good evening crew uh the my number one responsibility first and foremost is to be responsible for all losses so uh you know uh tonight you know we had a couple busted coverages early you can't do that with a good football team uh didn't like the way we tackled I didn't like the way we covered um you know we had a couple errors you know obviously and uh in some protection so you know when you get to the football game like this and you see how it turned out you know obviously very very good football team on the other end but uh I wish we would have showed a little bit better uh so you know first and foremost I'm I'm G I'm going to take that for myself and we'll work on this bye this upcoming by week and then next week when we get ready to DET try to be a much much better football team moving forward we we've done it before you know I mean you know we got a cam Ward who's obviously gonna be a first- round pick in this upcoming draft but you know two years ago we played against Drake May another guy that was a you know for upcoming first round pick so you know you you just you knew there was a couple situations where you know get out of them it's a much much different football game but you you can't bust coverages right you can't you can't give up third Downs you know we just have some situations where if we if we take advantage of what we are supposed to be doing you know you probably have a different outcome but good football team on the other side you know Chris coach Chris Ball do an amazing job you know they got some good football players but but I but I know we have some very very good players as well sometimes just like are different you know they're a little different today you know uh shouting on them big crowd uh you know big big time foot football game in a big time spot you know we we gave up a touchdown you know on a basic coverage early you know those those aren't coverages that we normally below so you know again uh yeah they you know you got you with mistakes you have to take advantage uh University of Miami did a very very good job of taking advantage of those mistakes you know and and then obviously you know the number one makes plays uh he buys time and and uh you know when we thought we were doing some good stuff you know he did a great job so you know again good football team number one number one is the Difference Maker and but overall coach Chris Ball done a great job you know coach Mel's offensive line coach coach gri as a defensive coordinator man they got a great staff great football team and uh you know this this going to be this going to probably be a team that that does some damage you know in the playoff run we going to correct right we'll get back we'll get back tomorrow we'll work on our Corrections you know we got a bu week so you know we got some guys that were banged up you know we you know we if you if you Lo if you look at our lineup today we you know we we didn't probably travel our best 70 right we had about three or four guys that were missing whether they made a difference or not I don't know but uh you know we got to get back and take a look make our Corrections and then just just get healthy and just start start from scratch as we get as we get into this by week right so you know we had some we had some blown coverages on some on some basic things that we traditionally over the last couple years have done really really well with but you know Restrepo and Ward caught us on the mistake you know you you know how our defense is we don't give up 50 yard touchdown passes with guys wide open so you know again we'll get back we we'll we'll we'll evaluate we correct put some guys in the right spots and uh and then look you know hey we lost to a team that's probably going to be in the playoffs right so you know is there is there any humility with that no our team you know we we had won 13 games straight football games so this isn't a bunch that's used to losing and especially losing like this but uh you know again guys we had we had in the locker room guys were up eat they understand that you know they understand the mission right getting ready to try to get ready for swack swack swack our swack run but uh you know again did we lose yes are we happy about it no but we got we got some things we got to work on and the guys are aware our guys are aware of that as well as our coaching staff power four or not I mean we we can't be diving at ankles on tackles power four or not we we can't we can't be having gold coverages with poor eyes you know power four or not when we're supposed to contain we got to contain you know so I mean there were some things where you know that that they did well they did better than us right but we we tackling has been an issue for us over the last two or three weeks we got to continue to work on that you know but our offensive line you know going against their defensive line yet they had a bit of advantage and at times they may have been better than us on on some occasions right but you know how we play and the way we've been playing football not containing missing tackles not communicating you know I know you guys have been around our football team for a long time and those aren things that we do you know and tolerate so those are the things that we need to get back doing you know when cam W being cam W no there's no there's not a lot we can do on that but guys running down the field wide open and US leaving our feet tackling you know that that that can't be that's non-negotiable so those are some things that we got to definitely make sure we work on we kept playing we kept coaching you know I mean our guy our guys didn't back down you know they when they went to their subs as as did we and uh but you know I appreciate the guys for continuing the fight you know what I mean but but believe it or not I mean you know there there are some guys that are are angry about how they play obviously you know I I'm with him on that you know but I I do think we could have done some better things throughout the football game put us in a much much better situation and and we didn't do that you know we talk about situational football we weren't very good on third down get our CH give give our chance to get ourselves off the field you know I mean obviously our field goal team we had three kicks you know they they made those but listen listen we we we have a standard that's over here we did not uphold that standard you know the standard is we 300 yards right we want to make sure we get over 300 yards offense offense we want to make sure we keep them under 300 yards we want to make sure we keep them under 100 yards rushing we want to keep them under 15 points so we have standards we did not meet that standard so you know we know we got to get back and correct and assess that's that's what we I think that's what we do a very very good job of and we'll continue to do that tomorrow e
