NC State WR Wesley Grimes talks relationship with Grayson McCall, start of fall camp and more

Wesley first of all for you we just talked to Coach and I about the weapons on this offense what does it like to be one of those weapons on this offense and and see so many other guys around you that're doing similar things to you yeah it feels great um no we got weapons all around each each side we got a depth that like I've never seen before we got guys that can do everything so um it's good we don't have to rely on just one person to make a play we got multiple guys that can make play so yeah transition been as seamless as got yeah transition's been great all the guys been very welcoming it's been a smooth transition The Playbook I'm loving getting know more about the Playbook and just learn the offense and it's been smooth so how far along do you think in terms of learning the offense you doing I'm doing good um I would say the offense is a lot easier to to understand than wake for us as offense so um it's been it's been going good can he speak of the relationship that you've built and maybe the chemistry with Grayson over these lasts yeah Grayson's a great dude me and along really well um we throw every weekend we go get lunch just talk and just just catch up on life you know he's a vet guy that I can learn a lot from and so I kind of just see where his head is at so what we on the field it's just we're just out there just playing ball you speak to having you know all the weapons around whether it's you know running back wide out whatever it is um and how much does that push you guys in practice knowing that there's a lot of guys out there you know and your unit but how much does that PR push you uh pushes us every day I mean we're competing um I mean even with the DVS we got great DVS pushing us every day making us better so it's just iron sharpening iron we got a lot of depth at all positions I feel like we got guys at every position that can make plays and it'll be fun to watch we've HT your name we've HT your name quite a bit over the last like week plus um as far as you know what you've been doing on the field and how you've been preparing for the season what do it like to know that you know the hard work that you're putting in is paying off too yeah was feeling good um I'm putting a lot of intent to the season I'm trying to handle myself like a pro and just kind of just be professional about other things trying to you you know keep a routine and just um just handle myself as a a pro really and just coming out every day early uh stretching taking care of my body just doing all the lter things that go a long way that way when the season comes just kind of just I'm out there just playing football what was it like being on the same side with no riders that feels great you know he's one of my like close friends so just playing with him again just kind of like old times U just get out there having fun joking around but then we make each other better we're competing with each other and it's great it's just fun to play with a guy like that between the first game where's the growth where do youall do to get better what are you looking to get to I feel like just all areas um in terms of white out uh we're just working on everything just catching everything blocking just just sharpening everything that way when the game is kind of just routine we don't have to clean everything up so right now just all areas just little details we're trying to clean up
