into the sports Shuffle technology is actually working Yoo fresh off of off air political talk and celebrating the fact that we don't need to use multiple services to communicate to each other back to normal things it is day number one kickoff day for the 2024 NFL season I am very excited I am also flying Ryan Ryan go Christ along with Tampa motor mouth Joel Verlin who is a happy to be uh not having to hit any mutes on any mics yeah no more hitting mutes no more voice calls over Facebook so we can communicate because I can only hear Joel on here but he can't hear me but they don't know what's going on it just it was crazy because we were because I I figured out because Ryan was using a different browser and the browser that we were using for some reason wasn't allowing it to so I don't know I don't think it the browser I think it was a bug in their system they had to fix because I tried on the same one you were using it didn't work then either but be life is back up and back to normal we are back for the 2024 season we've had a couple weeks off since our last draft uh I went out of town oh draft teams I'm actually down one fantasy league just just because all of a sudden I ended up I mean it's not really one of those important ones but you know when you get into the drafting bug and you're like all right I want to draft again I want to draft again you know after you draft and it's just like like a like a booster draft for you know for Magic the Gathering but uh so anyway like I want to draft again so boom so I did and it wasn't a bad draft so then I'm checking back on a little later on and I'm like how come I have just the league of winning because I had this other team it was actually not even a a Bad Name the the the league name was a liberation of night you know then I'm checking I'm like what happened tonight the person deleted the entire deleted the entire league oh that's fun so I'm like okay I'm guessing somebody didn't like their draft I'm guessing the commissioner didn't like their draft uh board will be updated by our next show which will be Saturday but I'm down to 10 this year it's not updated down from 14 last year so little bit less work so that's crazy have you ever had something like that happen where you're like wasn't I part of a league no I haven't had one get deleted because the draft happened and the guy goes that team sucks H we did have uh I did have someone tell me that they had someone missed the draft for whatever reason they autodraft and then left the league in like a rage quit thing so they're trying to find uh an orphan owner for a redraft league which is weird you see that in Dynasty a lot where someone's like hey I uh I don't want to do this anymore they usually do it in like May although the best best Weir of story and I'll give the the very very small Cliff Notes version unlike the other versions of me that would go into a hourong brang about it but there was the dude who ended up uh one time ended up meeting them weather chat and everything was cool it's like oh yeah kind of fantasy leag league I'm like oh okay cool you know somebody says you fantasy league invite you're like yeah cool sounds good checking in you know how it is when you're looking at how you create a team but then you don't change the name so it's Ryan super team right you know like the the stupid dumbass yo yeah generic Yahoo names that come up there and so all of a sudden so I'm signing Leo like go cool and I'm looking at it and I'm seeing five of those exact same team names and I'm like H so I like just sort of I'm like you know thinking you know I tend to have a couple brain cells in me and so I like message the guy I'm like did you create five teams for the link you know just sort of like somebody couldn't Poss done this and he's like oh yeah and he's like that's how we had enough to to Fantasy to do Le do fantasy I left so quickly I'm like I'm like I just I just always remember that I'm like I'm sorry that is not normal in order to play Fantasy Football that you are creating five teams to play on a league that just I'm sorry have you ever what's your craziest fantasy story you have to have one in in there somewhere you probably have been playing longer than I have I mean the craziest one happened a few years ago and it really wasn't that crazy because the league I go up North for the league I just came back from drafting we have a Live party every year and that's part of why we go up North and the rule of the league and I know being from Florida because most people up in Massachusetts or Rhode Island the rule of the league is if you don't attend the draft party you don't play the draft game to pick the order you're going to draft a kick a round one and your team you can build however you want from there so during 2020 during covid uh my wife and I went up for the draft my wife was not in the league yet and two people couldn't show up one had other plans for Labor Day because it's Labor Day weekend they were going to Cape cob with some family said hey I understand the rule I'm going to draft a kicker first I understand it I accept the punishment the other one was saying I don't want to go out and risk getting sick and making my grandparents sick which is okay fine you want to do that and a lot of the people in the league were actually fine with bypassing the rule for that year had the other person not accepted it and the person who wanted to protect their C grandparents not go to a public wiy the night before the draft so you're not worried about going out in public but you're worried about interacting with this group of people not other groups of people because we're all working people and you know we had to travel and they're like well you need to quarantine for two weeks it's like you guys aren't quarantining what are you talking about as soon as you go out you are no longer quarantining so what are you talking about you go into a p like we were 10 people in a league that had all control of the situation was at someone's house like we could spread out far enough you can wear your mask you can wear your gloves you can stay as far away all you got to do is show up for the draft party and then leave and we're like hey we will do whatever we got to do to make it work so he decides hey I'm not going to show up we go okay well since you went to a Wier the night before and we already have someone who's accepted the punishment you're going to draft a kicker in round one well they do that and then they draft a kicker for every other round of the draft and then their team sucks gee I wonder why so they you know one of the rules of the league you have to set up valid lineup so he's spending the entire like next few days to get to week one with a valid lineup dropping kickers and adding other players and about we had to go back up in October for a wedding for two people in the league should have saved like the way for transaction from I'm sure I can go back and find it because nfl.com doeses do stuff like that so we had to go back up north for a wedding for two people in the league uh right now the league is five couples oddly enough but one of the couples getting married in October so we go back up we go to the wedding this person was supposed to be in the wedding but again covid can't do it and they were being you know now there's some animosity because the guy after the draft actually went after another guy who's still in the league who had nothing to do with it uh it was just like this guy is an idiot I'm like why are you going after Casey Casey just showed up had fun with the rest of us and went home like chill man so we go up for the wedding the next day my wife sees like the camaraderie of this group and people have she like man I really want to be in this league like okay fine well we don't have an opening the next day the guy changes his name to kicker me out and we did um play stupid games Win stupid prizes I I mean I he was actually in our 16 team he was one of the people that left this year um so I know whatever so uh she Britney did not my wife did not get the team at that time because it was a dog turn we just said hey we're gonna ride it out something like the the commissioner's going to manage it but it's just basically going to be setting a valid lineup and that's about it and then yeah Britney got in the next season and then we had the other person who missed that draft drop out this year no animosity just hey you know I got a kid I got a wife they want to do stuff on Labor Day so but yeah that was the one that's like really dude like people are fun but it's one of those like we were GNA do everything we could to make the covid protocols that he wanted to work but he decided no I'd rather go out and risk my safety on a winery with some friends and go out in public not show up to the draft and the best part of the story his grandparents didn't in quarantine and his grandparents that he was trying to protect gave him Co so is is that is that when you go Karma it's one of those you go well that makes sense um yeah that was a or or as you would say it sucks to be you sucks to suck homeboy yeah that's pretty much what it was but uh we moved on leag that definitely topped the dude to created five teams in the fantasy league oh yeah yeah that's uh that's a that's that's just someone who doesn't have friends um but hey it happens you know he could also just join a random person League like that's that's what normal people do anyways let's talk about some football because it is happening uh Brandon auk finally signed his contract for um so CD land is off is off the list and uh even with all of jered's uh uh sputtering and about how there's absolutely nobody else out on the I'm paraphrasing it on the entire planet that can do the job that he did of course you know check the record of the team but ah yeah and it's going to be real fun we just going to have to cough up for deck if Parson ever decides that uh they want some money so yeah Dallas might be fun next year Dallas is going to be very very interesting uh but yeah the only one left to get a contract is Jamar Chase he's got two years left in his rookie deal it's questionable whether or not he's gonna play he has you like me practiced sort of a passed on him kind of because we're not sure if his availability for week one which of course affects fantasy also itely Survivor because I know Bengals and Patriots big huge popular pick do you go with Bengals even with possibility that Jamar Chase because of the whole contract Shenanigans may not suit up for week one and he's their main massive weapon of Destruction if it wasn't the Patriots it'd be a lot more concerned the Patriots are one of the worst teams in football this year expect them to be struggling offensively to win games in fact in the the draft I I just came from up North I drafted the Bengals defense week one because they're playing the Patriots I expect that team to maybe be a 10 to 15 kind of Point scorer I think the Bengals would be just fine I I do think Jamar Chase plays but he's the only one that's really still holding out in any way shape or form me has back practice that whole thing that he wants Justin Jefferson's cont contract with an extra scent added is just so much ego it's hilarious yeah the level of petty in the NFL wide receiver rooms are uh really impressive I mean that's like yeah I I want this much money but an extra scent and can you imagine just being the GM kind of going going serious the problem is he's not worth Justin Jefferson money he's close but he's worth more bruk money Tyreek Hill money not necessarily he needs to catch the bleeping ball I I believe that was the quote left year yeah just catch the damn ball and move on uh not the only 49ers wide receiver news uh a little more stunning and and bad Ricky Piera serious yes Ricky Piera was shot in the chest during uh a busted robbery attempt yeah you're taking the whole like Brian Robinson Story like holy crap story from last year and it's like okay let's try to up it yeah Brian was shot in the butt talks so there were like some jokes that could be made and the Forest Gump line that I just quoted uh someone getting shot in the chest tends to be a lot more significant fortunately for him didn't hit any vital organs exited the back of him so I mean he's got a wound but that's about it uh and that will heal over time he's expected to come back this season um good news for Ricky peaw he actually was able to you know help somebody and walk over to the ambulance on his own power which uh being shot through is pretty impressive and um I don't think we have to worry about him missing games for a sprained toe or something like that like definitely better than the you're not you're not going to talk about the hockey player for your final thoughts are you no not going to talk about Johnny GD um definitely worth worth mentioning that was another terrible story over the last few days if you don't know there was a drunk driver hit and run both he and his brother Matthew were bicycling and just holy crap just yeah that was it was a bad it's a bad story just because one or either of them passed away let alone both it's a worst story when they're all in town for their sister's wedding and it's just her her best day of her life all of a sudden just turned in one second to the worst just yeah it's and then and then I saw on the uh utree subreddit I won't say the full name but urinating tree Ur it's his name urinating tree is subreddit that somebody actually posted apparently allegedly that the accused who was the drunk driver apparently there was some transcript that they were miffed that they had to say in whole extra days because the judge wasn't back until Tuesday because this happened over the over one of the holiday weekends and you just see somebody than that if indeed is factually true it's like here's somebody who drove drunk ended two lives without any responsibility and the one thing that they were most concerned about was I have to stay a couple extra days it's just like yeah if you're worried about an extra 24 hours in jails man you are not going to like what happens when they take you to trial uh it's going to be more than 24 hours might be you know the rest of his life uh but yeah that's a Terri storyi anytime you saw when you're checking like the social media and you're like why are all their these Johnny G post and then you check it and you're like holy exploitive that's why because anytime there's that many posts it's usually not good and oh boy yeah I mean all pretty much every team has said their support for lightning I mean sh did his team yeah he was supposed to be in the face of the franchise for the Columbus W jackets and one of the questions is being asked is how the hell do they recuperate and recover from something like this just and they had a go a couple years ago for something crazy as well I can't remember the name or the exact story but I know he did maybe three years ago or so so uh really terrible story Cole colfield of the Montreal Canadians did change his number to 13 in honor of which was a really touch but unfortunately we are we're at a great athlete and the guy who went by Johnny hockey so uh and I was up in New England Massachusetts and he went to Boston College so he kind of hit that Community pretty hard which kind of an interesting you know going into a bubble where he is more beloved than where where he is in South Florida like let's be real if he's not Stam Coast headman or Lightning player maybe a few Panthers most people down here are not beloving hockey players but yeah going up there it was it was a very different vibe very different uh reaction in a lot of ways um but yeah unfortunate situation unfortunate terrible terrible story and I really hope that the guy responsible since apparently didn't have any remorse for his actions just there's anybody that deserves the full grunt of Justice like if it was me I wouldn't want to get out and face the world after I did something like that he's like but I want my holiday weekend get the judge back here so I on my barbecue on Monday like go uh no you're going somewhere for a very long time yeah enjoy your toilet wine and your um forc encounters with well-endowed men in CS um anyways let's talk some football because uh that's sad that's story sad bad bad flying bad flying I I hey I I like having fun um and when it's a dark story you gotta try and lighten it up somehow but let's talk some football uh let's do corner let's do our Super Bowl picks first Joel um because usually if we don't do this first we'll forget about it who do you've got coming out of each conference and he have winning the Super Bowl this year okay unlike the brilliant day when I end up picking two people from the same conference that we promis not to do that again thank you hey those were not official picks yes says it's called anybody can podcast ladies and gentlemen absolutely anybody but I mean the mic's not that expensive in all seriousness that looking at uh for the AFC I'm picking just because I think they're ready they had a an unbelievable Stroke of Luck not all that good uh last year they were involved with that insane game with of course thear so got to pick the Bengals on the AFC to finally get back I think they're going to take care of the whole Jamar Chase they're G give him his stupid sense worth here's your sense worth okay now here's your sense here's your money now show up and get us back to debow and I think that they're ready and hopefully bro can avoid any injuries even though they still Pro pretty darn lethal even when he ended up getting knocked out last year but here's hoping that they can stay healthy and on the side of the NFC yes I'm drinking the Detroit Kool-Aid and I'm going the Lions because I think they still have the good unit uh hopefully Dan Campbell can sort of reel himself in a little bit from some of those questionable calls hopefully certain wide receivers decide not to gamble on facility rounds again or anywhere near the team don't do that and they can get back not only to the top of the NFC but the Super Bowl so I'm picking Bengals on the AFC and for the NFC I'm going Detroit Lions just because I think that you're going to have the Super Bowl hangover big time the 49ers they've just been through the whole Brandon iuk drama and I know the Chiefs I know the Chiefs everybody the the NFL is pushing for them pulling for them to achieve that history that history is harder than some people think and even if it's they fall just a little bit short maybe a lot short that they get knocked out in the divisional round or maybe they make it to uh face the Bengals and then get knocked out I just think it's a lot harder than some people realize that it is so Bengals and lions for the Super Bowl and who do you got winning that one I'm thinking I'm thinking Bengals okay sorry Lions has Bengals over Lions the NFC for me is the harder side so I'll start with the AFC one I'll give myself a second to think I think um I don't think the Chiefs can three repat I just think it's too hard I think it's too much luck too much health you know one of your best players is Travis Kelce he's in his early to mid-30s injuries and Father Time's eventually going to catch up to him can peo be the number one one running back is worthy or Rasheed rice with his legal issues what's the availability gonna be can they step up NBO and you know you lost Sneed in that secondary last year that's going to be a much bigger hit than you realize I think that defense is going to take a slight step back um I think for me the only way the Dolphins can possibly get there if they're the one seed and I kind of think they're going to end up as like the two seed here and the one seed I think is the Ravens they play tonight I think Derrik Henry if he can stay healthy can complete this team Mitchell coming back you think that Derk Henry is the solution to whatever was causing the Ravens the problem with the running game in the championship game I mean if you have Derek Henry and you don't P you don't run the ball like crazy that's on coaching and every everybody needs to get fired including Harbaugh who's been there for years and been a great coach but you have Derrick Henry and you have Lamar Jackson could you imagine the option ability for Lamar Jackson to hand it off or keep it himself in this offense when you need a third and six oh oh they're gonna go after Henry cool I'm gonna run it for 45 yards up the outside oh you're gonna focus on me cool Henry's gonna plow through three guys and get a h is basically functionally the rb1 Jackson is functionally rb2 yeah and with Justice Hill who is capable with Keaton Mitchell coming back from the the knee injury at some point he is a very capable running back as well they can kind of spell him throughout the season keep him as fresh as possible but he's gonna be used heavily in that offense and then when you have to focus on Derrick Henry you have to worry about Lamar Jackson running all of a sudden this could be a breakout season for Rashad baitman this could be a z flowers breakout season this could be another monster season for Mark Andrews I I just think there's too much on that offens side that defense while they did lose a couple players I don't think they took such a big step back I think they still going to be the best team in the league in the AFC I'm going to go with the Ravens the NFC is much harder now I do think it's a a five team pool Lions Packers from the north the 49ers from the west and the Eagles and possibly the Cowboys from the East the Bucks are like wait wait wait wait wait wait down there there's a part of me that wanted to say the Falcons take a big step because it's a weak division they can get a high seed and possibly do some damage but I think when it comes down to it when the Falcons play the Eagles the Cowboys the Packers the Lions cousins achilles going to come back I mean he's been gone long enough where it should be fine Achilles they're tedious to heal team cousins and Rogers but he is not you know when it's a running back you have to have that quick twitch moves and that's what's hard on a repaired Achilles it's not the same for a statue dropback quarterback like cousins or or Aaron Rogers so I think they'll be fine but I'm not going to go that way I'm gonna go with the Dallas C no I'm not I'm not insane um I was wondering what you were smoking there for a second no I just wanted to if there's anybody watching this cowbo oh BL oh no he how about Cowboy I am gonna say it's going to be the Eagles I I don't know why I think the coordinator changes are going to make some big moves on that offense and defensive side they did focus on their weakness is going to be coaching for his coaching life which in fact he is oh he he definitely is but if you can't win or at least get to the Super Bowl they're very very close to it with AJ Brown Devon Smith Dallas SCD saquin Barkley and Jaylen Herz on offense and then upgrade your defense where you need upgrade over Swift massive upgrade over Swift swift couldn't get in from the five and Barkley will that's why Jaylen Herz had so many one- yard tush pushes uh I do expect I really do expect the Eagles to be a very good team if that offensive defensive secondary can take a step in the right direction this could be the best team in the NFC by a good margin um I do think the Packers lines and San Francisco 49ers will all you can put them all on a hat draw one and you've got a decent shot of being right at who comes out of the NFC I just have this sneaking feeling all of a sudden it's going to be the Eagles so uh I've got two birds I'm going to take the Ravens to win it I just think I think that two-headed running monster between Henry and Lamar Jackson's gonna open up too much so Henry just alone is far better than Dobbins and the Gus bus put together I mean they were never healthy for one and when you're going with Justice Hill Keaton Mitchell Devonta Freeman Dalvin cook who was like you're getting these retreads and old guys and unproven guys to try and carry the load if d Henry can stay healthy we've seen him have 17 1800 yard seasons behind bad offensive lines the Ravens have a better offensive line they've had it with Ryan tanah Hill at quarterback well Lamar Jackson has to scare you as a running option with Derrick Henry so which one do you choose to stop on plays were okay I wouldn't be surprised if the first two plays for the the Ravens tonight are a handoff to Derrick Henry and a pull from a handoff from Derrick Henry where Lamar Jackson keeps it just to be like you don't know what we're doing good luck stopping this exact scenario just to put the Chiefs on that back foot right away but I just think the Ravens their defense is still going to be fantastic I think they have a very young defense is going to continue to get better and if Lamar Jackson can throw the ball at all like he has the the couple of MVP years and when he stayed healthy you know the Ravens pounded the Dolphins last year and uh they should have been able to be yeah wasn't quite Dolphins Broncos but it hurt um but they should have been able to beat the Chiefs but they didn't run the ball and that's going to be fixed this year where do you how deep do you think the Chiefs make it in their three Pat hunt though I'd say at least divisional if not conference and then just something happens that they get denied I think they go out in the divisional round it might be to the Ravens uh like I said Ravens end up being the one and the Dolph entirely but they get out early who's beating him in the NFC West that alone puts him in the playoffs Ravens the Broncos the Chargers all were below 500 last year none of them in my estimation got better you can say what you want about Jim Harbaugh going to the Chargers you lose keown you lose Mike Williams you have a salary cap problem you can't replace those guys you got worse the coaching's Inna help and they might surprise and be a better team maybe a fringe playoff team but they're not a division winner yet uh the Raiders great defense if Samir white can be good Garder M almost got the Colts there they could be wild card quality Garder mchu might be okay but they're Wild Card quality at best okay and if Bo Knicks ends up being the next great Denver quarterback this team could be dangerous but again I don't see them competing back up in one of the leagues oh yeah I am very high on bck I don't think this is going to be the season for him but if you have Dynasty options like go if you can get him on the cheap get him on the cheap I do think he's going to be very very good Shan Payne is going to know to use him that's why they went after him the way they did but uh you've got a kitty cat battle between the Bengals and lions and taking the Bengals I've got a bird battle I'm taking the Ravens over the Eagles hopefully it'll be better than that time I picked the Colts and the Cardinals and they had a combin seven wins on the Seas I would be shocked if the Ravens and Eagles combined for seven wins um short of week five anyways let's go to the two games of the the week this week we have our first NFL meaningful game at doing hopefully the N dmca version there yeah 8:20 tonight on NBC the Chiefs raise the banner and they bring in the Baltimore Ravens that I was just talking about the team that they knocked out to get to the Super Bowl the RAV again retooling with Derk Henry is a big big deal in my mind Mark Andrews is still there both of those guys going to be in your lineup as well as Lamar Jackson Z flowers at least going to be in some Flex consideration in deeper leagues you might have to consider Rashad baitman but those are very deep leagues for Kansas City obviously Mahomes Kelce going to be inl with Isaiah Pacho at the wide receiver spot you probably have Rashi rice at least in that Fringe Flex consideration I know have Xavier worthy uh would be a flex but remember it's Thursday night move those guys from your Flex into their positional roles just in case you have to flex something later you still have that flexibility not as big of a deal in week number one but you want to remember it so uh essentially worthy would be a flex for me but he's in the wide receiver two slot and it was Terry mclen who slid to the the flex so just remember simple call first game of the year remember THS night like he was just doing it yeah no no I I did that earlier but just remember it's the first game you need your reminder move your Thursday and Friday night guys to your main lineup leave those Flex spots available in case something happens uh we did see Russell Wilson have some calfs tightness today self-reported yeah so you know stuff like that can happen not that you're playing Russell Wilson in a flex position unless you're in super flex but hypothetically he played tonight he had that come up you want him in you know you want to have that option if you had Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson in super Flex you want have that option to switch him out later uh yeah but for the Chiefs worthy and rice are are interesting Flex possibilities Baltimore is a three-point Underdog on the road usually home team gets the three-point bump we are picking in this one straight up Joel has won three years and I've won one so you know I got some work to do Kansas City raising the banner they did lose this game last year to the Lions should be a p a Powerhouse match up between two of the top five or six teams in the NFL Joel for the first time all year who you got all right we've got Baltimore we've got KC we've got uh some Sayer that they're mentioning 50 good jillion times once again that's how you can tell football is back you're looking at both those teams I know everyone's talking Chiefs everyone's talking Arrowhead so let's remember how it started out last year that there's a little bit of a shocker because they hadn't signed Chris Jones and there's a whole Travis Kelsey question of course by the second game they sort of got everything right and they gave Mr Jones his Monee but that's why I'm thinking about that you you can have a Super Bowl hangover even after you win and I know a lot of people are going to want to put some money down on the Chiefs want to put it down on Arrowhead and fun fact if you're an opposing quarterback don't try to rename the stadium after yourself like a certain Bengals quarterback once did yeah so I know I know it's Chiefs I know you're going to have the pump you're G to have the circumstance you're going to have the Swift you're going to have all of that in the channel in the corner of the Chiefs but still I'm thinking super will hangover week one the Ravens are going to be on a mission and once again they have a brand new weapon of mass destruction and one Mr Derek Henry and he is going to be B he is going to be ready to Feast along with Lamar Jackson who is on a mission of his own and that's why I know I'm taking the Baltimore Ravens to win week one call me crazy in Arrow I am also on the Ravens it would kind of be disingenuous if I had just said they're going to go to the Super Bowl and I think they're going to win to say they're going to lose to the Chiefs in week number one but for what I had said during that talk and what Joel just said when it comes to Derk Henry he's going to be an absolute monster he's going to get a lot of work tonight the chief defense if there's a weakness it's going to be against the run and when they start stopping Derrick Henry Lamar Jackson can pull it out and take it to the house on his own I think they're just going to put the the the uh Kansas City defense on their back foot very early early that offense for the Chiefs I think it's going to take some time to get rolling I mentioned uh when we did our picks I think Buffalo is going to be a team that offensively and defensively for the first half of the season it's a learning curve I think this Chief's offense for the first three four weeks might be on a similar learning curve they're gonna have to rely on Isaiah Peko a lot Travis Kelce they don't want to beat the hell up but you got to get him involved I just think the Ravens are frankly a better team I'm sure we'll see too many shots lot of Taylor Swift hanging out in the booth as well and that just over under will be Infinity yeah it'll take the under on Infinity but not by much and then this week we have a Friday night football game Friday Friday got to get down on Friday in Brazil between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles for the Packers you're going to play Josh Jacobs you're probably going to play in love if you have them on your rosters outside of that there's a lot of question marks at the wide receiver not they're bad but is it going to be Jaden Reed there's gonna be dos there gonna be wats to feed there's so many Ms to feed and then you also have melt scra at the tight end position so what are you gonna do with these wide receiver options I think if you drafted Reed where you had to he's probably going to be in your flexx consideration at minimum maybe Des uh Christian Watson sorry not desan Watson Christian Watson and Rome dobs might be in that had a massage problem the other one didn't yeah Wix is gonna be a little further down your roster probably not gonna be in your lineup this week maybe mus grave if you get kind of desperate um but I yeah we'll we'll we'll see how that goes for the Packers that's uh that's pretty much it for the Eagles uh saquan Barkley GNA be in your lineup Jaylen Herz AJ Brown devont Smith in your lineup got her at least in consideration for um for maybe a flex or tight end if you needed one this game being in Brazil I think is a great equalizer I think Philadelphia is technically the home team but that doesn't mean a whole He the whole thing about that they can't wear green right yeah they picked two green teams and the Green Bay Packers are wearing their green jerseys so I don't know what that that's all about they are going to be wearing green in the stadium I know it's whatever they pick two green teams because the color of Brazil the flag is primarily green green yellow with also question of air quality too well there's been a lot of drought fire and floods in Brazil it's been a weird year for weather down there so we'll see but between these two teams these are again two I said Eagles uh Packers Lions Niners you can put them in a hat pull one out and that could be your Super Bowl contestant that's two of these teams so again we're looking at some of the the higher end options in the NFL two of the top 10 teams at minimum here Joel what do you got this one I think it's a case I know that you have have to take into account that they're going way the hell out of their com comfort zone as far as time zones trying to acclimate to a whole new city you know a whole new Whole New World down there you know a whole new rigar roll and it's going to be almost like a case of you know okay we're here to play football and try not to pay attention to O shiny So you you're looking at both teams Packers tend to be a little bit of a younger side I think the Philadelphia Eagles are on more of a mission than the Green Bay Packers are because the Green Bay Packers if you take a look let's go into the way back machine the Green Bay Packers have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of they absolutely embarrassed just freaking embarrassed the living hell out of the Dallas Cowboys in the playoffs last year everyone's going who be The Who so they don't have anything to prove to anybody I think going into week one now on the other hand let's take a look at the Philadelphia Eagles and going the way back machine when they end up coming into the buck I don't think they were planning on having that kind of game that they did that they didn't just lose they were embarrassed they were absolutely totally embarrassed badly so Philadelphia they are on a mission week one it doesn't matter are they in Philadelphia are they in Green Bay are they in Brazil it doesn't matter where they are week one they're in a mission they want to get back to the top and that mission begins on Friday and for those reasons all the changes made I think the Philadelphia Eagles will will be ready and they are the better team over the Green Bay Packers picking the Eagles I am going to take Green Bay this is about as true of a tossup as I can think in week number one you also have the travel concern so I don't think either team should be worried if they don't win this week I don't think either team should get too high on themselves if they do win this week I think the Philadelphia Eagles with the young secondary a lot of r iies on that team in the back uh half of the lineup I think their defense is going to be suspect in a team like Green Bay that's got four wide receivers that can get you I think that's a dangerous proposition I do think without Travis Kelce or sorry the other Kelsey brother Jason Kelce who black imaginary flash to neuralizer zap he was calling out the line protections for the Eagles until this year so Jaylen Herz is gonna have to figure out how to do that I don't know how good or bad he is at that so we'll see but that's going to cause some hiccups they do have coordinator changes on the offense and the defensive side of the ball getting everything in Rhythm it can take some time Green Bay new defensive coordinator but Joe Barry was an absolute Abomination so I don't think that's a downg wasn't very good no and we saw the Packers the second half of the Season be one of the best teams in football or where the Philadelphia Eagles were one of the worst teams in football so I think I'm just kind of riding a little bit of uh what I saw at the end of the year was the Eagles had a lot of the same players given they didn't have Barkley um and they struggled and the Packers had a lot of the same guys they have now and have upgraded in a lot of positions so I think the Packers are on par with the Philadelphia Eagles both of the teams Baltimore and Green Bay are both uh Underdog so if you're looking at betting lines like this could be a good place to take both underdogs and make a little bit on that but I got Green Bay winning in what should be a very close competitive game exclusively on peacock remember what the other thing was because I remember it was definitely the refs the refs is the big one there yeah the refs that he can not criticize and that just sends to me that it's going to be very very very vanilla and that's the question is is how important is it to you to be a minority owner of the Raiders and why does he want to be a minority owner of the team you know why not just sort of be happy to be the play byplay dude the number one person that everyone's going to be gravitating towards that all the attention will be towards and we'll see whether or not because I know Tony the way you know you're here here here are these things that we would kind of like if you were to not talk about I mean you know back in the day you really couldn't even insinuate anything with gambling of course that that's kind of you know with DraftKings and everybody else and all the other sponsors and that's sort you know out in the window right now but you know normally now Tom Brady himself has some specific restrictions it it's just kind of be interesting to see if at any time during the season that he violates those restrictions just because you're going to have something betting on the baseball game you have people who are betting on anytime touchdowns on over under on spreads on Alternate lines on teasers you have so many different things and sometimes one very important play just just completely determines and changes the outcome of the whole game and yes especially with with the way gambling has literally taken over Sports yeah I mean it's it's definitely more involved than it's ever been before it's more accessible than it's ever been before most most good and bad I think yeah I mean while we're on the topic of gambling yes I do have bets in um some crazy ones that I'll talk about here in a minute but always remember just if you have a gambling problem call 800 18 admit it uh but if you do not have the means to gamble by all means just just foro it until times are better um or make bets like I make where there a 16 leg parlay for week number one I've got two of them out there one that's just overs and unders I picked every games over picked memory serves because I remember somebody talking about that yeah I want to look at what it is because that that's a that's just not modern era that's like hysterically historically bad I mean if you go to the modern era with a minimum of 120 games played um so this is pre or from 1901 till now the Philadelphia Athletics 36 and 117 so better 36 and 117 is a 235 win percentage right now the white socks are 32 and 109 with a 227 s snapshot them I think the athletic had uh what was it one of the things that they had a snapshot of their entire park that was almost empty I mean practically empty and then you had the play of the three players doing a high school running into each other type play that caused all the bases to empty and clear yeah that's pretty much a snapshot of their entire season as as tough a year as the Rays have had at least we ate the socks as of right now there are four teams in baseball B baseball is wide open this year oh that's very true too we haven't talked
