[Music] welcome to fresh talk News Channel today we're bringing you the latest updates on a critical issue former president Donald Trump recently spoke with Fox News sharing his strong opposition to Florida's Amendment for a proposed measure that would allow unrestricted abortion access across all 9 months Trump called the amendment radical and emphasized that he will be voting no Amendment four which is up for a vote in Florida seeks to overturn the state's current six-week abortion ban by enshrining abortion rights in the state constitution the ballot initiative reads no law shall prohibit penalize delay or restrict abortion before viability or when necessary to protect the patient's Health as determined by the patient's healthc care provider Trump has been vocal about his disagreement with Florida's 6- week abortion ban saying you need more time than 6 weeks I've disagreed with that right from the early primaries however he also criticized a proposed amendment stating the 9 months is just a ridiculous situation he went on to express his concerns about late term abortions saying doing an abortion in the 9th month is unacceptable some states like Minnesota allow for for Extreme Measures after birth and all of that is unacceptable so I'll be voting no for that reason Governor Ron desante signed the heartbeat protection act into law 2023 making abortion after 6 weeks illegal in Florida Trump's comments come as he continues to navigate his stance on abortion which has been a point of confusion for some voters in a Fox News Town Hall earlier this year Trump emphasized the importance of winning elections stating you have to win elections otherwise you're going to be back where you were and you can't let that ever happen again Trump has also taken credit for the Supreme Court's decision to overturn roie Wade in June 2022 calling it the biggest Win For Life in a generation he once referred to himself as the most prolife president in American history at the faith and freedom Coalition gayer in 2023 Amendment 4 is sponsored by a group called Floridians protecting Freedom based in Sarasota the amendment has already garnered more than the required 8% of Statewide registered voter signatures to make it onto the ballot with 997 th35 signatures the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News digital's request for comment thanks for watching Fresh talk News Channel don't forget to like And subscribe for more news and updates
