This out of the Inland Empire National Guard troops have been deployed to help fight the line. Fire in San Bernardino National Forest. And also to help secure evacuated neighborhoods. This is the largest wildfire in our area right now. Mario Ramirez is here with more on the guard and what progress has been made on this fire. Mario. Good morning. That's right. National guard troops helping on the ground as well as with some aerial suppor. There is concern this morning that the fire could begin to spread towards Big Bear Valley, putting thousands more people in danger in the coming days. The Line fire has burned over 26,000 acres. Right now it's at 5% containment, running, burning, I should say, in the foothills and mountain region east of San Bernardino, near Highland and west of Big Bear. Evacuation orders in place for over 8000 structures and another 29,000 under evacuation warnings. California National Guard troops have now moved in to the area to assist the sheriff's department with evacuations and traffic control. All the law enforcement officers and the National Guard are going to treat your homes just like we treat our own homes. I can you can be rest assured that if anybody comes out attempts to loot in this county, they will be arrested and they will be prosecuted. At least 80 Cal Guard troops were deployed along with four Blackhawk helicopters and two cargo planes used for water and retardant drops. The conditions have also led to school districts canceling classes in the area, including rim of the World Unified. Bear Valley Unified, and the Redlands Unified School District. Meanwhile, the line Fire continues to burn between both major roads into the mountain communities there. Highways three, 30 and 38, which are seeing closures this morning.
