against a really good winner set ball Club Madison uh I tell you what you didn't get an easy job tonight I thought you did a nice job with that you're going to have to meet a girl to go up against Jenna young uh what was the mentality for you coming into this book knowing you had to guard her tonight you know she's really quick on offense so just like taking a step off of her to let give her some space give me some space to recuperate and then also having my teammates there to Trapper on any of those ball handle uh traps and like screens and stuff like that talk about the communication with you and your teammates tonight because you know if Jenna made a move and got a little space on you they had to jump out and help how are you guys communicating here tonight I thought you did a pretty good job yeah the post did a really nice job of telling me when the screen is coming what side it was on and so then that really helped me like um get close up to her make those traps how did you feel like you and the girls worked offensively tonight and executed against the difference right you know a couple of us were cold who's usually hot but I think we still um put a fight to it and tried to score where were you guys able to get your shots off tonight I know you were able to get some Gerber penetration late but you mentioned getting some looks just cool how are you guys able to get looks tonight I think getting working into the post um it was there a couple often um getting the reversal looking in the post had like pin up there come off that ice win and a great good effort over the weekend against currently what did you take from that game to kind of work into this one you know just don't think too much about it just play your game try to score Drive everything like that you head out into Ballard now on Friday night what are you looking at with that matchup you know it'll be tough they'll be quick but I think we can put a fight to them and pull out a win by Taylor Madison always fun watching and play appreciate you coming up joining us here in the post game best of luck coming up Friday night thank you you bet Madison tuning joining us we've got head coach Katie cook making her way over here to the headphones and stuff and always joke with the coach that uh you know coach needs to wear those headphones first because the players come up a little bit sweaty and and you hear Coachella a little gross though those those look like so they were a little sweaty today that's okay she works hard that's all that matters talk about that defensive effort from her tonight I thought she did a really nice job with help from the defense and her teammates against Jenny Young yeah I mean Madison did a great job and I like you said the whole team did defensively and we played a really a really great game um the 41 points so and a lot of them from the free throw line unfortunately yeah I was proud of our defense about here tonight what stood out for you about the way the defense played just um they stuck to the game plan they do they listened they buy in they know it but they understand what we're trying to do um and then they execute now we just got to put it together on the other end of the floor did you feel like you were executing as far as offenses giving looks tonight I thought you had some open looks that just didn't go for you yeah you know and that's kind of the same old story for us but also you know we turn it over too much right foreign we've got to fix that we we need every opportunity to score as possible because we struggle as it is but uh so we just got to take better care of them I did notice about five or six of those unforced ones in the first half tonight but the second half you get down 11 you had at least four possessions with a chance to cut into that lead just not able to get the buckets to fall how much did that hurt I think if you get this into single digits it could be a different final here tonight few more shots Paul a few calls go the other way we put a more more free throws in the bucket I mean but that's how it goes um and at the end of the day we just we've got to move on and learn from it and continue to try to get better got another game coming up Friday never an easy place to play over to the Huxley to take on Ballard what did the bombers look like this year but different than they have been in the past they don't really have one Superstar they just have a good group of girls so it'll be tough they're they're number one this week in 4A so we'll have our work cut out
