you thanks for having us out here thanks coach yeah thank you I appreciate it thanks for coming out taking a closer look at Brennan Carroll's resume Washington's offensive Talking with New Washington OC Brennan Carroll coordinator and offensive line coach under Jed fish he was in Seattle coached under his dad with the Seahawks from 2015 to 2020 he started his career in La at USC as a grad assistant and most recently he was with jedf fish in Arizona as the OC and the o line coach but now a new chapter back in Seattle a place he knows well and ready for a fresh start for Mo Yogi and Jerry are with the Huskies new OC all right with offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Brenan Carol Yogi Roth Coach Jerry dinardo all right coach Carol you've been a part of year ones before right whether it was Miami Arizona now here at udub you're part of a rebuild and an offensive line with the Seahawks post a couple Super Bowls how have you attacked this new opportunity on the offensive side and then of course on the offensive front uh we've been lucky enough uh this fall Camp to have some competition so uh that's kind of the central theme of the program we're probably going to always rely on that uh like we did uh this first couple days so far we did the same thing when we were in Seattle um we brought in a couple new guys and gave those guys shots to get on the field early same thing we did uh at Arizona we had a bunch of young guys get in there and play so um it's some great competition a lot of uh a lot of guys flying around couple different spots so uh we're excited to see how that all pans out okay so let's talk about the the central theme of the program I I saw the bag drill as practice starter coach those like the first drill we ever did we were back at SC back in the day uh how have you seen that truly become a part of the ethos of this program because it's not like you've been here for years and how have the guys who came off a national championship app parents truly made this a part of their day-to-day yeah uh the guys have first of all been fantastic uh they've totally bought into what we've done um it took a little time to to earn their trust um but as we've gone through the spring as we going through the summer conditioning uh the guys have absolutely bought in they these guys love to play football they're great football guys um they're going to have great Futures in this sport one way or another um and they just trust what we're doing so they're flying around having fun um great energy today um on a little bit of a scorcher up here in Seattle coach your offensive staff's been together since coach fish became a head coach at Arizona uh take us on the sidelines during the game he's play call which is unusual obviously for a head coach what's he like on Game Day calling the place uh it's a blast it's uh I say that it's exciting because anything can happen uh but uh he's uh he's been doing this a long time um and since he's had the staff together um we're all there we kind of know what's going on so we're we know what to expect um and we know that uh we got to be ready for anything um we can get in a lot of different personnels a lot of different formations uh a lot of different sets a lot of different calls um but uh you know because we've had that familiarity we've been able to uh you know support each other like that so it's been great it probably also helps that will has played so many games in college football that you can do those type of things has has Will Rogers given you an edge that you can put more in say than a younger quarterback uh I would I would say so because of his experience um and his familiarity with the college sport that uh he's got a he has a great recall um he's been able to learn our system complete new verbiage over the last uh six seven months however long it's been um but he's done a great job just to happen to it and then now we're starting to have little tweaks in there where he can he can make special checks uh if he sees something he doesn't like he knows how to avoid that so uh he's now getting into kind of the second uh second third levels of this offense so it's pretty special where do you feel best about your offensive depth and where are you concerned about your offensive app uh yeah our running back position is um is something that looks pretty special um it looked great today uh had a couple nice runs out there um those guys are very versatile can do a bunch of different things the receiver cor is really solid got a buch of big bodies out there um so we're uh we're excited to see how uh that group develops um the tight end group is uh is we've added a couple bodies to that group too so it's it's a large group right there so um something we would like to kind of develop into a little more 12 Personnel two tight end sets um during the season so excited to see that group um obviously we talked about the quarterback group and the o l the was the unknown in Spring and they've made some great improvements um just in the first couple days so we're still work in progress It's got a long way to go but um it's been fun it's been fun coming to this University for years because there's been Stars they've had star power I think now after watching practice you look at Denzel Boston you say can he be the star Jonah Coleman he is an absolute star you look in the offensive line and guard memar he might be that voice on the offensive front are those three guys are they emerging to that are you guiding them to that are they saying no we're going to be the voices among this program right there's some gentle nudging but but we want to uh we w't let those guys find their own voices their own way um and if you if you force it sometimes it doesn't work out the way you want to but uh they've done fantastic they've been uh fantastic in their own position groups and they're starting to work into the other groups and uh we're actually going to do uh some activities tonight to kind of uh continue that growth so um kind of excited for that too yeah it was exciting for me I saw familiar face on the sideline guy you know you call Dad I call the coach or boss way back in the day but but what is that like uh having your father Pete Carol here at practice of course he's local but now within this job like he used to come in in Spring and see you here and there but now he just drive across the bridge and come watch practice uh yeah the 20 bridge is going to get a couple extra toll bills so uh but it's great it gives him something to do you know get out of the house a little bit um you know give him he's got a lot of free time right now so uh yeah it's great that he get to come on by and hang out um he's been a great uh sounding board for uh me and the staff uh as we've gotten started um and it's just great having around all right great having you around and great I know jar you love being around here this weather's pretty good now absolutely and I love the offensive line coaches the offensive coordinator that's a great path yeah it's former o linan right here coach Renardo there it is keep nudging keep keep nudging them talk about all the new faces here in Washington 28 Talking with CB Ephesians Prysock and Alphonzo Tuputala transfers in just behind Indiana for most of any big 10 school there are 42 scholarship players here in Seattle who were not on the roster when they played Texas in the Sugar Bowl so a lot of new pieces coming together we heard from Steve belich earlier about how he wants this defense to look so let's hear from the players now Yogi is with Alfonso chupala and Ephesians pryck all right Ephesians let's talk about you and your journey here you've got a bunch of guys that came up with you from Arizona and of course with the staff and Jed fish what have you taught the guys that were at ubb or the new players that came here about this system about this coaching style as someone who experienced it firsthand uh well it's just a NFL scheme uh it's just you be putting places that you haven't been and uh just learn all positions that's what I say for you it's your sixth year M it's been I don't think you had any more eligibility after this but to that point how did you make sure that some of these new faces there's so many new players understood the history and the culture Behind the Walls that you helped build yeah no that's a big thing especially for me someone that's been here for a while um bringing in the new guys the guys from Arizona but also new transfers just connecting them and constantly building that culture that when I came in you know that Brotherhood and being able to be connect inside of here but outside as well it goes a long way when you're on the field and so that's what what we just try to do just continue to build on that and just encourage each other throughout whatever we do lifs the game or whether we're outside we were talking to coach belch earlier we talked about the Mind time that jet has referenced or how you're trying to get to know one another what has it been like for you getting to know a bunch of new faces as well uh it's been good cuz I've been talking to a lot of the offensive guys and just getting to know them cuz when I first got here I couldn't do much with the team until uh like the start of Spring ball so then I was just trying to get to know those guys once we could do things together so I got to learn a lot about the uh offensive guys the defensive guys that I'm going to play with so it's been great and and for you just getting to know the staff right Jay Rich comes over who you're very familiar with and John Richardson coaching the secondary but for you new coaches coaching you what has it been like and take us inside the mind of Steve Bel it's been crazy so this is probably my fifth coaching staff um being able to go through all those different coaches I've learned a lot and Coach bich he's like they asked me out there what is he I I told him he's a coach but he's also like a brother at the same time you know when it's time to go over ex's and those we're all in on that Focus he helps me out tells me what I need to improve on in terms of my knowledge of the game but then also he talks about you know how's my life outside of here what are my favorite hobbies or we just joke around stuff like that so he's he's a great guy to being around you guys are accustomed to being around big time people in sport right at Arizona jet head somebody from the NFL it seemed like they're every single week today P Carrol at practice Bill B's been at practice what has that been like for you you someone who aspires to play at that level uh it's been great man just to come out there and have something to compete for every day and uh just to be around those type of people that he brings in the building is just great we saw coach Fisher's t-shirt today it said the top 25 on it one through 25 and then in big bold and purple it said where's Washington yeah what's the chip like with this team who competed for the national championship last year and now everybody just keeps using the word rebuild or retool around your program I feel like that's always been a thing here for Washington we don't really care or look towards the outside noes all we can do is focus on ourselves but always having that chip is some since I've came here has always been a thing with this program and I think that's one of the greatest things because we're always elevating chasing the team that we want to be and just not proving everybody wrong but really proving ourselves you know we could be that team we could be that team who we aspire to be and how we work and the team that we try to be so that's I think that's how we approach it every day yeah the history here is beautiful especially at corner you think of Kevin King Sydney Jones Trent McDuffy and now yourself have you either connected to some of the past or you how aware of you are the past here at corner in that position what it's been able to do very aware I'm uh trying to get to learn about those guys a little more and then trying to get to meet them sometime cuz I know we have a lot of different uh events where they come back and different things like that so I'm trying to you know what I'm saying trying to get to uh meet a lot of those dudes I heard that uh for you guys new schedule new season but a lot of new $20 million upgraded in this facility I know you haven't seen the weight room yet but what you have seen what has it been like and what's the anticipation like for you and some of your teammates I think for me it's it's kind of crazy because I've seen the stadium one way for a while and so seeing you know the upgrades and the thing that that coach is doing is really great especially for the next chapter of guys to come the Next Generation to you know help help them succeed in whatever way they can whether it's on the field stuff recovery and I'm just happy to see it all happen into into the picture that coach fish is painting so just happy for that I cannot wait to see how this picture continues to develop Alonso tatala Ephesians price act to the best players not only udah but I think in the entire Big 10 fellas thanks for the time appreciate it appreciate it a terrific day here in Final Thoughts from Washington Seattle as we got a chance to check out the Huskies as we make our third stop on the training camp tour and there are a lot of moving pieces and a lot of excitement to see what this all going to look like on August 3st when Weber State comes to town you can see that game on the Big 10 Network as you take a look at the 2024 schedule we've actually got the first two games on our air and then it's their old rival Washington State that'll be alumin field looking forward to that and then we get into the Big 10 schedule with Northwestern Yogi what stands out to you well I'm looking forward to the back half after a buy SC at home and then for the white out at Penn State like James Franklin we asked him immedia days can you just can you give you dub a break and he goes no no way we decided this was it they're the defending a team that went to the National Championship we wanted to make sure it's a special environment and I have a feeling it's going to be pretty special there for that thing Ash I think it is too and and as we just you know put a bow on this thing gentlemen it was it was a great day to be out here and I think there's so much that we still don't know about this squad right the Jed fish doesn't know about this squad but as you look forward they're picked 10th in the Big 10 which for a team that played in the national championship you think okay that's that's a little low what do you think about this team what are your expectations for Washington and what are you looking forward to seeing they actually kick off you know we've talked a lot about the coaches right we've talked about fish we've talked about bellich we we've talked about all the big names Carol you look at their schedule I see five matchup opponents I don't see why this team with we watch today if they get better if they stay healthy if they if they improve they can start the season off 5-0 because those are five matchup opponents so let's not get distracted with the x's and the O's we can say that you know this is a incredible staff but there's a lot of incredible staffs in the country they' they've got to play their best the first five games against teams that don't have any better Talent than they do yeah this is the thing that I'm really looking forward to it's been rebuild rebuild rebuild how many times do we hear that word whether it was at media days or in advance of the season and I get it 44 new scholarship players 13 via the transfer portal post Spring football but after being out of practice and getting to know jet fish and the staff they're going for it like this is is not rebuild mentality this is not hey let's slow down and take our time no no this is a detailed specific approach where they have continued to Echo this phrase of the players the way you do small things the way you do all things they are chasing this thing so make no mistake about it husky fans like the gas is down and to your point they got a chance to catch a little lightning in a bottle if they can make some moves here in the next 30 days and get this team to Peak Performance by the time they start games but it's not necessarily going to be the ex's and O's it's going to be it's going to be the execution it's going to be the health of this team and they can be five and0 after five well I think in this day and age too when you think about the goal to make it to the college playoff and I mean teams are going to be playing a lot more games than than they used to and so it's that depth and can you stay connected and healthy at the right time and all the way through a very long season one final thought for the new Big 10 fans who are going to for the old big 10 fans that are welcoming in a new team to the fold what do they need to know about Washington football Yoles it's the greatest setting I'll say that come on you saw it today at practice it's beautiful here and this is going to be a fun build for Jed fish they're going to be in position to compete for big 10ed championships I think next year and moving on into the future I think it's a beautiful place I think the fans and the alums of University of Washington have a lot to be proud of and I think Jed fish is going to be one do one heck of a job here yeah it it's going to be fun to watch this thing it was fun to watch today our thanks to ubb and everybody the terrific staff here and my thanks to you guys it was fun hanging out with you two and now we've got one in the books so one in the books we're not rookies anymore more fun hanging out with you y he was okay he was here he
