Central Kentucky high school football highlights, scores: Oct. 27

for you here on home team Friday nights Michaels Jordan Adams here with you a little bit of an abbreviated show but we had some fantastic games to get to you you saw a good one Lex cath yeah I saw a good one last week of the regular season so feels good feels good are going to be great this one the best game maybe of the year just on paper the best game in the state tonight was a great game between B County Frederick Douglas two defending champs B County 4A Douglas 5A of course Douglas up 6A now like to see that Moon a little spooky here on this Halloween now they played each other in last year's regular season finale as well and Douglas won 37 to6 one of two regular season losses for the rebels but they won stage so it didn't matter up 14 to7 in the third Mont Quisenberry taking the snap from the Wildcat nice juke move and takes it 44 yds to the house Douglas would pin him deep on a punt but they just could not get anything going offensively just two first downs all game from the Broncos and Avery boder just took care of the rest on this long drive in the fourth quarter just eating clock and getting a big time touchdown there to seal the deal 28-7 I'm still stunned at that just two first downs for Douglas that was a defensive clinic for the Rebels they finished the regular season 10 and0 and they are as scary as anybody going into the class 4 a playoffs yeah Mike if you would have told me that before the game I wouldn't have believed you man that's crazy to our next game though and we're going to head over uh to Scott County versus Lex Catholic Scott County already up 7even nothing until quarterback Jackson weic is going to hit or he's going to hit Jackson CTT over the middle for the wide open TouchDown that Jackson tojson connection we have a tie ball game after the mid Pat very next possession folks and it's going to be the Lexington Catholic defense getting on the board how about a pick six from a defense alinan folks 59 putting them up and putting him down Canon mackley with the heads up play and the speed to go all the way for the touchdown the knights took a 14-7 lead into the half and they end up winning 21-2 in this one big fell can move good play there we might see it a little bit later I'm play of the week all right let's head down the road we'll stay here in Lexington Brian station Defenders looking for seventh win and their last eight games taken on Central Harden with one three in a row themselves station living up to their name Defenders Devon Frasier introduces himself to the Bruins offense with the hit stick and then on special teams The Defenders not letting anything go there either they break through and block the field goal to keep the Bruins at zero offense getting in on the fun a big time win for them playoffs are going to be a good start for station next week at home against Lafayette but they clean it up here with a a 48 to8 win over Central harda all right Mike now to Woodford County we go Yellow Jackets hosting Balor fast start though for the home team and it's going to be Justice werzer he's going to fake out the entire defense folk folks and almost the cameraman and by a wide openen Omari Joiner for the touchdown oh man the fans are loving it for the home team folks then the defense is going to get on to this one it's going to be Thurman Wade and look at this Mike he's just a freshman but watch this play give me that R it all the way number nine picking them up and putting them down tail lights to the end zone 14 nothing on that house call Yellow Jackets uh end up uh scoring again in just a few plays we'll see it here actually take it back the defense is going to give up a score 60 yards to the house but it is going to be and with that play it's going to be Ballard who ends up winning this one Mike 50 to 21 against the home team yeah that's a good start for the L jackets but they get smoked at home again just like losing to Scott County a couple weeks ago that is tough for them Ballard still looking like Ballard all right couple more scores for you LCA obviously the class of 2A just rolling again 48-21 over Raceland who's a really good team in class 1a so that's a good win for LCA and Henry Clay losing a big one 45 to8 to Southwestern LCA is going to host Clinton County next week and then Clay's going to go to Douglas for the first round of the playoffs great Crossing good win 42 to 34 four over Collins just their second win of the Year Estel County getting a big win over Bourbon County so great Crossings got to go to mail next week that is brutal bourbon count is at Russell County and esel County going to rock castle all right coming up we got some more stuff here for you on home team Friday nights we got our inside access segment we're going up to day regular season finale but they got tough test these dudes are some Bad Dudes Franklin County the Flyers are unbelievable undefeated in class 4A and going for more Durty Trant to Gavin H we've said that combo for you all season here and it continues to work for the Flyers and then a little bit more here in the first half Christian Moore just jumping over the line hey he's a big fell but he can get up too you love to see it this team is dangersous they are going to give Corbin or Bo County a run for their money here in the playoffs good win for them over GRC the final 48-7 all right s looking to finish off their undefeated season taking on Bethlehem first drive of the game and it's going to be their star QB Pennington he's going to fire one deep folks to their star receiver Brock kopman he going to bring it down on the one yd line but they would score on the very next play still early in this one and it's going to be the Run game game and it's going to be Charlie slaya he breaks a pair of tackles and finds the end zone for what would be his first of five touchdowns tonight man s just dominated this one folks and they get to 10 and0 with the 46 to 21 dub on the and the road to Kroger field starts next week of course versus 2 and8 Fair viiew they got some home games set up for them and a possible fantastic second round matchup with Paris who was wrapping up the regular season as well against lllo the Panthers Greyhounds on defense we got a big man with with the ball alert and freshman Donovan Griggs with the pick rumbles and stumbles mumbling down to the 20 yard line that is our second big man interception of the night you love to see it then on the very next play Jayden hullman takes the counter up the middle and goes untouched for the score the Greyhounds so much talent web and Jakari Ransom so many guys Juju Gregory they're going to be tough to beat too nine to one season for them here in the regular season 50 to 26 they got Eminence in the first round next week we head down the road because it was senior night at Tes Creek earlier this evening and we start in the second half quarterback Andrew witherington is going to pull this one down and scramble all by himself and he just walks it into the End Zone from 25 yds out 20 nothing commodor they're going to be swinging for the fences though folks check this out Mike this is their second onside kick recovered in the game later on it's going to be witherington again this time he's going to launch it deep to to JT Cooper who snags it in from 40 yards out to put Tate Creek up 35 nothing they go on to win 42 nothing and they're going to host GRC next week in round one of the playoffs coach Hawks culture youd love to see it also that onside kick bounce was just fantastic NFL kickers take some notes all right Harrison County winning 46- 31 I believe that was the sight of our home team kickoff this morning and then Mercer County another big win Craig geese Squad just continues to roll in class 3A for 48- 28 so they're going to be home against Laro County next week and uh Lincoln County as well getting in that action Western Hills 42-35 over Frankfurt and Madison Southern continuing pretty strong season down to bua 43-2 over Whitley County Ethan Moore scoring five touchdowns for the Eagles three rushing one receiving and one defenses so they're going to be home against Harland County next week to begin postseason play all right coming up this is going to be our last block normally we do four segments this is it we got a couple more games for you then our play of the and he's going to get tripped up here later on in it we're going to get a touchdown QB sneak from our former student athlete of the week DJ Walker not too bad from the young man then it's going to be East just in a bad spot being down 14 uh oh but they're going to find a way to scramble in as he extends the football in that's Parker Morgan showing off his legs as well and then we got a little fake play going left going back right and he's going to break a few tackles will'll come down who's going to win this one and it's going to be East j 41-27 a little bit of a shock that for me second win of the season for the Jags love to see it also Dante Park and Morgan he's been on plays the week before the guy's a talented player let's just give him his flowers all right dumbar our hosting Eastern pick things up in the second with the Bulldogs up 2114 Eastern driving Zane Wagner runs a little bit of tush push hey there's no Eagles out here that's a nice play right there to tie things up ensuing Eastern possession down on the goal line Cameron Russ gets his number called on the Jet Sweep for the score and then right before halftime an interception was set up this scor from Wagner to Joshua Shipley 35 to 21 at the half Eastern goes on the win this one 48-42 so been a tough season for the Bulldog it's been a tough season for some of our teams here in Lexington but T Tate's Creek I'm surprised impressed with them and Douglas we'll see how they do in 6A yeah but we got our favorite segment coming up plays let's see it what's got yeah play number one we're going to go from Woodford County and it's that guy Thurman Wade The Freshman user pick folks looks like me against Mike in Madden just the other day pick six 60 yards out and he helped his team uh get an early lead but unfortunately they would fall in the end tough loss of B good play right there play number two comes from Paris jayen hullman hits the hole leaving the Panthers defense in his dust just like Sarah did a few weeks ago out in Frankfurt helping the Greyhounds to 50 to 26 dub and Ninth win of the Season hey they're racing dogs for a reason got that speed and then how about another pick six but this time from a big fella number 59 putting him up and putting him down Canon meley from Lexington Catholic earlier tonight huge play I'm just going to say it I think that might be his first career touchdown folks hey man if it is good for him gets the welld deserve water bath there and uh he got speed I'm impressed good stuff all right Kentucky Tennessee foot tomor we'll have coverage for you
