etvn this is breaking news we begin with breaking news tonight as the Davis fire has broken out in Washo Valley this afternoon it has already burned more than 1,500 acres and six buildings have been destroyed according to the fire Crews and they say it's growing rapidly this is a live look at the fire burning in Washo City try Meadows fire and rescue tell us the fire sparked at Davis Creek and jumped the highway into Washo City where it is still spreading due to high winds parts of Washo City are under evacuation including James Village East Lake Fawn Lake the Galina Estates in all homes or buildings south of Mount Rose Highway along alternate us 395 a checking spot for evacuees is at the senior center on 9th Street in Reno the row Eldorado Resort Casino Circus Circus Reno and Silver Legacy Resort Casino is offering a special rate of $59 with complimentary Resort Fe for anyone that has been evacuated due to the Washo Valley fire Extended Stay America in Sparks is offering $99 per night as well for evacuees all resources in Northern Nevada are responding to this fire in five strike teams from California have been called as well this is all we know right now but please stay with us through the night and we will keep you updated as we learn more
