first 19 years of my life for obviously in Helen Montana has a whole lifetime ago I was a super insecure high school kid so to be able to learn how to fight and be good at fighting and have like respect from other people you know I was knocking people out when I was 16 years old I was knocking out grown men in kickboxing matches it really molded me as a fighter in 2014 sha Ali left his home state for Arizona with nothing more than his Nissan Ultima and $2,000 this summer sugga got an opportunity to return to his hometown for the first time as both a father and a champion show you guys around the ground being from Helen was super important for my career because of the confidence it gave me being able to fight as much I was able to fight I could fight a couple times a month in Montana they didn't have a commission at the time me and my dad would just travel around Montana and just go and fight in random places welcome home Su can I show you my house my old house here I have pockets that's really cool this is a trip being here I haven't been back in a while so took the family back had atena my three-year-old had never been there so it was cool to bring her back to see where I was from got to go check check out the house that I grew up in it was so different Elena it's where your daddy grew up it's where I grew up they was weird seeing a different family live in a house that I grew up in cuz it kind of felt like it was still my house was a trip being back but it was like a sad somber feeling like being there knowing it's not our house anymore we moved in they built it when I was like 3 years old so I grew up in that house another reason for Sugar's trip was a promotional meet and greet at a local gas station which gave him another opportunity to revisit his former life through his Helena fan base we're at the New Town Pump on North Montana Avenue one of the main guys from Town Pump got a hold of me a month ago and said I know it's not going to happen but is there any chance Sean can come here for a grand opening back to his hometown and I called Sean asked him and he's like absolutely I haven't been there in a long time I'd love to come back to Helena I stopped doing meet and greets not a while ago made an exception for Helena coming back here being able to see all the people and for them to see him it's pretty special thing meeting the fans felt like I was just meeting younger versions of me I would have been that kid standing in line if there was someone from Helena that had made it and they came back so I was like taking pictures with my younger selves [Applause] [Music]
