Connor Lew on 73-3 win over Alabama A&M

yeah I think we came out strong um but just like just like with anything we always have room to improve so happy with how we played as offense happy how we played as offensive line we have some stuff to clean up and you know attack next week versus Cal your three freshman receivers all got in the end zone tonight uh how gratifying is it to see those kind of Playmakers make plays tonight I mean it's awesome to see really anybody get in the end zone on those guys just the work that we've put in since January really um see them get get to see it P off for them and score in their first game that was pretty cool Conor what does it mean to have so many explosive plays in this offense I mean that's who we are that's who we're trying to be as an offense so uh as long as we just keep building every week and keep doing the same thing I think we'll be in in a good position come at the end of the season Tyler got the start at left tackle tonight just you know how do you feel like he handled that and just you know everything that he's done this off season to to get him to that point yeah no I think he handled it as as good as anybody could could have asked him to do as a freshman or not freshman sorry um but as his first start I think he handled it amazingly um like I said like you said um the hard work that he put in hard work we put in as offensive line getting him getting him out there and getting a chance to see him play for the first time in like a real game environment it was good to see we've heard a lot about him pretty much since the bowl game but obviously like you said he's not necessarily an experienced guy what have you seen maybe behind closed doors that that have made him such a guy that's that's risen up so quickly just tremendous you know growth in a short period of time I think it was really really happened really quickly um between the end of last season and now but it's been really cool to see his growth and his development as a player Conor California coming in next weekend a little bit tough for opponent it was a close game with you guys last year yeah we're going to be in in for a dog fight just like last year um so start getting prepared tomorrow
