track and field power couple Hunter Woodall and Tara Davis Woodall are bringing home another gold medal Hunter ran in the men's 400 meter final at the Paris Paro Olympic Games on September 6th the 25-year-old crossing the Finish Line with a time of 4636 seconds coming in first Hunter and Tara went viral for their emotional reaction after she won her first Olympic medal for her long jump win at the 2024 Paris Olympics the couple celebrated his victory in similar fashion Hunter running to his wife and embracing her right after the win this was his fourth career paralympic medal Hunter competed in the games after testing positive for covid about 2 weeks prior why uh you fre back come on no I tested positive for Co today now Tara's Sho me away just like a little bit ago you were asking if you could hang out with me in the room yeah but not what I just heard up and go into that room and you're stuck in there forever okay this switch up is [Laughter] crazy set it down and get out of here she was mad at me 5 minutes ago for not letting her hang out with me in the room and now look at you what spr your freaking throat here's your Forever water cuz you're LIF the truste get out of here I already feel bad enough man the couple spoke with access after Tara's win reflecting on the moment in how they support each other as they compete when you and Hunter were hugging yeah he was talking to you yeah what was he saying to you do you remember H he was like you're the Olympic champ baby you did it you did it you're the Olympic champ he's like go see your parents go see your dad go give him the hug go give him a hug and I was like oh I can't even believe it it's why I'm listen this why I love you to get over here real quick get over here real quick I mean it was it was incredible when when did you know that your lady was going to be walking away with a gold medal um it wasn't yesterday having a long time before that is that right yeah I mean man she is I posted on Instagram and I've said to a lot of people I mean uh she is just so dialed in this year she is so disciplined she's working harder than anybody I know she's motivated me um and it was like not to be denied you know what I mean so it was like you just you just don't go through all that not even just this season but all the struggles she's been through all the difficulties like you don't go through all that for nothing so I was like yeah I don't know she's be y'all are such an inspiring couple for so many reasons but that Embrace at the end of the meet I mean I was like I want I want somebody to hug me like that and it was it was a really special thing I'm so glad that you let us in on that moment what was going through your mind when you were hugging her just thinking about like everything that we've we've been through these past years this the journey that it's taken and and uh especially Tara just like has been to the bottom of the bottom you know like Rock Bottom like not even wanting to continue in this sport not even want to continue at all and then like I didn't even want to continue with life I was not I did not want to do anything wao yeah I almost quit in 2020 wa yeah and what was the thing that brought you back how did you get out of that space I mean when you hear like not even life you know I this interview could have gone a number of different ways but I want to honor that thank you right because like that that's not there's no it's not easy to be an Olympian no it's not even easy to be an athlete but it is also certainly not easy also to make the choice no I got some more that I want to do I got to be around I mean this moment right here is why I wanted to stay this is this moment um Hunter has helped me through it all he's been my rock he's been my partner and hands down even at my lowest of lows and uh he's never given up on me um and you know my supporters and my family about to make me cry cuz it's just it's you can feel it what you can feel that energy you can feel that love um as we get ready to go thank you so much for sharing that I appreciate it I really really do of course um we're getting ready to go into the the par Olympic Games man like how are you feeling like what's are you locked in are you in the zone I'm locked in i d was like come on one of the best things about being with Tara is like we do the exact same things we eat the same we recover the same we sleep the same so when Tara goes out there and balls out I I did the exact same things as her so it gives me such a boost of confidence that you know she can go out there and do it I say maybe I can go do it too so it's just yeah she's the biggest inspiration to me and uh yeah it's on I'm ready to go oh [Music]
