surveillance footage has surfaced showing what appears to be gang activity at a Colorado apartment complex the video captured by cameras at the site reveals a group of heavily armed men three carrying handguns and one with a rifle entering a troubled apartment building in Aurora a suburb of Denver and breaking into a unit the footage was recorded shortly before a violent shootout at the complex which resulted in one Serious injury and multiple Vehicles being damaged DED by gunfire the group involved is suspected to be Tren de araga or TDA a transnational gang from Venezuela known for its violent criminal activities and the motto real until death TDA is reported to have approximately 5,000 members residents of the Aurora complex have expressed frustration with what they perceive as inadequate police response to the gang's activities which reportedly include sex trafficking and drug dealing many feel abandoned and unsafe one resident shared her distress saying I hope the police do something because they could have helped me get out literally their answer for me was you ever think about moving that's what they told me when I was like and I started crying another Resident who recently moved out with local official assistant expressed disappointment in the police's lack of action stating I literally had to borrow from everybody I know to get into a new place and it's every bit of money I had in response Aurora Police released a statement on X asserting that reports of TDA influence in Aurora are isolated Denver Police informed Fox 31 that they were not aware of any Gang Related apartment takeovers in the area meanwhile on August 29th Aurora Mayor Mike Kaufman told Fox 31 morning that he is investigating the origins of these alleged gangs noting I think we know these gang elements are attracted to concentrations of Venezuelan migrants unfortunately there is a lot of criminality in Venezuela
