A great March madness match up comes to uptown tomorrow. I can hardly believe here. It's going to be here in Charlotte. Right. Yes, they're two of the most recognizable programs in the NCAA tournament. Yes, we mentioned they're gonna meet tomorrow night in uptown Charlotte and sports director, Nick Carboni has a preview of North Carolina and Michigan State. This is not your standard second round. Match up. The tar heels and Spartans have found themselves in the final four a combined 17 times since 2000 a win here on Saturday night sends either one of them to the sweet 16 in Los Angeles. Tom Izzo in March is no myth. The Michigan State coach has guided the Spartans the tournament 26 straight times. He's won 56 tournament games. That's fifth all time. But Izzo in March against the tar heels. That is a different tale. He's zero for four. And as a program, the Spartans are 0 to 5 against UN C. That includes the last time they met in the tournament, the 2000 championship game which Carolina won by 17 points. That of course was under Roy Williams Izzo now faces Hubert davis' tar heels and he was asked the difference, Hubert doesn't wear those argyle, uh, golf, uh, sweaters that Roy wears. And, uh, you know, I, I'm sure he puts his own mark on it, but I'm sure that he does a lot of things. Like, you know, his mentor is Roy for Davis. His heels returned to the tournament after missing out last year. The one seed in the west is on a quest to return to the championship game and win it. He's got a group of experienced players with key transfers and some four year tar heels like RJ Davis and Armando Bacot. This group from the start has just enjoyed being together. The chemistry with this group is real. It's been nice to be around. Well, speaking of chemistry, NC States got plenty and they gave plenty to Texas tech last night in the paint dominating the Red Raiders. The Wolf pack now face out of nowhere. Oakland who beat Kentucky last night on the line, a trip to the sweet 16 who would have thought for NC State more from the wolf pack and the tar heels coming up at six o'clock.
