Chattanooga police rushed to the scene of a shots fired call on M Nikola highway this afternoon good evening I'm Calvin Sneed I'm Kim Chapman the call ended differently than July 16th but with the memory fresh in everyone's minds police took no chances responding to the call News Channel Nine's drew Belaya was there this morning when police went back to the reserve center again police responded with everything they've got this morning when a shot fired call came in to the Naval Operations and Reserve Center off of am nicola highway while there were eerie similarities and feelings the outcome and the result are completely different tense moments and uncertainty in a familiar place we responded very very robustly and aggressively as we always do when our community is at risk everyone in uniform was sent to the Navy Operational Support Center on am nicola highway for a shots fired call that's the same location where five service members were shot and killed on July 16 given the nature of the location we are being extremely cautious and responsive it's at the scene of an attack upon our Armed Forces personnel so we have a heightened sense of awareness Chattanooga State was put on lockdown after a similar call came from their campus it's possible they heard the same shot now unlike July 16th today there are fewer guns drawn faces show less worried we have not received any word of anybody seeing somebody shooting or where the weapon simply a couple of calls of shots fired patrols were sent to Chattanooga State and the military recruitment centers on Lee Highway it is our commitment that everybody be safe regardless of where they work player resign police spend more than two hours sweeping the area around the Riverwalk before giving the all-clear in Chattanooga drew Belaya News Channel nine
