Why do I love my sport? When I found Judo,
the act of putting your hands on someone and being able to do judo
like anyone else, with any partner was magical. I could easily integrate myself
with abled bodied people. It's a sport, that has a set of values, a moral code and the sport accepted me. The first thing you learn in judo is how to fall and get back up. And that's something important
in everyday life, both literally, and figuratively. Whether it was Athens, Beijing or Tokyo, these finals were defeats. You win the medal in the semis, you know that if you win the semi final you either get the gold medal, or the silver. But actually finishing on a defeat and losing the gold was something difficult to take
because you end on a disappointment, on a defeat. The cruelest defeat I think was Tokyo, I really
didn't understand it as I dominated that match. Rio, that was the crowning achievement, it's the medal that was missing from my record, it was magical. Reuniting with my family especially my son who was in the stands, my daughter was too young, we couldnβt bring her, as she was only two years old. But yes, itβs an unforgettable memory. It's my best memory, up until now. It's the crowning achievement. It's the dream for an athlete. So it's going to be something extraordinary. We will respect the values of the Paralympic movement. The games at home, we have a real springboard
to do something big here. And in our hearts we have the desire to perform, and to be able to maximize this opportunity.
