Offensive Line Makeover Comes Into Focus | Baltimore Ravens Final Drive

[Applause] [Music] we all knew that the Ravens offensive line was headed for some big changes this off season John Harbaugh and Eric dasta talked at the combine earlier this month about how that group was headed for a rebuild and now that makeover is coming into Focus as the new league year officially opened today the Ravens made some significant moves the team reportedly agreed to trade starting right tackle Morgan Moses to the New York Jets in exchange the Ravens moved up the fourth round and also added another six round pick starting left guard John Simpson is also headed to New York after signing a two-year deal with the Jets starting Right Guard Kevin zitler is still out there in free agency but his return to Baltimore seems a little unlikely since the two sides did not reach the deal earlier this month when the void years in his contract expired and then there's left tackle Ronnie Stanley and the Ravens reportedly restructured his contract to lower his cap hit and free up room before the new league year opened working out that restructure makes it more likely that Ronnie is going to be on the roster for this upcoming season as a starting left tackle so as it stands right now the Ravens will be looking to replace three out of their five starters along that offensive line right tackle Right Guard and left guard that's a big overhaul now the Ravens have internal options like Daniel fele at right tackle Ben Cleveland at Right Guard Andrew Vorhees or Salah at left guard the Ravens drafted those players and they have a great track back record in developing young offensive lineman now something to consider here is that the Ravens could also still add new pieces to that group I think that's going to happen the draft is clearly an option because it's expensive to get offensive lineman it's an expensive Market out there for that spot I will not be surprised at all if the Ravens end up drafting a tackle in the first round this year and then they would probably follow that up with an interior offensive lineman at some point later in the draft I fully expect the Ravens to add multiple off offensive lineman to this roster between now and week one John harau told me back at the combine that rebuilding this offensive line was a top priority for the Ravens this off season the moves today to kick off free agency give us a better idea of what that process will look like and it is going to continue over the course of the next several months now before I go today I also want to make sure you know that running back DK Henry is going to be in the building tomorrow to officially sign his new contract and be introduced here in Baltimore that press conference is going to be at 11:30 a.m. we'll stream that for you live so make sure you stay tuned for that thanks for watching we'll see you again [Music] [Music] tomorrow
