oh man okay Oregon had a field goal As Time expired to beat Boise yesterday 3734 we have sadlock stats sadlock stats are something like this Boise doubled up organ in rushing and that's just it's not a padlock stat because Oregon won the game it it's not a badlock stat it didn't necessarily Miss Lead You just makes you sad as an Oregon fan because last week they couldn't run the ball and people like me expected a big time flip this year this week I expected that just did not get it they got outrushed 221 to 109 and it was on about the same amount of carries too 6.7 yards per carry versus three yards per carry so Boise I mean granted they may have the best tail back in the country they outrush him but I don't I don't care what their guy did your guys didn't do that that's really what I'm more focused on here uh you didn't like what you saw in week one fair enough I believed we' see an emphatic response and we really didn't really did not offensive line is not figured out I mean they're still mixing and matching combinations in the game and maybe my biggest concern with Oregon right now is through two weeks they've shown no ability to control a game they've won both the games uh but the state of Idaho is out of teams to send you to play now you played Idaho you play Boise State eventually you're going to hop into games against better competition that doesn't mean Oregon couldn't figure things out it just means they better figure things out there way too many negative plays with this offense they had seven sacks through two games they had five in each of the last two seasons so through two games Gabriel's already been sacked more than they were the entire season each of the last two seasons they had nine penalties last night they had eight the week before they can't sustain drives that way they can't run the ball and they're continually putting themselves behind the chains they can't sustain drives they're scoring plays were 34 yards 59 yards they had a punt return for a touchdown and they had a 69 yard pass that set up a one yard uh score that's how they're having to score right now that's good that you can score via explosive Play here's the problem when You Face a good defense and you're still mistake prone the mistakes will still show up those explosive plays probably won't be there that is the classic recipe for someone who's leaning on explosive plays to have the Crowbar thrown in the bicycle spokes there is a world where if Oregon doesn't get this straightened out they get shut down when they play Ohio State just point blank that's still a ways down the road they got a lot of time to figure it out they got really good football players on this team but they got to figure that out because they are ripe to be shut down by a higher caliber defense right now Boise is not good defensively they are not good at all they had 45 hung on them by Georgia Southern last week that's not a good team that is a team that had traveled to the Deep South and then with no rest traveled all the way to the West Coast you should have had a huge Edge on them and you didn't defense is good though uh it's a kind of a misleading number there because of the turnovers Oregon's defense is playing okay they got to get that offensive line right very underwhelming first couple of weeks so there is always the possibility that we just overrated him that I overrated him I I still don't think so still think there's a much different gear that team's capable of hitting just had hit it through two weeks [Music]
