[Music] we talk about global appeal as a South African I know that this is the game doesn't matter how many millions of miles away you are from Old Trafford which is where it's being staged on Sunday people come to a standstill to watch this and that gave us an element an idea of just how big it is globally 100% this is one of the biggest games in World football and for somebody like myself who played for Man City I used to say oh United vers City that's the big rivalry not really and even from this side of Man City and Liverpool now you think that's a biger rivalry what this one between United and Liverpool it just it's more historic it's got more sort of like bigger memories to it and the two sets of supporters and clubs like they do hate each other you know this is one of the reasons why there are many players that have happened to play for both I know this the show sometimes have someone that has in Michael Owen but I think outside there him there Paul L and I can't think of many others there's something about how if you play for one there's no way on this Earth you even consider playing for the other they will never forget you so this is a huge game and it's so early in the season it's like a real blessing to have this in the Premier League doesn't even matter where they are what they chasing it doesn't matter if they're chasing titles if they doing well if one of them is not having a great season like we saw with the Manchester United last time out doesn't matter that United lost last weekend does it no it's like I said it's one of the biggest games in the world and even when I was in different parts of the world in Asia doesn't matter what time it was Man United Liverpool this game they would have watched it regardless of what happened the week before season before or 10 season before it's all about the here and now and whoever wins that game this weekend they're The Talk of the Town so it's it's a massive game and you can't really underestimate how big it is until you see like You' have seen in America different parts of the world that it's watched absolutely everywhere so we're going to hear from Eric tenh in a moment but first Liverpool boss on a slot has been talking about his new signing from Juventus Italian Striker Federico Kiza hi um we've been waiting for news on Scott mctom and Manuel aarti for a couple of days now I know there's not been any official announcement but can you update anything yet it looks like you know you know everything so yeah so Simon I can't tell you more than you already know and so it's not completed yet um but the deadline closes at 11:00 so presumably you expect it to be completed we expect it but I can't confirm it by now can you also update what the situation is with jden Sano he's playing our Squad and well we are happy with him and we need a good squad we need dep in the squad uh we have to play many games um till January um so the the new format of of Europe uh so after the break we will play every third game so we need absolutely options and so you expect him still to be here after this evening as I know [Music] yeaha Eric what's the latest with Rasmus hland and when can we expect him back in first team training after the break but when after the Break um I think yeah it's three weeks from now and we have to see how it develops how we can progress in the during the break to to get metch fit but so he he returned on the pitch but yeah it will take a while before he's up because everyone have seen happens in the first game so he need also co- up and build some Fitness I know you can't confirm anything but you would have seen the scenes yesterday of Scott mctom at Naples airport getting a very warm welcome by the fans was that a nice thing for you to see massive smile on his face him being so welcomed so quickly um it's a little bit mixed I'm very happy for him and um it's also for us uh because but it's mixed because I wouldn't prefer to to lose him because he is man united in every Fame he was so important for our team for Manchester United he was here for over 22 years but yeah unfortunately it's the rules and we have to discuss the rules when yeah you have to do do sales and then obviously homegrown players so Academy players yeah they bring more value and that's not the right thing to do but yeah I think U for everyone for all parts it's it's a good deal for Scott he's happy with it uh of course for na very good play but also for usate Eric looking ahead this weekend then what is the team news heading into Liverpool what do you mean with team news you want you want to have the lineup I in an ideal world yet but I don't think you're going to give us that um are we looking at the same again or do you have more options this weekend no we have so am Mount we all have seen uh he's not available uh for the weekend and then yeah that's I think that's it and for the rest is the the same Squad as last week and with Liverpool in mind obviously you had two good games against them at Old Trafford in the league and Cup last year is it a tie that excites you coming so early in the season and what differences have you already seen in the way Anna slot lines up his team it's it's always when Liverpool comes it's it's very exciting and we are really looking forward U to compete with them um so we have a we have a good squad we can bring a good team out of course it's early in the season we have to progress we have to improve uh also because we have to integrate some some new players in but yeah we are really looking forward for this game uh Neil what are you getting with the new player that you maybe didn't have with Scott why have you sort of made the change with the new play to make the change I think you can't I don't uh it's not a comparison it's not and that you can compare those two players because are different players but so we had three number 10 and we didn't had um any more holding midfielders apart from we had one so that is the idea behind D said the U draw regarding the trans window let's see what happens the window is still open we have some conversations going on do you think there'll be any more incomings or do you think the next player will be the final player come in that's what then as what said everything so I I don't have to um to go into this because it's already said so I think we always look for opportunities to um to bring out the best Squad we can have just for this weekend Marcus rashford's got a very good record against Liverpool but he had some criticism from Alan Sher last week you took him off just after Ahmad scored is he is he lacking confidence I know you said a couple of weeks ago he wasn't but he's he's had some good chances this season not taking them everyone gets criticis from you guys doesn't matter what we are doing if we are winning if we are losing uh if I take a player off and then it's a conclusion I'm not happy with him I was very happy with res uh with Rie in in preseason against Fulham also against Brighton um it was not why that I took him off because his performances or level was not right now we have to rotate and we have good players on the bench as well you bring new energy uh to win the game and there will be a rotation and that if then there's the conclusion a player is not performing can be sometimes but definitely it wasn't in this case so uh Stupid analyze in this case from a pendit okay hi Eric um you talked about the no good culture that you inherited when you first came here and all the work you've had to do behind the scenes and the work that continues to go on with the structure and everything with regards to Liverpool do you think in a way Arnie slotz had it easier than you coming into a club that finished third the structure was already in place the players were there has he had it easier than you to slot in whereas you've had to do so much more work behind the scenes to get this this squad and this club back to where you want it to be that is this why there was one of the reason I want to come here to have this challenge I knew on forehand this is most difficult what I could ever do in life and to come in a club where are a lot of problems which we had to sort because I I inherited in history from uh from six years no trophies and that meant that the dressing room the qualities were not right so we we have to build we have to construct we had to u to uh perform and to bring up a higher level and how we did this well with uh transfers but also we did it by bringing Academy players into the team and what you see now we have uh we brought new players in but many young players and we are in a life cycle uh on the start and we are still in this transition stage we have young players uh now we have to make a team from it but we have young players some we brought them in young players the Academy players and now we have to construct a team for the future H lot hasn't had that challenge has he so far he's just inherited a great team yeah but I'm not here uh to talk for him but Liverpool yeah it's clear they are in a different uh phase of the life cycle and they have uh they have a team that's mature and they have so players already who are long together playing long together and who are very experienced and we have much more a mix and we have to build a new team last question in this section Chris hi Eric do you think because of the job he's taking on do you think it's it suits you to catch him early in the season to try and get him early in that that cycle um that gives you more of a chance to win this game we can always win also last year we won't win in the second part of the season but you're facing somebody obviously who that you know full well how how difficult it is coming into this country and it's probably better to face him early rather than to face him in six months time um I'm not sure because uh as you say they there is a team and the structures are are really clear and I think the players the the Partnerships the relationship in that team are very clear and that is what he inherited that is built over the past years and uh and still things are still the same but also I have seen some things already he brought in uh of course we're happy with the ones we signed because I said many times that uh it's difficult for us to to make the team even stronger because we already have a very strong team and if we then find them of course we're very happy with that so uh Kai is uh someone who can help us for the short term and uh uh mamash I think I pronounce it didn't really uh good is I think an one of the examples where this club uh did in the past very good as well well that that we look also at the future long-term future of the club and um and that's why we signed him any chance oh yeah that was your last question yeah um I'm not expecting anything but uh again it's uh it's no difference than all the days before if if we see an opportunity we could act but I'm not expecting anything just wanted to ask you about K with M really coming in next summer and his long-term future I mean how do you see it because you got two years left on his contract but obviously it's going to be different competition for places with madash really coming in so at his age I'd imagine he's got a decision to make on his future uh maybe but we have to make decisions as well it's not only uh the player I think if you work at a club like Liverpool you need competition and and we need a lot of good players and like I said um I'm actually is someone for the long future of the club and I'm really really happy with the goalkeepers we have at the moment and uh grief is one of them like uh F and um and Ali so we're in a good place when it comes to goalkeepers for now and for the long term good starts to the season you've obviously already face Manchester United in the summer as well but how different an experience are you expecting going to Old Trafford in the Premier League it's going to be different of course because when we played them in the states I think it was 50/50 uh when it uh is about def fense the stadium was somewhere the same I think it was 880,000 or something like this but the the atmosphere will be completely different of course because I'm not expecting uh half of the stadium that they are uh cheering for us or they're in favor for us would be a surpris though if it happens uh so that's going to be different but what makes it more different is that both teams have uh a lot of different players on the pitch um so you can't compare that game with the game on Sunday ay what have you been told about this fixture what been what's been said to you around the club this week ahead of going to La Trafford some of them try to tell me a few things about it but I don't think that's really necessary if you work at uh if you're starting to work at Liverpool everybody knows every player that comes in knows that and every manager comes in knows how important the game against United is it's similar to when you work at F how big the game against Ajax is so people tell you uh of course but uh it's of it's not really necessary because if you follow the game of football which I do for a long time you know the importance of uh Liverpool against United or United against Liverpool obviously two Dutch managers in charge you've already met Eric both in your home country but then in preseason 2 how would you describe your relationship with him as good um and as normal as the relationship you have with many other managers so Eric uh Renee H and R Fisto have joined him and that relationship with the both of the members is also the same as with Eric I would call that very good uh because we respect uh all of us respect each other a lot because of what these managers did at their former clubs and um they've been successful all three of them at the clubs they worked at in the in the past so there's a good and um good relationship between us friends no no no no friends no no no uh uh friends is something else I think um but a very good relationship but a friend is someone you see a lot and you go out with either to din with but that's not something we've done in the past that's for that we don't know each other well enough thank you hi um I'm federa he hasn't played since the euros and didn't have a pre-season just want do the fans have to be a little bit patient with him to see the best out of him and how excited are you to sign such an exciting one is still only 20 seconds excited uh like I said before uh if we sign someone that can help us uh achieving our goals and and improve the squad if we then find someone of course you're really excited that we brought him in I think um uh one of the one of the best things of of working here what I've noticed till now is the culture of this team they work really hard to try to achieve their goals and I think that is really important that the first player you bring in uh has that same attitude and that same uh uh um how should I say this uh the same brings the same culture so he's uh he works really hard on and off the pitch to try to get the best out of him and he combines this with scoring goals and um and like I said really aggressive without the ball and that's uh that's uh those are already two characteristics with him can playing on so many positions in the on the right on the left and maybe even in the middle makes him a interesting signing for us although I agree with you we should take care of him in the beginning because uh he didn't train with the team in the last two weeks but before he did haven't played many game minutes yet but we have a very good performance staff so uh we will build them up in the right way and then uh hopefully we can see his quality in the near future and when you in the Netherlands you've experienced one of the feest rivalries in European football with Bay audience ax I just wondered how much does that experience prepare you for what the biggest rivalry in English football uh I think preparing for every game takes a lot of time uh and and and the one of the most important things is prepare them for what they can expect and what they can expect is mostly about the players they face but I think now playing in a hostile environment with 75,000 I think it's 75 isn't it uh players have to be aware of that but the good thing for me is might be my my first time that I go there with Liverpool is going to be my second time over there but many of these players have played there before so I don't think I have to prepare them for the 75,000 they they've been used to this but I have prepared them in the best possible possible way of what they can expect because United plays in my opinion a bit different than the last two seasons so um therefore I need to prepare them Anor do you think talk of K's injury record is over exaggerated there's no concerns there for you at all would be the first time that English media overe execut wouldn't be I think it's true that he had a a long-term injury with his ACL but um for the rest I don't think he had big injuries minor injuries like every other player maybe but again we have a lot of trust in our performance staff and um the good thing is that he's not the only Winger we have he's one out of four where some others can play in that position as well so um if we if he's not available at certain moments and it will not only be with him it will also be with the others then there are still enough choices for me to make uh enough enough players for me to [Music] choose see any more outs today on maybe my things uh again same for incoming transfers or or loans if if it's the right opportunity for the player and for us as a club uh we will act and um if that opportunity comes for the both of us uh it will happen but to be honest I my main attention is on uh on United and not on the out outgoing ones and just Fitness wise how Jones any more injuries at the moment there are not any any other injuries except for Curtis Jones and um he will not train with us today so for the rest we'll we'll train with us today yeah AR um question you said it was it's going to be your second time in Old Trafford yeah what was the first time how how did you experience that yeah the moment I said I thought it's not so small if if people don't know that I've been there before because we lost 4-0 uh with with one of my former clubs in the I think it was the Europa League when we when all G was still there um so that wasn't the best experience but um it's also uh although we had a very good team back then with AET Almar at home we we played nil nil against them I think we have a I have a better team now to go um to go to w Trafford but you cannot compare of course anything and and one question about um when we when we talk to trainers managers who who worked here FAL hiding kak they they all say the same that they were surprised about the fact that in England there's always pressure on the ball if you play United if you play yville Town doesn't matter of course they're only short period here but can you see what they experien M I'm not sure if they if they said this or meant this what I see is maybe not that there's always pressure on the ball not every team has a high press most of them do though but not every team has but the physicality of the league is much much much higher than we are used to in Holland uh so if you in Holland you face the number of 10 to to 18 then there's a lot less physicality uh so but when we play St switch the first half they considered a few yellow who were maybe close to in Holland they would maybe be a red card um that's a bit exagerated so I I get use to the English media uh um but uh yeah like I said there it's it's it's much harder to win against the number 10 to 18 than it is in Holland if you are Ajax or finor or PSV change oh last one Harvey hasn't really featured much this season what's the problem with him and his gam like all the others uh it's the same I think um the disadvantage for some of them without having a lot of playing time is that we only have one game a week so uh we don't have to manage game time in that perspective uh hav came in 10 minutes so that's not a lot but he like all the like some others as well that are not playing have a lot of competition that's also one of the reason reasons why we only brought in one player because we think we have a lot of good players and we already have a lot of competition and um hary will get in my opinion a love playing time if he keeps doing what he does at the moment work really hard show his quality when he comes in and he already showed his quality in preseason but he's in competition at this moment if you look at the player who's playing on his position uh it's a d saos who's done well in the first two games as well so it's a luxury to have the choice between the two of them you're welcome is it too early for K this weekend man he's going to train with us today but um there's a bigger chance that he's not in the in the squad for Sunday than he is but if injuries might come up in the upcoming two days we might need him but I I don't expect him to be in but I cannot guarantee this so are not going to start not fit enough we'll get to him in just a moment Eric tenh how much pressure is he under for the Eric Ten's always Under Pressure that was a silly question I mean how much would you love to get this Victory considering what happened last time out and then do you have any idea about the Sano transfer what would need to happen how close a far it is well I think for the transfer of Sano to Chelsea to happen obviously Sterling would have to leave uh Chelsea and there has been no real movement on that just yet um Sterling is very much the master of his own destiny as far as that's concerned given he's got three years left on his contract he hasn't asked to leave the club Sancho is interesting because as I was saying before I did interview him last season uh at some length and we talked off camera as well and he talked about the fact that he's not very trusting of lots of people he needs to be in a place where he feels really secure to be able to produce his best football and Chelsea are a club well M awake is doing very well down that right hand side at the moment scored a wonderful hattick last weekend and in tandem with needs to be in a place where he feels really secure to be able to produce his best football because he feels good about himself and Chelsea are a club well M awake is doing very well down that right hand side at the moment scored a wonderful hattick is playing very well so I'm quite fascinated to see how this is going to pan out as far as Sancho is concerned is tenh under pressure yes he is because you're in charge of the biggest club in the world but set against that I remember there was a period where Liverpool were carrying all before them and United were terrible in the last couple of years but they always seem to show each other way too much respect and I think this could be a fascinating game a chess rather than an allout attack especially because of what happened last weekend I've mentioned it twice now but United zes at Brighton losing losing late on the subs that ten hog made the way that Herz was a little bit more ambitious with his subs and it paid off um and and just the fact that United you know lost again they they've kept the style of play and identity which has become known to them now and they they deserve it for being bra brave for pushing for the victory right at the end sesh in this next bit of footage we see here for the winning goal right yeah you see players running out and players on the back post what's going on here I think they've just had a complete Rush of they've switched off so basically when you come out n you and I need to come out marking your man or come out in a line as a unit you need leadership at the backat you need organization and clearly there's two three men at the back post un marked something's missing in the heart of the defense and when you want to win games late on that can't happen yeah I think that's perfectly fair and I think at times as a player you can be guilty of just ball watching you tend to fall into that mindset when you're in a sense of desperation but as we look back at that goal you only need one person to see him yeah but unfortunately for United the person that saw it was a Dinger for Brighton and hasn't been a great pass and everyone would look around and say how's this person free well from Anana to The Defenders to the midfielders to the attackers not one person noticed the guy that was free at the back post and unfortunately like this is how you can get punished yeah so many red shirts in there and as you mentioned a little bit guilty of ball watching um ad dingra as as i' mentioned earlier was one of those subs that came on if they give moala that kind of space knowing what moala does against Manchester United six goals at Old Trafford the most in history by a visiting player they will be in big trouble yeah most Old Trafford almost feels inevitable to be honest and it's not necessarily something the United fans want to hear but that's the reality of it and I think if United do defend like that then yes they will be in trouble but I thought overall against Brian I thought they were okay I don't think it was as bad as say the result sort of married itself too and I think in different moments they probably win that game I think having a goal dis allow than obviously the one at the end with xer season he being hit and they just need to improve in the moments but unfortunately for them the person who tends to step up when someone's having a bad moment is Mo Salah the guy does it over and over and over and over again against them and I think to see someone that comfortable at Old Trafford it just I never thought in my lifetime I'd see that to be honest I have lots of questions to do you mind if I ask no please go ahead because I got these two defend here right and I look at the fact that there was so much mobility in the Liverpool attack against uh who they play in their first game now they played hiwi in the in the attack against hips switch and I I just look at that fluidity that Aros slots managed to retain and the fact that you can move Maguire around you can play balls inside the fullback as they have done and it worries me for Manchester United what do you do as a Defender when you're coming up against a side like that to be honest was a Defender but we also happen to have a coach here as well so so coach what what would you do oh I think because they're that good I think it's a damage limitation job and I explain what I mean so no matter what you do they can unlock it so if you have a high line they can go behind you if you drop deep they can play through all around you so you need to be brave at times not to be too deep but also probably not as aggressive as IPS which you were in the first half so depends on your personnel but you got to find that middle ground where you're comfortable enough enough to limit their threats but it's easier said than done yeah I I agree and I think realistically as well some people have a perception whereby he should always be able to stop the opposition well that's not necessarily defending the goals are pretty big and the players you're playing against are pretty good but what you can do is make it as hard as possible for them to be able know you have to be organized you have to be competitive you have to try and upset their Rhythm upset their timing but also realize that the other team will have chances and that's also why you have a goalkeeper you know goalkeepers in there to make saves as well not just to just you know comfortable and do nothing so it takes a total sort of effort to limit aside and it's not impossible because you know as far as I see Liverpool aren't the greatest team that's ever played football either so I think playing at home you know you've got to be on the front foot and get the crowd behind you forgot how spicy you are actually no it's cuz he said no no when it's like it's when Dar to be fair is when he said United are just the biggest club in the world I could hear so many people shaking their heads down you know s is Life okay Darren a question you have to answer yourself okay go okay it's about kid what a fascinating signing because I I don't really understand like how they got him for that price and if you consider Euro 2020 he didn't kick on cuz he was injured and he's not quite lived up to the hype right yeah the key word is injured because he has had his problems over the last couple of seasons and that's why he's gone for around about 12.5 billion he's only 26 years of age so he's got a lot of football in him and a lot of mileage on the clock and a lot of quality as well he'll play down that right hand side you know I'm a one of life's big cynics and I look at the contract negotiations or not Rel in relation to mosala um and what might happen with him he looks after himself superbly well he doesn't drink in a bad thing so I mean he's probably going to be scoring goals deep into his 30s but there you've got a readymade replacement for him if things don't go Liverpool's way interesting fact which I'm surprised you haven't mentioned yet I'm not allowed to do stats anymore remember you told me cuz you got they're all on you say fact or stats no it's not me but it's Fons it's the same thing it's because we have this brand new look for the show looks fantastic then I'm not allowed to anymore other thing as well to say about that that Victory is that it I mean it was in the balance there wasn't very much in it at all and Manchester United could just as easily have taken three points from this game but I'm really interested in in your thoughts as a as a striker because we talked a little bit about Nicholas Jackson last week about just straying into offside positions even if it's just by a millimeter and how that needs to be that needs to be be cut out of his game because that's what experience brings so when you're in this situation and gacho's ball is coming across is it is it a mistake to have gone for it is there a way of being able to pull yourself out when you've already got that moment watch see right KS he's why why I can't he should not get no stick for this because as you'll see here D he's got to go in for this he has to attack this space he's attacking the ball's gone past him he's on the ground there's nothing he can do now now you know what I mean the ball's hit him so you know look I don't even think he'll be I wouldn't probably be aware enough to say I'm going to I'm going to take my knee out of the way but for me that's a that's a really tough decision on him because go for the first one KS it's gone past him he's not even stopped the first movement yet and the balls come back in it's hit his knee those things should be taken into consideration simply because there's nothing he could do about that situation he has to go on the first one kills yeah but the I suppose the question is he he does have to go but could he have timed it slightly better because he was in in an offside position when he when he chose to go did you what when the first cross oh no the second oh he already on the way is already on the way first so this is what when we see it KS like I think he's doing brilliant here D yeah if I'm wrong because he looks like he's not going then that burst of speed the ball's too hard for him ideally he should be playing that ball to xery yeah he's passed it past him he's made a great run and you can see the way he held the Run was brilliant because he got in there with pace and the pass was too much for him and for him to for it to come off his knee and go in it's so harsh on him cuz there's nothing he can do everything about is good as you said there right because he's even poting where he wants it but it looks like he's not interested so thinking I'm thinking we'll get in there and then the last minute that burst of energy is's in there and it's a tapping but on the flip side if you're guy at you're thinking it's a bit of a scuffy finish so just put it in the net just put it in the net and there's no that hand you holds up you go you celebrate but the fact that he's almost hit xery on the line it's a little bit of it's luck at the end of the day but for xery he's done nothing wrong his movement I prefer to see him in there than not because if he doesn't make that run that ball doesn't happen they get back the Defenders they clear it out over it's such a strange one though cuz in real time it didn't really look like he'd made any contact with it it was just an odd an odd offs side wasn't it just one of those anomalies and so unlucky so unlucky and I think he's done enough in the first two games of Manchester United for probably Manchester United fans to feel like okay he's a good addition to this squad cuz he's hungry and he wants to be in those positions and Rasmus Highland's Fitness obviously a bit of a question mark they need good energy center forwards who are going to be in the right positions and I think where other players are struggling like Marcus rash Marcus rashford out wide I think his positioning his offside awareness is just it's not quite there it should be should be totally should be there to be honest flow um I I feel that what I'd like to see from xery as maybe someone with more focal point even more focal point for Man United States up there so they could play into him more so we could see more cuz what I've seen since the first game he set up and got in the Box scored the goal that one he movement I really liked it because he was playing posum and and Bam he went in say to me he's got the energy to be sharpen in around the box I would keep him in the whip for the 18 Yard Box K and play into him and then get people coming onto him that's what I would try to do because man united find it very hard to keep the ball in the last third they don't do it I think the issue I find with them is that they love playing keep Ball but they don't do anything with the ball for the sake of it there's such little creativity and I watched that first game thinking it felt like half the game plan was just let's win some free kicks in and around the Box whereas that's not how you should be playing they're going to have plenty of possession in these games they've shown that last season and this season but you've got to do more with it you've got to be deliberate in how you play and I think in both these Manchester United games I haven't seen enough of that and then again their defense lets them down and that was the issue last season conceding way too many chances that's got that goal that's second goal the I don't know when you see I couldn't believe as a stri or you think it's Christmas I couldn't believe it it could have been any three of them theend that you just I tell you you could go back as far as you want archives you have to go a long way to find um a defense in the So-Cal top division that have left three people um on the back post like that I can't believe it it's just I can't believe it yeah it it what what's this down to is it players decisions is it players having Switched Off in no communication no one checks their shoulders either no one even has a look as just to go right cuz usually it's like a second phase as it goes out you'll see right whoever I'm closest to I'm going to mark them but one of them set off Defenders and experience um the licks there there there's a few there looking around no one checks their shoulders and that's where the confusion comes in because they think right the first one's been half cleared we've all done our jobs now and they don't go say oh there's the danger and that's been the problem as you said there flow for thing is is that you're right as well there D because what's meant to happen is is that when you're when you're doing the training so when when when it comes in you clear it KS you come out to a certain place but on the way out you're checking to see where the men are so when that's gone out and then it's come back here man there's still they're still ball watching and honestly it's it was I couldn't believe they let in a goal like that do you think there's an element of heads dropping after the goal is is disallowed and then maybe not quite having to switch back on after that is that could that have played in I just think people not doing their jobs what I was going to say I don't know because the first goal similarly was bad positioning and I think that is the issue is that there's a lack of leadership there's a lack of communication with experien players who should in those moments have enough awareness not to be ball watching to know where the danger is and be able to manage the game better and I think the issue for Manchester United is it's quite a lot of buildup of the same sort of scenarios and in that first one Martinez isn't moving across to to Mark the player he should be and then Maguire is stretching for ball he doesn't get to it's a really simple finish for Danny wilbeck to have that much space in that that close proximity to the line to literally just to be able to tap it in again you know feeds into the fact that the organization and communication in their backline is is kind of nonexistent you know as well because it's almost like and if you look at the substitutions Eric tar takes off Maguire and he brings on delit and Momin so clearly he doesn't trust him defensively will on the flip side fan herzler he puts on a dingra he puts on Joo so clearly his team exactly what they're doing down to a man whereas Eric tag thinking you know what we've got to a point here I don't want to lose this I don't quite know where this is going to go so if I put on two more defensive minded players hopefully that will see us over the line and sometimes it doesn't always work and the flip side of that is you've then got dangerous players like Bruno Fernandez sitting on the on the bench and there's that shot of him and ammed I think is is next to him on the on the bench where they the two of them are just boot face because they know that they could have they could have made made a difference at the other again um unless they were injured I could not understand that um that's those substitutions to the point where to the point where you saw Bruno Fernandez um coming off he's almost laughing yeah you know what I mean you see Hammer I've watched him since preseason all the way through the community Shield I've seen some good stuff for him playing now and I'm not sure why he's taking him off it's not like he needs rest he hasn't been at a tournament or anything and he's he's playing well he's scored a goal you saw his like when he got released he was he was like grease lightning he wasn't and he took him off you know what I mean it's again you think to yourself because you why isn't Garo starting yeah you can but you can look at the goals and say you can you can blame the players in a sense there and say well there's not much Eric tenard can do if the players aren't aren't concentrating and aren't in the in the right positions but when it comes down to the substitutions he's he's on his own that's that's his decisions isn't it and and I'm sorry um I'm not I'm not taking Bruno Fernandez off um when it's when it's one1 no when it's tight no chance no chance absolutely I don't don't know what the excuse will be for that I haven't heard anything I don't know if he's injured but like just judging by the way he ran off I couldn't understand it I probably if I'm going to be at the moment I'm probably starting garnacho over um Marcus rashford I think that he he's somebody that again he's got a goal disallowed but he gets hit for the way man united play at the moment because there's so much emphasis on their Wingers to to to thrive in one on-one situations guys that um he's the one that relishes that he comes on he's he wants to score and normally does score so I can't understand now why you I'm not saying in no negative way um Marcus rashford is starting over him I would start amadio and I would probably start garnacho just because they look like they're up for it right now Liverpool next week for Manchester United which is going to be be an interesting one although the record at Old Trafford from Dallas Tottenham Villa brenford you feel that there's there's points in there for Manchester United and room for them them to develop over those games yeah but you say that K and you look at the defending and how they played you can't look at those games and just say well there's room for them to simply because you don't know what man united is going to are the defense going to be like that are they going to be able to create and and and score the goals you know is he going to take off top players when they get to a certain level in the game I don't think you could call a man united game at the moment because you know at the moment for me it's it's not a lot different from last season I I would look I would look at those fixtures and think there's some banana skins there unfortunately that's the that's the energy I think Manchester United have around them at the moment and I I was really impressed with the transfer window they had and thought that they would start the season better than they have and I think I it's just a little bit concerning that there is still such a lack of identity and idea there when the manager has been there for an amount of time where you'd like to think that things should be moving in a direction that feels like there's growth yeah and as much as we say we're only two games in it feels like it's an extension as you've said of last season as well that we're looking into hello and welcome to the game between the Manchester United and the uh Liverpool SW this is the big clash as we have seen in the Premier League we have a very limited uh thrilling games like that to watch between the Manchester United and the Liverpool side so Manchester United faces the Liverpool on the Sunday night in which what they will do we all know the Manchester United records are not that much good against the Liverpool side because some good players are present and they will face the Manchester United with a very very threshing game so looking at the game between the Manchester United and the Liverpool so the stadium is Old Trafford the home ground for the Manchester United while the Liverpool are present at the a side Liverpool has a probability of 52% in that game while uh uh Manchester United still managed to have 26% chances to win this game there is a draw chances between these two or 22 22% draw chances in that game for each of the side for the Liverpool and the Manchester United side Liverpool are present at the fourth position in the Premier League points table while the Manchester United are present at the 11th position in the Premier League points table so their standings are something different Liverpool are in the first top five while Manchester United are present at the top 15 position the Premier League point SE so their records are not that much good as we have seen in that Premier League season the last season they have ended at uh eighth position so they qualify for the Europa conference league and they will face r on 25 and 26 September so this is the states that they will face Rangers at the 25 and the Liverpool will face them at the sorry Tottenham will face them at the 26 on the uh September now what about the pregame analysis in which Manchester United have been just one of their last 12 Premier League meetings with Liverpool beating them two 21 at the Old Trafford in their third game of the 2022 and 2023 campaign Liverpool lost just one of the last six Premier League away games against the Manchester United while only Manchester City have been away at the Old Trafford more often than the rats in the competition history since Sir Alex fergusen retired Manchester United have lost 13 of the Premier League 35 games played in September only losing more often in May Since 2013 and 14 it's more defeats than they suffered in the month in 76 games another Scots man in the win 45 loses loses 12 and draw 19 Liverpool coming towards the Liverpool side Liverpool have win both of the Premier League games 2 N this season this is the good record that they win both of their Premier League matches against the uh Liverpool so in that season so more often in May Since 2013 or 14 more defeat than they suffered in the month in 1976 Premier Leagues Under the Scottish man Sir Alex fergusen Liverpool have beenn both of their Premier League games 2 N this season twice before they have beenn each of the first three in the campaign without conceding doing so in 2013 and 14 and 201819 they beat Manchester United 1 n on 1st September in the third game in the former no team has had more shots than Liverpool in the Premier League this season while the Reds has also have the highest expected goals total and the lowest expected goals total against the total so far so Manchester United chances are not that much good as compared to the Manchester uh Liverpool saw because Liverpool are the favorite for this game uh the stadium a ground with uh is the Old Trafford Stadium not the anfield stadium but AR has a tactical analysis that he can want that he will win the game and that was the thing that that was the theory that he can explain and win the game like the only s win the last game against the bford side with a 2-n victory in that game so that's all for uh today and see you in the next video till then bye-bye
