Good Monday afternoon, Houston K two U 11. Meteorologist Kim Castro, an update with Francine, it's tracking towards the east. This is good news for Texans. However, although the main impacts are expected to be felt in Louisiana, wrap around rain bands are going to have implications along our coastline. So let's start with future track radar. This is a snapshot at 1130 on our Tuesday morning, widespread downpours expected for Galveston for chambers in Brazoria. Notice this lasts through tomorrow evening as the system gains momentum and starts to push towards Louisiana making a landfall sometime between Wednesday morning and early Wednesday afternoon. You'll notice the threats for Houston start to go down. So scattered storms Tuesday all day may be lingering into Wednesday morning for our coastal areas. We've got the threat for elevated tides, storm surge and coastal erosion. Make sure you watch the forecast. This isn't set in stone so that cone could still shift as it stands. Future track models are showing the majority of the energy again towards our east. However, a lot of those wrap around rain bands could have heavy downpours could have some gusty wind and could certainly lead to some coastal floods concerns notice it starts to move through Harris County by the afternoon and scatter downpours possible into the evening even into Wednesday too, the time frame may shift. So we may have to adjust this a little later or a little earlier. That's just the big picture that majority of the impacts are gonna be along the coastline and inland areas shouldn't have too much rainfall accumulation. So because of that, the coast is under a flood warning, Matagorda is under an advisory which is a step down from a warning. However, all of the coast should be uh on high alert for the potential of these downpours causing issues. No concern. Today tomorrow, it's a level two threat for the coast notice. Harris County is included in that level two threat at least the southeast portion of it marginal risk for the rest of the county. And then on Wednesday, those threats start to squeeze a little bit further towards the east. Still looking at a level two thread for Poke Liberty, a portion of Harris Chambers, Galveston and Brazoria counties. We're under two weather impact alert days, Tuesday and Wednesday, rain could cause an issue could cause an issue with street flooding could cause an issue with coastal erosion. So watch the forecast and get ready and get your supplies ready. Today is a quiet day. So make sure you've got enough food and water in case we see any shift in the track, make sure you've got all your emergency, uh, materials gathered, fill up your car, do your laundry in case we lose power or lose water. Some, anything like that. You might want to just get ahead of this afternoon. The high temperature peaks at 89 degrees. We're gonna see plenty of sunshine. A few clouds filtering in, but I don't think the rain starts to get going until tomorrow. Your Tuesday rain cast looks like this. I think it starts to spike by two o'clock all in all. I'm putting tomorrow at an 80% chance to see showers and storms. My chances again on Wednesday, the timing of this is still up for debate but both days I need you to be really in tune with the forecast. It's why it's a weather impact alert day. These two days are gonna be important in that seven day forecast. Beyond that, the rain chances really start to scale back and then we'll see those temperatures start to.
