But we are, we're kind of getting into that fall spirit. You know, there's gonna be homecoming coming up, got the first high school football game we're gonna be broadcasting this week. Um So we're in the fall vibes and temperatures coming down just a little bit and Texas is slowly but surely, yes, slowly but surely we're getting there. The rain chances going up a little bit too as we head into the holiday weekend, taking you out to DFW. Once again, 88 degrees feels like it's 92. So it's still going to be hot out there for us here today. We'll have mostly sunny skies for now. Coming back out to love field. 86 feels like it's 89 there starting to see a few clouds puff up here this afternoon, there will be one or two more as we head into the early afternoon hours and a few showers bubbling up as well. And you can see heading out well down towards south and west between Hamilton and Meridian, looking at a little shower that has bubbled up and I think we will see one or two more here over the next few hours. So similar to what we saw yesterday. The better coverage though will be out to south and west where we have that 30 maybe even four, 3% coverage as we get a little farther south here for today, but less so as we come up into the metroplex. But again, we may, uh, you may be one of the lucky ones like what we saw yesterday to have one of those showers and storms. So as we go into the afternoon hours today, you can see around 3 p.m. you can see the scattered activity a little far south heading down I 35 and I 45 getting out toward Hillsboro down around Waco and Mejia, we'll have some scattered showers and some thunders, nothing strong or severe as expected. So that's some good news but some heavier downpours and some of the gusty winds, perhaps with any stronger storms that we do see Cleburn down toward Hillsboro as we hit late into the afternoon. You may see one or two showers and storms there. They don't last long though. They will taper off as we head into the early evening. This is around 7 p.m. So it will be quiet once again overnight. But then this gets repeated as we head into tomorrow, uh, afternoon, we'll have at least isolated to scattered showers and storms dotting portions of North Texas here for tomorrow afternoon as well, mainly south and east of Dallas and Fort Worth. So the coverage for the, uh, metroplex gonna be pretty low over the next few days. But those rain chances will be increasing as we head toward Friday on into the weekend. So here's what it looks like with those daytime highs, as I mentioned, it's still going to be hot out there as we will be generally in the upper nineties, but a little less so with those temperatures coming down a little bit where we'll have the better chance of higher coverage with those showers and storms only around 90 degrees, I think out to our south and west now those temperatures, they will continue to go in the opposite direction going down as we head into the weekend, we like to see that only around 90 as we head into Saturday and Sunday and on Labor Day, we may not get out of the eighties. So, yeah, we'll look forward to that and we'll have that chance for some showers and storms around that time as well as we look at the coverage with the rain. We'll bump that up to about a 40 to maybe even 50% coverage as we head into Labor Day. So here's how that may look for us with that front dropping in. So that's gonna help enhance our chances for the showers and storms and behind that those temperatures will come down. Now, with the, uh, cloud cover out there as well, not gonna be an all day of rain over the weekend, not everyone will probably see showers and storms, but it will be scattered about some plan accordingly, especially if you're gonna be out and about with those outdoor plans, you may have to adjust and, uh, come indoors if you're dodging some of those showers and storms on Sunday, kind of scattered about again. This is gonna be mainly during the afternoon and evening. It looks like too through the weekend, things will start to, uh, settle down after Labor Day, but we're still gonna have the scattered showers and storm around even for Monday. So, anything that you again are doing outdoors through the weekend, just keep an eye on the sky. We'll have at least a few showers and swarms, but again, not anticipating anything severe. So here is that 14 day forecast for you, we'll keep it in the upper nineties through Thursday. Temperatures begin to come down with those rain changes going up through the weekend and again, only around 90 degrees as we head into Monday, the rain changes do dry up, but we'll still see those temperatures only in the lower nineties as we go through the latter half of next week as well. We'll have more midday after this.
