To our southeast, an upper level low is moving west into the Texas gulf coast. This low is expected to continue moving west into southern Texas through tomorrow. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop around this low, with some potentially affect areas south and east of an Ozona to San Angelo to Brownwood line Monday afternoon, along with another few degrees of cooling across the area underneath lower heights, and increased low level moisture. && .LONG TERM... (Monday night through next Sunday) Issued at 101 PM CDT Sun Aug 25 2024 An upper level low will move onshore the middle Texas Coast on Monday, then across West Central Texas Tuesday, and finally weaken and move west of the forecast area on Wednesday. This low will serve to bring an increase in rain chances along with a decrease in temperatures. Temperatures on Tuesday will be near seasonal normals, in the 90s. Overnight lows will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Rain chances on Tuesday will range from likely across the I-10 corridor to slight chance across the I-20 corridor. On Wednesday, isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are again possible on Wednesday, mainly south of I-20.
